autos are great daily/commuting cars, even better than manual, but imo a true drivers car is equipped with a standard 5/6 speed manual tranny

If dual clutches can downshift through corners in a split second then they're worth it.

They also have to be predictable unlike regular automatics. I hated going through turns with an automatic because I never knew when it would downshift and I wouldn't like the raw power speeding me up to where I don't want to be in the corner.

Just let me downshift when I want and let me control the speed in the corner. Auto is such shit for that. Auto should be outlawed and dual clutch only from now on.

And yeah what's the point of manual when dual clutch exists. People only like manual if they've never driven dual clutch. I've driven plenty of Audi and vw dsg transmissions and I really enjoyed it.

You can't skip gears in a DSG, so there's that. Also, you can't bump start one. It's also more expensive than a manual, both to buy and repair. They're limited on power output. Should I keep going or are you slowly realizing how retarded you are?

Why not get one with a light clutch for a daily if you like it? I know I won't be able to daily a cable clutch car for too much longer, but a hydraulic clutch is pretty comfy.

I've never seen a DCT in a truck before. There's probably a reason and it more than likely involves towing.
