It doesn't look nearly as good as the 11-14 models. Fuck this bullshit "make everything look exactly like the Fusion or Focus" styling. It still looks nice, but it doesn't look fantastic. Either go full retro or go full sportscar like the New Edge SN95, don't make some kind of blob that sits in the middle.

I'm not a huge fan of the retro movement myself, but the 11-14 Mustangs made it work. So does the current Challenger. My main point is, pick one and stick with it, don't try to fuse the two.

I think the 2015 Mustang looks much better than the previous gen. The previous gen is basically a boomermobile. The new one looks refined and aggressive.

The new one doesn't know what it wants to be. It isn't really "refined" in the slightest, it's stuck halfway between "muh murrican muscle" and sportscar. It also looks like it's slightly melted, like all new cars. It needs to pick one style.

Hmm let's see needed lowered an inch, the cluch assist spring needed ripped out right away, shifting to second can be a little off clunky if you don't hit it just right. Wouldn't mind a hair more low end power and it was a little too quiet off the lot. Might as well rip out the back seats to reduce pig fat as I've already dropped out 30 lbs of exhaust.

Luckily all that can be easily modded.

Springy clutch and shitty 1-2 shift here too brethren

Gotten use to the clutch by now, and the 1-2 shift is rough when you're still getting use to the car. Tremecs are pretty stout though, I've heard the Ferd MT-82 will literally rattle itself apart under anymore power than above stock.

This is coming from 5ho who I think has already had to replace something internally within his trans

I don't get how it's a flaw. RWD generally means you're gonna have a good time with it. Little bit of tire smoke when you want, hektik skidz when you want, if you fuck up on the track and the rear end starts to come around, you have a chance of powering out of it.

I've been looking in to some braces I've read can help, if I'm just rolling normally in traffic I actually pull the shifter into the neutral position instead of trying to pull straight down and it's usually really smooth. At 4 grand or better it slides in easy.

If it's got an extra assist spring I'd rip that bitch out.

MGW shifter and a clutch/tob replacement, Mine makes quite a bit of noise, but it also has like 200 passes on it at the drag strip so it wouldnt surprise me if it shits itself, I would like to do a tr6060 swap but that is 2expense so if it cant be warrantied ill just get my mt82 built

thing is i want a front splitter and nobody makes them for my car, but i happened upon this image today and the shape of its front end bears a striking resemblance to the shape of my front end. if its a similar size ill just buy the mustang one and adapt it to fit.

The ecoboost could have been a separate model with a different body and cheaper interior and ford could have made an actual cheap rwd sports car worth a shit

There is a stigma on non-v8 mustangs that is literally unshakable in the public mind, no matter how many benchraces between 80's SVO's and their respective GT variants take place. Ford could have done no new engineering, give it a corporate "angry aston martin" grin instead of the melted rmustang rendition we have now, go light on the corporate electronic crap in the name of value, and dig up an old nameplate for a cheap sport base car and suddenly sell tens of thousands.
