>>14260967 >implying motion sickness is normal Sorry anon, it's a defect. Most people can do just about anything without getting motion sick, driving a car fast is VERY low on the causing motion sickness scale, below roller coasters and fair rides, below mild aerobatics, below boating...

CHRIS EVANS CAN'T TALK AND DRIVE AT THE SAME TIME EVANS ALREADY CRASHED ONE OF THE SUPERCARS EVANS TRYING TO DITCH THE WHOLE THING ALL TOGETHER AND GET ONTO ANOTHER BBC SHOW THE NEW CREW KNOW NOTHING ABOUT CARS SABINE STILL CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH COMPETENTLY
Either british outlets have a thing against the BBC or this is screaming disaster
>>14265712 Dude, there have been write ups about it all over british tabloids/papers. It's going to be a shit show
The highlights were as follows:
-Evans crashed a brand new Jaguar tester on his first time around the famed Top Gear track.
-The show “has had to become a lot more PC following the Clarkson row,”
-Evans, called a “control freak,” is at odds with producers; he wants total ownership over the show like longtime producer Andy Wilman had but the BBC says there’s too much at stake for a show worth “more than £50 million a year” in merchandising, live events and other revenue sources.
-The BBC wants Evans to give up his radio work to focus on Top Gear, and Evans hasn’t been willing to do that.
-Evans is completely terrible at pre-recorded videos/talking or giving commentary while driving, which is all Top Gear is.
-The production team apparently “doesn’t know anything about cars,” leading the Top Gear magazine staff to be brought in to suggest ideas.
-Ratings/excitement around Coulthard, Schmitz and Harris as flat as fuck. Further troublesome because the appointments came after big names including Zoë Ball, Jodie Kidd and Suzi Perry had all been linked to the revamped show before they ruled themselves out, which is why they are panicking to get Sabine in
-Casting issues are tied back to Evans, who wants them because they’re relative unknowns outside the car world, and he wants to stay the star of the show.
-BBC is in full fucking panic mode over Jeremy and the gang's new show for Amazon. Insider source quoted as saying top BBC executives were "Completely freaking out" over the show and it's inevitable ratings rivalry with Evan's Top gear
>BBC panics after the first season of the new TGUK >Pulls most of the funding till they force everyone out and starts all over from scratch, like season 2 of TGUK scratch >Top Gear America explodes with funding from History channel/BBC >Top Gear America takes over alongside Top Gear Australia is the only two worth watching for the next ten years >Top Gear America brings Jay Leno to the show
It's too based to happen but it'd be neat if it did
What makes it even funnier is that a lot of the connections the show had to get cars were through Jeremy (and to a lesser extent, James and Richard)
So when the original trio left, all their industry connections followed them to Amazon. TGUK has had actual serious difficulty getting ahold of vehicles, while Jeremy and company while likely have a first episode that pits the 918, Mclaren, and La Ferrari up against each other
>>14265868 I had such high hopes for TGUS, changing the cast is the only thing that will fix that show
>>14265920 >those lols when they miss the date or have to retract it later
Clarkson has worked in the industry for literally 30+ years now so that makes sense. Plus he is such a big personality on the most watched TV it was easy for him to butter up execs from different companies
Also easy to imagine they'd also let him drive their cars on another show given the fact that it's still the original trio. Doesn't really matter what the name of the new show is, or the network if I am honest.
>>14266088 That graph would apply to pretty much anyone who left the BBC to work on Sky/ITV/BT even that brummie bellend got a massive pay rise when he left The One Show for some early morning turd of ITV1
>>14266240 Hammond and May did a lot more TV to make extra money, which the BBC have likely now lost out on. And we'll probably never see another documentary by Clarkson, even though he is clearly very good at those too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXusKM5uX0s
