>A fucking nightmare to work on
>Has to be imported if you want a true one
US one is no different
>If you crash you might die
Applies to every car
>You'll have to overpay out the ass to get a good one
Slow, ugly car with an overrated driving experience and all the typical 80's mechanical rot, romanticized to be a beautiful supercar by countries that never got half of the JDM sports cars when they came out
>romanticised to be a supercar
Who are you quoting
>overrated driving experience
They aren't magic like the anime but they're pretty fucking fun to drive. Driving a slow car fast which doesn't have a single safety feature and a high revving engine is pretty thrilling.
It really is a piece of shit. That's why these anime fags crack me up with their Chinese cartoons. It's purposely a shitty car for the plot, it doesn't mean it's absurdly a good car
>rwd is king
>losing to fwd
Lmao whatever helps you sleep
>not beaten to hell and back, a slow turd, and/or an autotragic
Good luck finding that
LMAO LITERALLY A MINIVAN HAS MORE TRACK HERITAGE THAN A STOCK AE86
Lmao the ae86 is a total piece of shit slower than a eg civic
Who's actually driven one? If you haven't, your opinion's a shit.
>confirmed for never having driven a RWD car
My stockish GTS drifts just fine on bone dry roads.
He's parking there to take a picture you douche nozzles
look at you cunts wanting a shitty jap bucket with a lawnmower engine in it
>lots of room for whores (or your mother)
>4L of straight 6 fury or 5L of V8 thunder
superior in every way
I have. RHD, GT-Apex trim.
In fact, I own it. It's a bucketload of fun. The people who haven't driven one just don't get it. Adding power gives diminishing returns, a lot of the enjoyment is found in winding the little engine out to nearly 8k. They start singing at 4k and scream all the way out to redline.
You did not specifically mention it wasn't a slow car. I am implying that because it is a slow car it is not worth the considerable anime fueled hype.
However I admit I have never driven one. So I am holding an opinion based on testimonials of others, which is never a good idea. I concede, you own one and drive it, you know more than me about it.
Exactly. And if you continue to read my post I go on to say that because of this I concede. I even go as far to say that since anon owns one and I do not, he would know more than me about it.
You act like you've never seen someone admit when they are wrong on /o/.
It's fast enough for what it needs to be. 8ish seconds to 60 is enough to get you up to speed, keep it at speed and slide it around turns at speed. That's the appeal.
As another owner, you can't really have much more fun without getting yourself into legal and potentially life threatening problems on public roads. V8s, I6s are entertaining but the two experiences are incomparable. The Miata is basically the same idea as the AE86, but more forgiving and modern. AE86 has no assistive tech beyond optional power steering.
Drive one. See what happens. Guarantee you'll have a good time.
