Hey /o/, I usually browse other boards but these last month's I've been interested in the threads that surge here. I've been wondering, I have 9k saved up, I really want to get a good looking car for that price. I would like it to be fast enough but not a super car. I'd be great if it was very reliable. I take good care of my things and my car won't be any different. Some background info, I'm a college student living with family so I don't pay rent, just bills. Please do help me pick something nice.
Narrow it down a bit more for us anon
Manual/automatic? (pls lrn stick its ez)
Sedan/coupe/hatch/truck?
Cold/warm climate?
RWD/AWD/FWD?
80's/90's/00's? (don't buy new ever)
Oh whoops I should have been much more accurate.
Manual of course
RWD
A newer car would help 00 -14

California climate
Coupe, hatchback or sedan in that order
Any color

Everyone loves a Miata anon, except the insecure people who haven't driven one. See if you can find a 1994-1997 MX-5. Don't be turned off by the low horsepower. That's easily fixed with a 9k budget and they're extremely light.

Why doesn't Winnie the Pooh have a dick?
>>14214277
Looks really well, any more suggestions? I'd like something with a bit space in the back for the occasional person but still with 2 doors pls
>>14214287
He's anon

>1994-1997

OP get the NB; it's a direct upgrade over the
NA and you'll still have 3-5k to play around with afterwards.

Not contributing to this thread until I see some Pooh dick.

If you're willing to go AWD, a Mazdaspeed6 would be good for that price range. I got mine with 68k on
the body and 35k on the motor for $7500. It's comfy af, decent mileage, quick, and it's easy as fuck to get it up to 500 hp with $2k worth of parts and a good tune

350z or g35 coupe.
look sexy
rwd
v6
reliable
literally the perfect cars under $10k.

RX-8? Made from 2003-2012, though I don't know a ton about them. Apparently rotary engines need a fair bit of maintenance but you said you'd take care of your car.
More practical than a Miata.
>>14214334
>finding one for under 10k
>in this day and age
>that hasn't been molested to shit both aesthetically and mechanically by boiracer swaggots
Good luck with that. Maybe he can find a sedan in old-man-green or beige, but he's not finding a V6 coupe in decent shape, not for under 10k.
Read the sticky, faggot
>>14214347
It's not hard at all. You can get a nice 6 speed 05-06 g35 coupe with 100k miles for 10k. I just bought my 03 6mt (pic related) for 6.3k in august.
>>14214374
>G35
>nice
I wish I was 17 and poor with no taste.
>>14214392
How can you say this doesn't look good?
>>14214426
It's like a hot girl, but with down syndrome. Something just doesn't sit right with me.
Wow that infinity looks very very sexy. Sporty and fancy on black. Like a car wearing a suit with running shoes. Looks great m8

>Can't even come up with a reson for why it looks bad

Here's a recent pic of mine,
>>14214539
ok yes, lets compare a brand new ~$25k sports car to a ~$8k 10 year old luxury sports coupe.
>>14214547
>says it looks retarded
>not a reason
OK faggot...
Nice shithole home lol
>>14214565
Oh I just posted to give an idea of what I like :(
>>14214565
>luxury sports coupe
Hahahahaha is this what G35 owners actually believe?
>b-but it says Infiniti
>th-that means l-luxury
>r-right guys?
>>14214612
Give op a better car then, faggot.
I like the RX-8. I just researched them and seem more difficult to care for but I can
>>14214617
[anything]
>>14214624
Enjoy.
Reminder to tell you're insurance company you wanted the practicality of a sedan, which you could technically call an RX-8 since it actually has 4 doors. They'll think you're less of a sportsfag.
>>14214617
a used 3 series would be a better choice, it's far less likely to have been ruined by a boiracer and more likely to have been maintained by qualified technicians
not to mention a proper inline 6, not some choked out horsey sounding piece of shit V6
>>14214664
>bmw
>not ruined by "supreme gentlemen" drivers
>bmw inline 6
>relible
KEK
Most cars I like are all fucked up by wanna be racers who redded the car to shit.
Give the Bimmer E36 a look, OP.
>>14214671
>riced to shit
>driver stigma
>same thing
If you're car has a stigma, who cares because fuck what other people think. But if the previous owner turned it into his "ruin a car" project than it's going to actually effect you.
>>14214194
you could probably find a shitty s2000 for that price, easy to work on, and parts are somewhat cheap.
>>14214339
Why is an RX8 more practical? Also I really doubt you can find an RX8 for under 9k that isn't going to need work put in immediately after. Don't get me wrong, I love rotaries, but probably not for a daily driver. Maybe it could work in CA though, idk.

4 seats, 4 doors, bigger trunk
