I was driving my mom's Grand Cherokee the other day. I think she still has the original tires on the car after 60k miles. They aren't as bad as those in the pic, but there is barely any depth left on the treads.

I drove it to the airport last night and it started raining on the way home. I was hydroplaning in like 1/4" deep water while doing 65mph on I-95. Sketchy as fuck.

I'm going to buy her new tires real soon, I just need to find the time to take it somewhere to have them changed. I didn't realize how bad they were until last night.

What you should do with those tires is put them back on your car and see what the max speed of your car is. With less tread(spinning-weight), they say it can add up to 20mph to the top speed of a car, you should really try it OP. Make sure you do this on an empty road

not everyone drives the same amount of miles and the same way with the same tires. i go through two/three/sometimes four sets of tires annually with the tread wear mostly even (unlike stancefags who use only 1/2th of the tire) from spending tens of thousands of miles each year on the touge, and i don't even do any drifting/burnouts
