Hey /o/, what up?
Muh parents are digging to buy a medium size peek-up truck mostly for cruisin on tarmac for several hours (road trips) + Driving in dirt or occasional mud without us or the truck falling apart.
Looking between new (VW Amarok, Toyopet Hilux, chevy S10 (holden Colorado in Australia( triple parenthesis lel overkill)) and Ferd Ranger) Also looking at older models of vehicles mentioned before
+ Any info you may got about what to look for on used ones and new ones too, will be really helpful

[Pic unrelated]

Thanks beforehand!
>>
colorado diesel is the best one
>>
just buy a 1/2 ton, those tiny trucks look goofy as fuck and due to the weight are completely shit in mud/snow/ice. they also offer practically zero fuel savings over a modern 1/2 ton
>>
Triton

>american pickups in australia

Colorado has nothing to do with an S10... Just sayan
>>
>>14212170
move to a non shit country then
>>
>>14212197
No thanks, I'd prefer to live in a country not limited to domestic offerings.
>>
>>14212105
If you're Australian, Isuzu D-Max if late model. Otherwise, look for a pre 2009 3.2L 4M41 powered Triton. Avoid the later 2.5 4D56 Tritons.

Nissan don't has anything but shitty small vehicles in here

>>14212107

Looks kewl, anyway the only engine avaible in here is the 2.8 l duratec np

>>14212158

Lel the only 1/2 ton avaible in argentina is da dodge ram, but that's wayy outta my price range

>>14212189

It's actually the same vehicle different badge. Just like the dacia sandero or dacia duster, down here we call it Renault sandero or Renault duster. Holden is a GMC sub-brand, so vehicles like the holden meriva are straitt called Chevrolet meriva, and so on and so forth

>>14212242
Unfortunately no isuzu or nissan pick ups in argentina (bummer)
>>

>It's actually the same vehicle different badge.
It isn't. Holden Colorados (and the Rodeos that preceded them) have always been based on Isuzu pickups, and never on S10 Chevrolets. These days however, the Colorado has superseded the S10 in the S10's domestic market.

Bummer, then Colorado it is.
>>

>colorado diesel
Is really fucking expensive. Like you could be into a v8 4wd 1/2ton Silverado for cheaper.

Also 1/4tons are garbage m8, less tow/haul, less interior space, less bed space, and moderate at best fuel savings over a 1/2ton

>Nissan don't has anything but shitty small vehicles in here

The triton is a mitsubishi
>Argentina
I'd just go with the Hilux since they build them locally
>>
>>14212426
Guess so, though they're really fucking expensive here, bcos most big farm owners fags buy them so it has kind of a "farm/luxury-ish tax"
