And I'm already looking at new BMWs, I'm currently driving a Saab 9-5 Automatic and I hate it, there's mountains of turbo lag, the gearbox is terrible and I'm getting awful fuel economy.
So I'm looking at old BMWs again, what does /o/ think of this E36 328Ci?

MOT history is okay, not great. Seems to have a continuing problem with roll bars

Only one fail in the last 6 years, but it was pretty bad. Similar problems my E46 failed on actually. It was fixed in a day though, which means he paid through the ass, either for a shit ton of work, or for a bribe to get it though.

A US$1000 E36 with no service records is going to be a bad time. Buying a convertible with a busted roof is also risky.
If you hate your Saab, sell the Saab and then use that money to find a BMW with as much service history documented as possible.
Also, E36s are getting to be old as fuck. The interior is nowhere near as nice as the E46, there are lots of rattles and hard plastics galore. Don't expect the same level of quality as your E46, as the E36 is nowhere near as nice.

It's as laughable when some one de-badges their car because it shows off how inferior it is. (i.e) when some one de-badges their 328i because its not a 335i

My gli had rear body damage fixed before i bought it and the PO put a red and black vw badge and didn't replace the gli emblem. I was so embarassed driving around until i got the proper badge. Still havent grabbed the model emblem though.

Why would you get E36 if you had E46?
The E36 is shit if you compare it to E46..
Go get E46 again.
