I know the TFTF is normally looked down upon, because a lot of non car people see it and think they're Poor Walker in his 10 second poopra. But is it that bad? I've never watched it and kinda wanna watch some car porn.
You might as well, they aren't masterpieces but they are some fun mindless action.
I honestly thought it peaked at five though, it becomes less about cars and more about the action in the later movies however.
>the shitty love stories.
You mean examining Hunt's charming demeanor contrasted with his inability to hold a meaningful relationship? The story wasn't about driving exclusively, it was about Hunt and Lauda, they did things outside the track. The only con to that movie was the historical inaccuracies Ron Howard cut to make Hunt and Lauda's rivalry seem a bit more extreme.
We had this thread fucking yesterday, but:
>The Fast and the Furious series
>The Mad Max series
>Gone in 60 Seconds
F&F 1-3 are all good. After that it goes to shit. You're meant to watch it as a bro comedy not an action movie. The cars are sweet in that nostalgic kind of way but ultimately it's just to get you into the mood to go for a drive or race or even work on your own car.
Fastest (RIP Sic)
Also the 2006, 2007, and 2008 Formula 1 season reviews are great. The best seasons of the V8 era.
I die a little inside knowing I will never get to have a career racing bikes from the 80s to the 2000s. You should too guys.
This movie is Fucking fantastic and no one ever talk abouts it. It's basically the original drive but with actual car chases and action scenes. A really really good watch, would recommend to anyone.
what the fuck did you just fucking say about me you little bitch
That movie is one of the most surprisingly okay films I've seen. There's a large amount of racing and it's all very well choreographed and entertaining. You just have to suffer through the story.
Do you know why fast and the furious 6 is afraid of fast and the furious 7?
Because fast and the furious 7 fast and the furious 8 fast and the furious 9.
I highly recommend watching all of them. Vin Gasman jumped a car into a helicopter, and attached a bag of grenades to said helicopter out of his window while freefalling. then Dwayne "The Stone" Johnson proceeded to shoot that clusterfuck and helicopter is kill.
The Gumball Rally
>original versions of course

I had the same reaction when people were raving about rhe SPECTRE car chase which is just tandem cobblestone drifting for 5 minutes. Good movie otherwise. Goat daniel craig era bond girl too.
John Wick had ten minutes of good car chases/combat/driving, and OP didn't ask for movies about cars, he asked for /o/ approved movies. It's a good movie that happens to have some great car scenes.
There is simply no racing film which matches it IMHO
Starts off slow for first 20 minutes, but it sets the scene nicely and gets you tensed up. Everything afterwards is pure, unadulterated auto pornography, all shot beautifully. Feautures fantastic 70's racecars including the Porsche 917, Lola T70 and Ferarri 512.
>mfw every time someone recommends bullitt as a good car film in these thread
