Yea he told me that, others have told me that. I admit to not knowing a lot about 1960s Le-mans prototypes but i don't care about it being shit or even winning for that matter.

My original comment was about Ford making another All-American race car for the highest racing class in Le-mans not so much it being perfect or even a winner.

If America entered Rally (another favorite motor-sport of mine besides Endurance Racing) id be one happy fucker. I don't necessarily care if they win (its great if they do) i just want America to get engaged in more international motor-sports.

The GT-R LMP1 Nismo was a complete failure but Nissan (japan in general) is trying. They've only ever won once with a all-japanese-car (Mazda 787B) and for some that was enough. but Nissan is still trying as well as toyota.

If America could simply get involved more like they give a damn that'd be nice.

Also the new GT isn't really canadian. if anything its European as the designer is Scottish. (i'm not sure which country the engine or transmission belongs to)

The only hand Canada had in it is assembly sadly.The Challenger/charger is also built in Canada but they aren't Canadian cars. Same goes for Crown-Vics Or japanese cars like the Civic built in the US.

Don't know if that's how it goes but that seems to make sense since some people barely considered it American less known Canadian.

My guess is Multimatics did most of the engineering on the GT themselves. That's really their wheelhouse, not Ford's. Ford would be responsible for the engine mostly.
