Found this on craiglist for 3500$ and 130k mikes, what /o/ has to say about this car?

>buy car
>unfuck it
>turn around and sell to weeb enthusiast for 10k
Mod it into a Dagumi Trueno, sell it for over 12000

Damn, seller doesn't know about the drift tax/anime tax. Buy it and drive the hell out of it.
If that's an SR5 to GTS conversion, be careful as fuck and bring him down to around $3k if you can. They can be pretty shit. If it's a true GTS (AE88 on the VIN), buy it.
It looks rough. Likely seen hard driving and/or track time, so you'll be faced with a bunch of repairs in a short time. What do you want out of it?

poor paint, riveted on rear over fenders to fit wide ass tires. This thing has been drifted no questions asked. Get the vin and run a vin check. If its salvage title dont pay over 2500 IMO cause it might be fucked. Test drive it for at least 2 miles check odo works, no overheats, let it get to normal operating temp and see how it drives. Also like another anon said is it a SR5-GTS or a true GTS? And if so, ask the owner politely if you can do a quick burnout to see if the LSD still locks up good.

like 90% of GTS's didnt come with LSD.
It was a factory option that most people didnt choose.
If it's UDSM but the VIN doesn't have AE88 on it, don't bother.

why?

AE88 is GTS
AE86 is SR5
SR5 Came with Drum brakes in the rear, chances are if it a conversion they didnt swap this.
CHeck vin and if it is an SR5 look to see if it is drums in the rear.

USDM model have the following VIN:
DX - JT2AE85
SR5 - JT2AE86
GTS - JT2AE88
Only the GT-S has dual cam, so if it's not an AE88, it got an engine conversion and will likely have a weaker transmission and definitely an open dif.
