fwd has a couple issues. fwd will tend to understeer in corners. if you do break traction on open diff it gets sketchy with which wheel will get power. lsd you can get away with powering through corners and it feels fast but in practice rwd in the hands of an equally skilled driver will come out going alot faster and getting the better time.

In Florida, pretty much. I would much rather drive RWD, as there is no downside in Florida as everything is flat, straight, and no snow or road salt. In other areas where it snows, FWD may have some advantage. Otherwise, FWD is a good commuter car and can get good MPGs because of less weight from the drive train.
