Outside of Snek, is Dodge any good?
I'm thinking about getting a challenger with a v8 and the poopoo pack, but I'm not sure if they're reliable or worth it. Ideally I'd just like it to have a comfy cruiser that I can occasionally hoon down some backroads.
its the only modern muscle car that looks like a muscle car
dont worry he's just upset he got a dodge shart
>implying classic 60-80's muscle cars are any better
Whoever buys a stock new muscle car for handling is an idiot of the highest displacement
He never mentioned turning. He mentioned having a comfy car and being able to go phast. I love the shit out of Subaru, but of all things I would describe it as, comfortable is not one of them. It's alright, but it's nothing special. And yes, I have driven a 2015 WRX. Not an STi, but I assume that would be even more uncomfortable.
Goddamn i hate bench racer JDM fuckheads.
and ive owned JDM cars from 80-90's i know what their like
>limited overpriced aftermarket
2014 Dodge charger RT awd. Great car on the highway. Quiet and comfortable. Would buy another one in a heartbeat
Most people like the taste of junk food, that's how it's designed. Pretending to not like it doesn't make you look sophisticated it makes you look like an edgy teenager.
Like your still in that phase where you pretend to not like some movies because "they're for kids".
When the subject of Muscle cars comes up all people care about is how fast it can go around a corner.
When i mention Caddy being faster than (insert other luxury brand here) people try to bring up everything but cornering.
there is a difference between junk food and fast food
I like fast food, not junk food
>the challenger not being able to turn is not a feel, its a fact
>this was him trying to be clever
>implying people caring or not about me somehow makes the challenger able to turn
nice mental gimnastics
>not making a good hamburger with organic and non-processed ingredients
plebeian as fuck
no one cares about it's laptimes. if the base 3 series is that fast that's nice for bmw, i doubt any base 3 series owners give a shit either.
so why do you care about the laptimes of anything other than the bus you ride?
no one is arguing about laptimes, that was something I mentioned to back up my statement about the new challenger
the challenger is pigfat cant turn, this is a fact
hasn't won any production categories*
It doesn't have to. Nobody with any idea what a Challenger is gets one for its handling. That's not what it does. If you want to corner all day get what does that best. If you want to drive around in the mud get that car. If you want to go fast then get a car that goes fast.
Repeating that "can't turn" shit is like complaining about how the frosting on you steak isn't sweet enough.
why should I care if other people think about me?
OP wants a backroads car, therefore he wants a car that can turn, the challenger cant
even if it turned like a caterham it wouldn't matter.
all it needs to do is look, sound and burn rubber like a challenger.
if they wanted to improve it reliability would be the place to start, not appealing to weeboo thickos like you by making it """"turn""""
>mustang and camaro turn better and are doing much better in sales because they can turn
>"appealing to a bigger customer base does not matter"
>implying ford and chebby haven't outsold chrysler since forever
>implying it has anything to do with handling
>implying anyone has ever said "i like handling, i should really get a mustang"
god damn.... you are one dumb fuck
>we dont sell many cars
>I have an idea, instead of appealing to a bigger customer base to boost sales up, lets make mustang and camaro competitor but worse
and you are calling me dumb
>cross shopping the big 3 murrkan muscle
>mhmm, i cant see out the camaro, no thanks
>mhmm, the challenger is good
>mhmm, the mustang is also good but it handles much better than the challenger, ill go mustang
HUUR FUCKING DUUR
now try say handling doesnt matter. why would you buy a piece of shit cant turn muscle car when you can buy a piece of shit can turn muscle car?
Co-worker owns one, and he loves talking about it. He drags it and has drag tires for when it takes it to the track.
Its a great DD because the good mileage it gets. So yeah OP, if you want a solid muskle car get it.
>DAT honeybee v8
>dat 4 cylinder mode for city driving
i'm a security guard. my company's patrol fleet is made up of various dodges.
like avengers and whatever. i dunno even know models or years. i guess they're all between 2005-2012.
all i know is they're all completely awful. every one is riddled with mechanical issues. everything is falling apart.
and they're so uncomfortable too.
it's great and real fun to drive
only real issues with it are
>mopar electrical work
>driving in the snow
If you're going to get one and you live somewhere where there is a winter, be sure to budget in snowtires or you're going to have trouble getting out of your driveway with 3 inches of snow on the ground
When you said boxer I just assumed sti. MFW they pulled this up is a picture of the car. I was also wondering how a car would randomly flip at that speed/angle turns out it was a shitter in an suv for no real reason.
>and you live somewhere where there is a winter, be sure to budget in snowtires or you're going to have trouble getting out of your driveway with 3 inches of snow on the ground
>if you live somewhere where there is a winter, be sure to budget in snowtires or you're going to have trouble getting out of your driveway with 3 inches of snow on the ground
>I applied the brakes softly in an effort to keep the back end from sliding out, but, combined with a bump and rough switch in surface texture from concrete to asphalt, I lost traction. I began sliding to the left, the car oversteering, rotating counter-clockwise, over the center marker. I counter-steered, turning the steering wheel all the way to the right, but kept sliding to the left into the turnout. It was at this moment I knew, I had fucked up.
Naw nigger, you fucked up and didn't straight line brake when you exited the tunnel and realized you messed up. You also were at a speed where you couldn't slowdown if there were hazards outside of the tunnel.
Also why the fuck are you speeding in an suv?
>In 2010 Utah was 62.1% Mormon (members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). Salt Lake County, was 51.4% LDS. The county with the lowest percentage of LDS was Grand County at 26.5%. The county with the highest percentage of LDS was Morgan County at 86.1%
Utah is literally mostly Mormon and they don't let you drink caffeine or alcohol, most Americans would consider that odd, as such would label them as anti "fun"
Disregard faggot bench racers. I've owned and daily driven my R/T Challenger for three years. It is the comfiest cruiser in the world, I swear to god. You will not find a better highway car on Earth for the price. The Hemi is a great engine and doesn't have problems. The only advice I can give you is to avoid the new automatic until they sort out its issues. The old five speed is good, it's what I have (since my left knee is fucked and I can't kick the clutch), and I've never had an issue.
Test drive one. It will sell itself to you.
My only issue with the Hellcat is they give it a fucking Cuda AAR hood. They should have just made it look like a modern T/A challenger or make the rest of it look like a Cuda.
Meme shit retardation. Organic is not healthier and is undetectable by taste in blind studies.
Buying "Organic" just mean buying animals that suffered though disease instead of getting proper care, because you can't give medicine to organic livestock.
Ford and Chevy outselling Dodge has to do with Dodge's inferior dealer network, shittier quality, and worse economy, way more than it has to do with benchracing (though it can't be denied that benchracing is a factor for many musclecar owners).
i had a srt8 befor it got wrecked, it was my first car.
most fun in a car i ever had, sure it was heavy and did not corner as well as other cars in its price range, but god damn when u floor it going around a corner feeling the fat ass slide out on you.
so much fun.
plus i just loved the way it looked, tell this day when i see a random challenger it brings a smile to my face.
mechanically nothing ever went wrong with it, i had it for 2 and a half years and i was pretty hard on it.
I've owned several of their trucks. started in the 80's. had a ramcharger, w250 pickup, Dakota, a couple caravans. I currently own a 09 ram R/T and a 13 ram 1500. Not a single problem with any Dodge trucks I've ever owned. the older ones made it into the 200-300K mile range easy. sold the Dakota at 100K for a chevy, that was a mistake. My R/T has 76K. and my 13 has 36k
Yes, the cars were actually talking to each other.
Go for it op, but get a 15-16 for the redesigned interior. Pre-15 models had straight up truck interiors
>Implying mustangs don't have the best back seats
no one is saying the Camaro's is better mongoloid
Everyone always talks about the leg room, but what about the lack of head room in the back? I sat in the back of a 2015 mustang with my fucking head tilted sideways for an hour and a half and when we hit bumps I hit my head on the rear windshield.
