Mazda is literally the exception to the rule. Even the most base model Mazda3 handles better than a top-trim North American car, I shit you not. There is basically one thing Mazda has done well over their entire lifespan, and that is to produce a car that handles far better than it has a right to. It goes into every single one of their vehicles, even the boxy mallcrawler SUVs. Drive one of them, and compare it to an Escape/CRV/RAV4/etc.

There is a noticeable difference.
