Mine has a throttle lock, which can work as a cruise control. Don't really miss power on the highway, it can cruise at 140km/h with ease.
But yeah, for pure highway touring the 1200 is better, but I didn't buy mine for highway touring.

Yeah this reminds me when I was new to riding. Back then I really took random roads since I didnt know any.
I would love to being able to just leave here and end up where ever it will take me. But then theres the paperwork coming up like visas and that always destroys my vision of being free and everything.

I think I know exactly how you feel. I can't put it to words very well, but I also dislike the lifestyle of just consuming as much as possible like most of the people do and stuff like that, I'm starting to get sick of it.
I like the cases. I only them seriously a few times yet yet, the front end of the bike starts to get really wobbly when I put all the cases on the back, but that's more a thing of the bike I think.
I don't have any troubles with them opening to the side. There are these rubber bands inside that hold the stuff in the case at their place, so it's not too much of a hassle if I need to get something out of the side cases while they are mounted.

Yes, maybe it's a bit illusory. I just read a few paragraphs about what he wrote on the homepage and I can agree with many of that stuff though, especially with the topic about money and minimalism.
When I look at the people around me it always surprises me how much money they spend compared to me. Granted, I don't really have much and live off a few hundred euros per year, but like that I learned with spending as little as needed for the stuff I need, which is good.

Welp, I realized that I'm also missing my chain guard too on my cbr250. It doesn't seem like the kind of part that'd get damaged easily so I'm trying to figure out why the previous owner took it off in addition to the undercowl. Undercowl made sense, make oilchanges easy.

Why the chain guard though? Easier to lube? How much more messy is this really going to make riding my bike?
