US accuses Fiat Chrysler of using 'defeat devices'
>The US government is suing car firm Fiat Chrysler, alleging the firm sold vehicles with "defeat devices" that helped them pass emissions tests.
Where were you when Chrysler fucking died?
>>17257234
Don't own anything they make and never have. Wouldn't bother me if they gone.
>>17257234
Chrysler has been making the shittiest cars around for the last decade... I'm surprised they've lasted this long desu
Any spanish mechanics on o/ tonight?
I need this translated:
My mechanic it referring to a part of the wheel/suspension as "la bota" my guess it's attached to the control arm? Can anyone help me?
"La bota de la llanta del lado derecho"
>>17257141
>mexican mechanic
esa es tu problema, vato
>>17257141
He's talking about the cv axle boot, more than likely it is torn and needs replacing but further diagnosis should be done to determine if the axle/bearings need replacing or just the boot because it is torn and leaking grease
>>17257141
He's reffering probably to the cv axle boot on the right side. It's good to learn more than 1 langauge amigo
I live in Minnesota and I need a new car. My needs...
>Small, can easily park in compact spots
>Daily Driver for a 1-car couple (we can afford 2 cars, just dont need it because we live in a city and carpool).
>$25-35k new or slightly used.
>Fast enough to go 0-60 in under 7 seconds.
The orange 228i is so fucking sexy, and I know I will have a lot of fun with a RWD car, but my brain tells me I should get a VW GTI because it's more practical for a single-car household with 4 doors and it's hatch.
What to do?
Wat do?
I'd get the gti
>not 7 series
that would be enough to put me off, go big or go home, no cuck tier 2 series
get a 135i and save up the rest for repairs and mods
Are you a sunroof or moonroof guy?
>>17257044
Plain roof fucking stop cutting up my roof to put glass in it you pieces of fucking shit
>>17257050
Calm down anon wtf is your problem kek!!
>>17257044

i drive all day for work, 100 - 150 miles a day, and my ankles are killing me. its both highway and city driving and my feet are toast.
my clutch foot is getting chewed up in city driving, and my gas foot is constantly sore.
should i just get a brace or something, or should i get a car with a AT?
shit sucks br/o/s
>>17256914
it's your DD, not a weekend car, so just get an autotragic one anyway. Time to stop falling for /o/ meme
You need to change your seating position m8
>not using cruise control
>150 miles is a lot
know how i know you're an autist?
Bought a 2006 Crown Vic. Assuming I don't go broke repairing it, what are some good modifications/additions to make? Preferably something that actually improves the car's performance, but something like a partition is acceptable too. Working with an $800 ish range
If it isn't a police interceptor you'll be wasting your time
>>17256537
keep it stock faggot.
>>17256558
It's an interceptor
I'll be moving for japan for work in a few months. I'll be living there for a year and might need a car while there. I was thinking kei car because they're dirt cheap, good mpg, and small. I'm not interested in performance in any way as this would obviously be an A to B vehicle.
At the same time I think most of them are ugly as fuck and I wouldnt want to drive them. I thought the Suzuki Jimny was something i'd be willing to drive. Anyone have any experience/knowledge of this or any comparable kei car?
Shameful bump
Jimny/samurai are legendary off-road.
That being said you'll need to look into Japanese inspection laws, I heard they were rough
My 3 favourite kei cars are
>Honda Beat
>Suzuki Cappuccino
>Daihatsu Copen
But if I were you, I'd try looking for something quite new-ish, because people in Japan like to keep new cars for not very long lengths of time, so the used market for something 3-4 years old has quite a lot of options
I hope this has helped
How is this not your dream car?
Practical
Very fast
Inconspicuous
Can take your family & dog on the race track
577 HP station wagon

I want one but they are expensive as fuck. I need to be realistic, I only dream about cars that I know I'll be able to afford.
>>17256088
Nice because it's a wagon but there's way more power potential with the CTS-V.
Does /o/ like Chrysler Lebarons?
She's changing her name from Kitty to Karen

I'm planning on driving Uber and Lyft, and I'd like to get dashcam that will record both me and the passengers while I drive to protect myself from false accusations of assault/rape/whatever and have evidence if someone decides to assault me. I'd like it to be discreet (some people may not be comfortable being recorded), record HD video and have a good storage capacity. If it also records the road with a front facing camera, that'd be a bonus, but I'm mainly concerned on recording myself and the passengers. Any good suggestions?
miata or 3k civic
buy 2 cameras?
>>17255936
Set it up with a socket plug in your fusebox so your camera turns on whenever you turn the engine on
also this >>17255948
Do women drivers have the right of way?
>>17255666
RIGHT OF WAY TO MY DICK
>>17255666
Did they died
>made a right turn onto a street with a middle turning lane
>coming up the street, immediately get cut off by a dumb white girl in a mercedes SUV barreling towards me turning from the middle turn lane to the right
>mfw 8 times out of 10 when someone on the road fucks up and almost hits me, it's a woman
We need to end the meme that women are able drivers
What sort of car would this be?
>>17255562
Evo X.
>>17255562
Looks like coils for a CRX

Did Mazda ever make a high revving 4 cylinder similar to Hondas B16/b18 and Nissan sr16/20ve?
>>17255187
i dont think so
honda was always the king of the tiny little 4bangers (at least, within the car realm)
>>17255200
but honda made the CBX
isnt it the king of 1 liter (tiny little) 6 cyl engines?
>>17255200
That's unfortunate gueas imy stuck with the mazda BP. But I disagree Toyota is where it's at with the 4age and the 3sge
