I live in Minnesota and I need a new car. My needs...
>Small, can easily park in compact spots
>Daily Driver for a 1-car couple (we can afford 2 cars, just dont need it because we live in a city and carpool).
>$25-35k new or slightly used.
>Fast enough to go 0-60 in under 7 seconds.
The orange 228i is so fucking sexy, and I know I will have a lot of fun with a RWD car, but my brain tells me I should get a VW GTI because it's more practical for a single-car household with 4 doors and it's hatch.
What to do?

i drive all day for work, 100 - 150 miles a day, and my ankles are killing me. its both highway and city driving and my feet are toast.
my clutch foot is getting chewed up in city driving, and my gas foot is constantly sore.

I'll be moving for japan for work in a few months. I'll be living there for a year and might need a car while there. I was thinking kei car because they're dirt cheap, good mpg, and small. I'm not interested in performance in any way as this would obviously be an A to B vehicle.
At the same time I think most of them are ugly as fuck and I wouldnt want to drive them. I thought the Suzuki Jimny was something i'd be willing to drive. Anyone have any experience/knowledge of this or any comparable kei car?

I'm planning on driving Uber and Lyft, and I'd like to get dashcam that will record both me and the passengers while I drive to protect myself from false accusations of assault/rape/whatever and have evidence if someone decides to assault me. I'd like it to be discreet (some people may not be comfortable being recorded), record HD video and have a good storage capacity. If it also records the road with a front facing camera, that'd be a bonus, but I'm mainly concerned on recording myself and the passengers. Any good suggestions?
