What does /o/ think of the Bricklin SV-1?
>>17278464
I wish more meme cars existed
its a ugly shit
>was meant to be powered by a rotary vee engine
>not just a simple wankel rotary, that would've made too much sense
I still don't fucking understand how this was supposed to work.
So it's official. The Dutch police is replacing the VW Touran with 2300 Mercedes B-classes (220d) and 600 Vito's, over a timespan of 7 years.
Opel (Vauxhall), BMW/MINI, Peugeot and Volkswagen also applied to deliver but scored lower.
Did they choose wisely?
>>17278459
wtf i love toothpastes now
>>17278459
>B220d
I'm assuming there are no car chases in NL.
>talks about fucking B class
>shows well equipped E class in OP
What's the coolest police fleet car and livery you know of?
I like the NZ Holden commodores, the cars look nice and the livery reminds me of the UK police and makes me feel like it's still a colony.
>>17278312
Whatever then Gendarme drive. Also Arab Sandnigger police states some times have cool rides.

here in Connecticut, some precincts, like Bridgeport, still have Buick Grand Nationals in their active fleets.
Hey gents. Just rebuilt my engine and tranny. 455 BBO and TH400, if curious. Anywho, can't seem to crank the motor over by hand, even in neutral, and didn't have this issue when both were separated, I could turn both by hand. The issue started after I mated the pack with a new torque converter. Could this just be because the splines aren't completely mated, even after torquing? Thinking back, there is still paint on the pilot nub as well, but would that really cause the engine not to be able to turn over, even WITH a cheater pipe?
>>17278129
Converter isn't completely seated in the trans OR the pilot hub is oversize and won't go into the crank. Either way you're going to have to pull the trans down.
>>17278273
Yeah I'm gonna take it back apart to look at it again, I hope it's not the pump and just improper seating. I doubt it's the pump since it wasn't giving me issues before. I don't think it'd be oversized, it popped into the back of the crank fairly easy. If it is oversized, it might be the paint still on it, causing excessive friction. Just a hunch though
>>17278273
I did notice that the bellhousing didn't want to perfectly mate up to the block though, I could see light through the surfaces, and torqued them a second time
can i get an honest opinion on the whole car-modding culture? is it stupid or is it a legitimate hobby?
It's for Mexicans and Asians
>Implying legitimate hobbies aren't mostly stupid
Modifying cars is expensive and doesn't raise the cars value any but the same can be said for putting a swimming pool in your back yard. Is that stupid? It depends on the joy of gives you.
Yes to both.
I'm begging....I know /o/ likes a challenge. Find me some rims that look even close to pic related in 5x115 and you win 100 internets!
Bola B10 close enough?
>>17277712
>5x115
What fucking dimensions are those
Do I smell a Fiero with an F40 body kit?
Should I jumjp on this /o?
It'd become my daily

5.0 swap it. Otherwise yes that's probably my second favorite Bronco gen. If it has a sunroof, it's gonna leak though.
>>17277600
seems a little pricey for what it is, especially since all the gauges don't work. Honestly I'd say you could get a Jeep XJ 4.0 that is just as capable for less money, but I like Jeeps so I'm biased.
>>17277629
why the fuck would you want to swap in a 302
I hit a kerb or something when parking a while back and it was fucking me off so decided to bite the bullet and have a go at paint work, what did you do to your car recently /o/? repair or customisation.
Fixed up.

Looks better
Post the how-to

So long shot.
Trying to figure out an issue with my IMRC/DSI system.
If there's another owner here how hard is it to turn the DSI lever by hand? Mine doesn't want to turn very easily and I'm wondering if it's overloading the IMRC motor.
Toyota needs to take this shit back to the drawing board.
progressive!
You just don't know yet that you actually LOVE it.
It will grow on you.

No thank you sir I have German taste.
What is /o/'s opinion on V6 "muscle" cars, I honestly think it doesn't live up to the classic muscle car tradition and or standard. But recently I've been considering buying a newer 5th-6th gen V6 Camaro over an older 5th gen SS with a V8, since they are cheaper, and are basically the same car minus the engine and horsepower.
The previous camaro rode on a shortened chassis borrowed from the Malibu. The current one rides on a 3 series beating Cadillac platform. The v6 is fast in the new car.
>>17276857
You'll get trashed forever for not buying the V8, even though the V6 is still plenty quick. Just don't ever, EVER put an exhaust on it.
>>17276875
>The previous camaro rode on a shortened chassis borrowed from the Malibu.
Malibu was FWD retard. It was a shortened Holden Commodore chassis.
Anyways, The V6 Camaro is fast and very acceptable if you get it with the 1LE package.
I'm going to be towing a car 150 miles with a car dolly, any advice on how to not fuck up towing something so far? I've never towed a car this far before, and to make matters worse the steering wheel lock is broken so the steering wheel won't lock into position, should I worry about it swaying back and forth while I'm towing it?
Stick it in neutral and drive it in forward
>>17276719
Is it automatic? Is it RWD or FWD? What wheels do you intend to put on the dolly?
>>17276719
make sure what ever you are towing isn't awd if you are using one of those types of trailers
can anyone tell me how to fix an alternator?
>>17276517
Buy a new one since they are so cheap and we don't do that anymore
>:^)
>>17276517
You can sometimes change the voltage regulators out. Otherwise you just have to get a new one.
Used to be alternator shops that could rebuild them but they way they are made now you can't really service them anymore.
>>17276517
Heh, I knew that engine compartment looked familiar...
re:alternator - replace it with re-manufactured one
Post your dream car /o
>tfw no Jeep Grand Wagoneer
Who the fuck is /o?
>>17276363
>tfw I'm a casual
Is the stereotype true? My experiences and videos watched point towards yes. Though it could be confirmation bias. What does /o/ think?
asian taxi drivers are SCARY
the average asian is ok tier. but the truck and taxi drivers keep the hell away
I have two American born Filipino friends and one is super shit at driving and the other is average at driving
>>17276289
Stereotypes have to come from somewhere. There's always a kernal of truth to it.
