I thought Subarus was Australian until my teens. Goddamn Crocodile Dundee commercials
>>17293512
I thought that until a few years ago. I told my dad a while back how I used to think they were Australian as a kid... He didn't believe me when I said they were Japanese.
Haven't seen one of these in a while.
Today my Twingo sperged out and only ran on 2 or 3 cylinders while going about 30km/h. At some point the engine just went off. I pulled to the right side of the road and waited a bit, now it's all fine again.
Guess I gotta change the spark plugs and or ignition coil. Approximately 50 bucks, got some new plugs laying around.

Mine was built 1999, bought it 5yrs ago and never had an actual accident with it. Last time i got something checked up the mechanic showed me that the base frame is corroded to the point where it can't be fixed.
I will eventually need a new car but the twingo was reliable af, i am thinking about getting a rwd car, any recommendations for a cheap one?
Pic unfortunately unrelated.
it's a good idea to not cheap out and just get a full set of new plugs and not just one or two

How can I remove salt stains?
I let my fucking sister use my other car for half of the winter because hers got side swiped and she removed the floor matts and caked the fucking drivers floorboard in salt.
I tried warm water and soap and a brush. No luck.
Also how the fuck did Mitsubishi think you are supposed to get dirt out from under the trunk release and gas cap release.
No vacuum on earth is strong enough to get salt out of there, I tried 3 different car wash's vacuums
>>17293105
For the first question, you're better off replacing the mats, they're not expensive.
For the second question, use a small brush or a damp towel.
fuck her in the car and use her vaginal juice to rinse the salt off

How much can you do on your own car?
I bought an old car, but all the mechanics are going to charge me out the ass for some jobs, that maybe I can do myself, and I was curious on what jobs do you guys need a mechanic for?
>pic related not my car, but one like it.
I'll do most anything myself. But I'm fortunate enough to have access to a garage at my age and I have a daily as well as a fun car.
>>17292749
A garage is the thing I'm missing currently, all I can do either in the street or on a unused parking lot. I'm currently looking for a house with a big enough garage to put a car lift.
>>17292727
Get yourself a tiny econobox to get your ass to work while your TA is under maintenance. Doing it yourself means taking longer because of fewer tools, less available time due to work and making more mistakes or taking longer to assess the situation than someone who does it day in day out. You need something to drive in the mean time.
Bollinger motors is an electric startup company from New York at is building the first electric pickup truck
It will be a very bare bones car, no screens, no unnecessary shit, a true enthusiasts car, it will be unvieled in the summer

Should I try some stop leak, or should I try to plug it with something else?
>>17292505
Where is it leaking?
>>17292505
>Should I try some stop leak
Fucking no.
press a new seal and get the fuck out
what kind of car/transmission and how bad is the leak?
one of the guys I used to work had a B16A2 swapped into his EL (6th gen civic with leather) and he had an oil leak at his shifter seal. He'd just top up the fluid every month instead of doing the seal.
How do I buy a car if I'm a NEET?
use the power of NEETbux
You don't, you leech.
Where does a shut in neckbeard need to drive to anyway?
You get a job for a few months and buy a shitbox.
/o/ I'm looking for a decent truck as a secondary vehicle. Can be kinda older as well,15 years or so.
Thing is, I'm not trying to own a land barge and look like a truck Brotard but I also don't want to look like a Mexican scrapping metal. I don't care about brands really. So fan boys need not apply.
If I had to choose one I like the Tacomas but they're taxed up the ass. I also don't want a shitty Ridgeline. Must be BOF and 4x4.
Any suggestions?

New Tacoma, you don't have options if your not going full size
Newer chevys are really nice thou
>>17292299
Chevys as in Silverado, Colorado and Canyon? Or.. Are you singling out a specific one.
>>17292280
your only bet is ford,
there is also a chevy truck tax which is BS because GM is literally garbage, but for mid 2000s their fullsized truck platform is best, only because ford was producing garbage all across thre board during these specific years
im thinking of a chevy taho or suburban (00-06) to avoid the truck tax
Should I?
Manual transmission, loaded options, M package, N55...
CARFAX shows two previous owners. Looks like the first guy serviced at BMW, but the second may have gone independent, as there's not really any records for him.
Maybe I can talk them down to $18k?

Also, does that look like the stock suspension? Just asking because I don't want someone's car that's been all fucked out with coilovers and whatnot.
Should I get a new/slightly used 2016/17 Camaro 2SS or a 2011/2012 Shelby GT500?
All warranties on the Shelby is gone.

Why haven't you bought yourself a dirt cheap Toyota Celsior yet, /o/?
>>17291844
Because Mercedes prevented me from buying anything that isn't 25 years old.
Because I'm too impatient to wait for shipping and can't be arsed to do any paperwork
why would I purposely buy a piece of shit?
I'm thinking about doing Deliveroo as I'm going to college soon I think it's 2 or 3 days a week, I'm gonna need a part time job alongside that.
I live in London.
Anyone got any experience working for deliveroo?
What would be a cheap, reliable moped/motorbike to use for the purpose of running about on for deliveries?
