FYI.
This is what a car should look like.

This is what a car should look like.

Yeah they should have made more of them so people could actually drive them then.
Anybody ever try these night-time sunglasses?
I've been using regular sunglasses the last few years but the thing is that I can't see as far and making out darker details can be difficult so I was looking at something like this as an alternative.
If you want the same effect. Get yellow tinted safety glasses for $5 at a store.
Yellow tint filters out blue. Blue strains the eye the most and taking out blue enhances contrast.
>not wearing moon shades
baka
Anyone have a brand or color that filters the blue/white glare from eBay LED bulbs?
Everyone in my area is installing them, especially trucks and jeeps. Oncoming traffic is like looking into a cluster of poorly aimed Surefire lights.
whats everyone's favourite from factory colours?
Mines got to be Volvo Polestar Blue
Toyota Spruce Mica

Plum Crazy purple.
Honorable mention to Midnight Purple.
I'm looking to get into learning how to weld, but I'm confused about the difference between 110v and 220v welders. Are 110v welders only for light welding work like quarter panels, and I'd need a 220v for welding bigger stuff like roll cages and frames?
>>17294187
Yes
>>17294187
>>17294197
No
Roll cages are typically .083-.125 (1/16-1/8 inch)
1/4" roll cages are shit in NASCAR where you get t-boned at 195mph.
Fames vary a lot.
Subframes on a unibody chassis are no problem.
If you're planning on extending a freightliner, its not gonna happen.
A '57 belair would not be an issue with a good 110v.
A good 110v will do 3/16".
Notice that I said "good".
A used (and functioning) miller from the pawn shop will always be better than a brand new unit from home depot or harbor fright.
Just looked at millers website, they have a 110v that will do 3/8"
>/o/ what are some things that your country thinks is utterly obscene when it comes to driving?
For example in Haiti it is looked down upon to obey traffic rules i.e. "You are considered a total bitch manlet for stopping at a red light in the Haitian culture"
>>17293900
>Haitian culture
They don't even have food.
>>17293916
Lmao!! You're are comedy gold!!
In Haitian culture you are also considered a bitch manlet for not cutting down all your trees to sell charcoal
I went to a Subaru dealership a few days ago trying to buy a new shitbox and I said I wanted a manual car. The guy trying to shill me went on to inform me that Manual means nothing these days and you can just safely go automatic with paddle shifting and that even racecarfags just use automatic these days while utilizing the paddles.
Is this true /o/? Is the manual stickshift meme dead and unnecessary?
>>17293711
She's right. Paddle shifters are better.
>>17293711
>Is this true /o/? Is the manual stickshift meme dead and unnecessary?
If you have to ask after a dealerjew tried to sway you, then manual is not for you.
>>17293711
now ask him what kind of automatic they sell
>CVT
Yeah go fuck yo'self mate.
Are these Soviet bikes overpriced for what they are? I was never interested in harleys or any fast bike but I really like the reliability and vintage look of these Urals
Is there a specific name for slow, utilitarian bikes like these?
These bikes are fucking shit.
Any jap-scrap you find rotting in a back alley will absolutely walk this crap.
Buy an old BMW or Guzzi if you want the I'm riding a tractor feel.
>Is there a specific name for slow, utilitarian bikes like these?
Heaps of shit. It's mostly a cult following. It's not nearly as reliable as it looks, and even the 2WD doesn't help because it's just too heavy and slow to get uphill in the dirt especially with a passenger or lots of cargo. Do yourself a favor and get an actual adventure bike if you want to go on offroad trips.
Anything the Soviets ever made has only novelty value. Basically anything is better than commie crap. I had a Lada Samara once. Never again.
Lada Niva could be an exception of sort but something like Suzuki Samurai is still a lot better.
Is this stuff really that bad?
>>17293063
It'll make your ass bigger
>>17293063
It's horrible. Just learn to change your fucking tire you millennial shit.
>>17293063
It works only in some circumstances. It makes a huge mess when replacing the tire. It never fully hardens. You don't need the whole bottle, contrary to (((their))) instructions.
You're infinitely better off carrying a jack, torque wrench and spare tire around.
only the RWD ones (240, 740, 940) and only if they've been LS swapped
>>17292962
thanks

Checked with the camp site, they have a small restaurant on site that serves breakfast and dinner; we will just find lunch out around the touge.
I made sure that they would have space for our group (about 15) all three days. They have over six acres of land, so it wouldn't have been an issue anyways, but I wanted to make sure.
If you are a cuck and don't want to bring a tent and camp, there are cabins you can rent, but that's an independent thing and you need to make a reservation on your own.
They also have plenty of space for baikus

Am I really buying a money pit if I purchase a used German car like an Audi, or VW?
I'm hunting for a manual car under 5k. I seriously love the interior and exterior looks of the Jetta and the A4.
I found a 6 speed Jetta V6 engine leather interior sunroof with 125k miles, for $4500. Mileage too high?
No love for German cars?
>>17292761
They are fine. You can even work on them relatively troublefree, even more on the A4.
>>17292814
You're saying go for the A4 over the Jetta if possible? What makes Audi more troublefree?
>Cracked rims
>Is this fixable or just buy a new set of the same rim?
Cracked and broken wheels need to be removed and recycled immediately. Bent can be forced back into shape by a professional
retarded question
>having about 200 miles on my 86
>yes, boxer engine
>toyota recommends using fucking thin 0w-20 oil for mpg reason
Could I use something like 5w-30 for better wear protection, or just stop being a autist and follow the manual
Planning to use Pennzoil ultra platinum btw
Follow the manual. Thicker oil will result is even more power loss to your pathetic car.
>>17292638
When the manual says something do that. There is nobody who knows the car better than the engineers that designed and built it, and anyone that pretends otherwise is a fucking fool who should be used as a drift chain for those super sized dump trucks.
The engine is designed to run with 0w-20. Use what the manufacturer says.
Is it just me or are the today's cars only about muh family safety, shitton of driving aids, self driving and not about having fun while driving?
>>17292494
>having fun while driving
To most people, driving is nothing but a chore. They don't see how anyone could enjoy it.
So take them out
>>17292494
>driving aids
hehe
Will Japan ever make a comeback?
Is there still hope?
Already did bruh.
