So after replacing my thermostat today, I discovered that my car had in fact been overheating regularly as I suspected. There was a distinct burning smell and I could always feel tremendous amounts of heat pouring in through the vents even though I had the fan off. My thermometer gauge would also creep up to H occasionally before suddenly dropping back to middle.
None of this happens anymore after a good flush and thermostat replacement.
my question is: is it possible I caused any damage to the engine or other components from the heat? I was running it like this for a few months.

I don't trust these faggots anymore, their only goal is to make money off of cheap and easy repairs that any retard can do. God forbid any heavy work or thinking for themselves. Also if the car is old you should probably just buy a new one and come for them to rip you off more.
FUCK THESE GUYS
Anyone else have experience with these sleazebags? I am also more inclined to become familiar with working on my own car now.
