I'm looking to swap a 2JZ into my FC, I see a fuckton of varying prices. Some help would be greatly Appreciated.
>2jz into fc
Literally why
Even a shit house sbc is a better choice from a performance and cost perspective
>replace light motor with something with its own gravitational field
What the fuck are you doing?
>>17364090
Not gonna lie that made me laugh. I just want a big ass engine that isn't an LS really.
>california drivers
Speed limit?
Optional
Turn signals?
What are those?
Lane etiquette?
What's that?
Insurance?
Huh?
I've had the misfortune of driving around Southern california for the past three weeks and I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that all californian drivers should be gassed to death.
I thought Toronto was the city of the worst drivers. Fuck. I wish I could be driving in Toronto over this hell hole.
If you are californian please put a gun in your mouth and kys.

Nice double whammy of faggotry OP
The car is beautiful and basically the ultimate sleeper. Plus you've got that impeccable safety that Volvo is known for!
That's what I'm saving up for, anon.
>>17363896
They are sleepers but great fun family oriented vehicles. Only issue is the price. As much as I love them 60k is prohibitive especially since they are most likely going to be daily driven. But I also live in the salt belt.
>>17363896
shitty modern car design. just buy an old s60r with a manual.

What's /o/'s thoughts about this car?
Anything specific to say about this car? Lemme hear it, bois.
Yawn. It's just a charger with a supercharger. I don't get the big fuss over the 'cats. If I were in the market for a car like that i'd do the tuning work myself instead of being a production cuck.
>>17363025
It is a nigger mobile
doesn't the gas consumption kill the novelty? going as fast as a tesla is fun the first time but then what do you do? i dont even know how to enjoy a car like that.
Miring MCM the other days and saw this come by. Any aussies modify the XR6?

Got a mate who's replacing his melted 3.0td in his patrol with a barra/gtx35, starts it up thisy week gonna be cut.
Holden fanboy but really come to appreciate AusFord with this engine.
It's underrated af and I'd prefer it this way really. Amerifats can keep their vee ates and muh toojay swap. Ausbros can and will chop another across the pond with the barra.
>>17363019

I own a Nissan Patrol TB48DE and a Ford Falcon Barra 182, two of the funnest cars to drive imo.
Sup /o/. I want to build a small block Chevy, preferably getting everything from Summit Racing. I'm mainly concerned about part compatibility. Here's what I have:
>SUM-150100-30 SBC Block, 4.030 bore
>12558060 Vortec Heads
>B13403L03053 Crankshaft, rods, pistons, rings, wrist pins, etc.
>SK12-211-2 Cam, lifter, and timing gears/chain set
>03-0197 Intake manifold/carburetor/air cleaner set
>12495490 Rocker arm set
>Pushrods?
>MK630C-300 Gasket/rebuild kit
>PerTronix HEICOMBO1R Ignition kit
>56492-HSP Bolt kit
>Melling DG62C Oil pump drive gears
>Melling IS-55E Oil pump drive shaft
>Mr. Gasket 2015 Fuel pressure regulator
>Airtex E3630S Fuel pump
>SUM-CSUM8001 Fuel pressure gauge
>ACDelco 19310788 PCV
>SUM-161358 Harmonic damper
>SUM-G3200-K Timing cover kit
>SUM-G3205 Timing pointer
Is all of that compatible? Do I need anything else besides tools, tubing, fuel, and a battery just to get it to run (I'll take care of cooling later)?
buy a 2jzgte from ebay instead
You're in too deep to get an answer from /o/
>>17362778
Go get a running $500 engine from the scrapper or CL.
I'm on the verge of buying a Calibra but have seen some warnings that they're not worth the time. Are they as unreliable as they're made out to be or do they just have a bad rap?
>>17362529
Fat dick in my mouth & butt
Ausfag here didn't even know we had these neato I'll do some research and report back euro pom
>>17362736
I'm an ausfag as well actually, they're not easy to find here and information is just as hard to find and it's just dumb luck that I managed to find one for sale.
The Challenger Hellcat's value has dropped drastically since its initial release in 2014. The car has 700 fucking horsepower and you can pick one up for the price of a brand new fusion. It's crazy! Since dodge released that new demon, everybody has been selling their hellcats in hopes of buying a demon, and the result is TONS of unwanted and undervalued Hellcats. Just in about 3 years, the price of the Hellcat has dropped over $25k. If I had the money, I'd go pic one up right now just to go sell it later on.
Look into this, it's really interesting. You can't just go pick up a 700hp car for $47k, ok?
Bumppppp
I could build a 1000hp car for half that and buy drag cars that would smoke it for much less

>Be me 19 saved up around $6k CAD
>Also be my not paying rent cuz parents love me
>Parents make around $120k CAD a year combined
>Own 2 new cars bought from dealership (waste i know depreciation hit)
>I now want a car
>Mustang Ecoboost Premium??
>Warranty till 2022
>low on gas consumption
>Under 20,000km or brand new
>ORRR Audi S5 / S4
>Much quicker
>more gas consumption
>More luxurious
>May cost about $1-2k more
>That being said it's used (2013 model) with around 60,000 - 100,000 km
They're both gorgeous cars IMO, I'm a spoiled bitch uni student who likes nice things tell me pros and cons for each choice. I noticed I shouldn't have greentexted cuz it looks autistic but fuckit too lazy to redo. :)
>>17362451
Forgot to mention I make about $1100-1400 a month and I'm thinking about financing for obvious reasons, parents would help pay for insurance if need be.
if i were you i would get the S4 because that v6 is super tuneable and its a lot of fun because of that quattro.
>>17362470
Ok I've thought about that but that would most likely void warranty? And if I do get an S4 warranty would probably last till 2018 unless I extend it for even more money. I wouldn't really have a lot of room to make random payments for maintenance if shit were to come up even though I know my parents would have my back.
Opinion?

Shit. Get an ex v6. Dx is garbage base model
How hard is it to actually turbocharge a Miata? I am getting pretty confident with my skills as a mechanic/casual wrenching and am wondering if it's something within the realm of possibility for me.
>>17362338
Hardest parts are drilling the hole in the oil pan for the turbo oil return line, then fabricating exhaust bits.
>>17362353
>fabricating
Do they not have off the shelf bolt on kits?
>>17362338
It's piss easy, but you should know someone nearby who's done it before or knows what he's doing.
