How terrible of an idea is it to get an e30 as your first car? I'm interested in working on cars so I'd be willing to do any repairs I could by myself.
>>17374285
>bad taste in clothes
but thats fire outfit
bumping for interest
>>17374285
Get one only if you have the money to replace every single part in it
Should I ?
>>17387508
Nah, Flatnose Porsches make you look like a wannabe. Thats why they are mostly so cheap.
>>17387551
ok, then I am getting e46
>>17387565
Do you live in europe? Careful with old BMW's and Mercs. Theyre often trashed by their previous (boyracer) owners. Do not buy from Turks etc.
Dem police mayne
>>17387057
>that Silvia
Noice. If it's yours (which I presume it is because of that WAT sticker), you better keep it that clean and unmolested.
>>17387107
Gonna try and keep it clean lol. I already need a repaint of the front bumper from a rally
>>17387057
I'm assuming he's either there to check out the rides, or tell the Lambo to not park in the entrance to a lot like a dipshit.
why are american cars such shit gm in particular
>muh ls, shitty pushrod engine stuffed in shitty plastic overweight shit pile
>muh torque, oh so you like spinning tires until 4th gear
>muh veeatte, gets btfo by turbo 4s in literally every way
practically all american cars have awful plasticy interiors as well
Catfish design is pretty good tho
>>17387029
>>17387054
if by good you mean shit, it's horribly ugly, heavy as shit and has the absolutely terrible ls1 in it
>don't have a car
>can't get a car without a driver's license
>can't get a driver's license without a car
>can't take the DMV road test without a car
>can't take the road test without 60 logged practice hours
>can't practice without a car
>can't buy a car without car insurance
>can't get car insurance without a car
What the FUCK did they mean by this?
>>17387028
Nigga what? I bought a car before I had insurance. Just insure it as soon as physically possible.
>>17387028
do you have a source of income?
if you do, you can take in-car driving lessons by calling one of them driving help services.
it also helps to have friends if you can borrow their car (but i dont blame you if you don't want to borrow your friends things, i hate borrowing shit)
good luck
>Get learners
>Buy cheap shitbox and get it in driving shape
>Get it insured
>Go online and learn how signs, traffic flow, and maneuvering works
>Commit it to memory
>Drive around for a week or so locally and hope to god you dont get pulled over
>Grab friend with license
>Go to DMV
>Do test
>Mission accomplished
It isn't hard, OP.
Go look at craigslist or the local classifieds and find some old corolla or civic and get to it.
I recently came into contact with a guy selling an old G60 Corrado and I'm looking to pick it up if I can, before going into negotiations, assuming average condition, how much should I be paying for it?
first see if it works.
see if the supercharger even makes boost?
its a common failure
see if the sunroof works, extremely hard to fix.
100 % failure rate on them.
and make sure other stuff like the cruise works.
this wasnt vw's most reliable car and thats saying something.
>>17386712
>VAG
not even once
>>17386728
vw are ok as long as you have a daily driver as back up. like a focus or metro
Whats the best hatchback to get $26k or under thats not a Ford ST
pretty much any old Honda
>>17386501
the thing is though, some people want more than 100hp without having to do a swap or adding a turbo
Why does the corvette come with leaf springs and not a proper racetuned suspension?
>>17386112

What's the best new daily driver I can get for $20k and below?
I don't care what it looks like or what stigma is attached to owning it. As long as it gets good mileage and is reliable I will drive it.
I was leaning towards a Nissan Sentra because I have an older one as my beater and the thing is a tank
>>17385526
A motorcycle.
>>17385526
mazda3
>>17385585
I'll look into it.
>>17385583
I'm just looking for a car but one day I'll probably own a bike
What's the official car of european boy racers?
Is it the golf gti?
>>17385511
GTI/GTD yes.
In countries where there are pollution taxes and so on they're not that expensive. Kids buy them, not knowing shit about cars, and they sell them as soon as it's due for maintenance or something breaks.
>>17385511
god i love the look of those early golf gtis
I suppose it might change from place to place
If I ever do see someone speeding stupidly over the limit here its usually a VW Passat, Audi A4, Volvo 240/740, and sometimes an S13
Not the rug, man, it really tied the track together.
And the walrus?
>>17385050

i want to own a total shitbox. i have a nice car, but i'm always scared of dents, scratches etc. so i want something i can fling into park and forget it and wish for it to be stolen. i heard /o/ likes shitboxes, so whats reliable and comfy?
Buicks
>>17384566
literally anything that's cheap.
If you want to choose, you might want peugeot 106 - even 1.4 8v is lively and ready for some fun, plus those cars are dirt cheap and its spare parts are cheap too. I own xsara shitbox and waste it on forest roads, if it'd be as lightweight as 106, i'd be a happy man.
Just keep in mind that you won't go especially fast in it, every serious crash will fold entire driver space. Driving fun is not about driving fast though.
just go on kijiji and buy the most obscure car for under 500 and have fun.
Hey everyone! I could use some help, I am going to be a sophomore at boise state and I need a hatch back that can handle the snow, get good gas milage and look cool and not brake the bank( around 15K... any ideas
>>17384355
buy a golf
>>17384355
hello!
buy a mazda 3 and promptly gtfo!
Any car can handle snow if you buy proper snow tires for it and not that all season crap.
Get a Prius. Seriously. Cheap to run and bulletproof driveline.
So this might be a first for the car industry, but has anyone made a body kit for this thing yet to make it more... subtle?
you can just swap the hood, fenders, bumpers, and side skirts from a normal civic
why not just buy an si...
>>17384359
Because it's shit
Honda put 95% of their effort into the Type R and only 4% into the Si (the remaining 1% is split between the NSX, F1, and Indycar)
Is there any reason Ryosuke wouldn't have been able to beat all the drivers Project D faced by himself?
>>17383864
what's the fun in that when you can train your autistic sidekicks to do it for you
>>17383864
Was the real purpose of the water cup challenge just so that Takumi would just learn to avoid potholes?
Takumi beat Ryosuke once so it makes him the master drivah
Bunta also has to have a cover up for his vapelord wrx purchase
