I'm interested in hybrid performance technology but I dont want to drive around in a clown car. Put a hybrid system in an M4 and sign me up. But as much as I want to like this car I just can't.

Its priced like a super car but drives like an entry level sport car. Whats going on here? Am i Missing something? Why wouldn't you just buy an M6 or 911 and save yourself $50k.

It also has shit reliability, crazy repair costs, and is super over engineered to the point where it's not really repairable by the average person. Huge nightmare to own, especially out of warranty.
It does look futuristic as hell though.

Best looking BMW currently for sale. Other than that, literally no reason to buy it, especially at it's price point

for like $60k I would want one. Esp with new regular front tires.

My exhaust heat shield is starting to rust. Right now it's mainly around the bolts, but also along some of the edge. The car only has 30k miles and has an under shield, so I'm surprised it's rusted to the point that it has. It looks a bit like this picture, though along the entire heat shield.

I want to take it off and paint it, but I'm not entirely sure what paint to use. How hot does the heat shield get at a maximum? Header paint would certainly work, but the curing process is a slight pain. There is another pain that's good up to about 500F that doesn't require the same kind of curing.

I was also thinking of trying rust converter or rust dissolver. Would any of these work as opposed to spray painting? I'll have to check again tomorrow, but when I first looked it almost seemed like galvanized metal.

>tldr what's the best way to paint a rusting exhaust heat shield?

Do you live in a climate where they salt the roads in the winter?
>>
>>17411289
Yes. I do have an under guard so whatever is getting in there is minimal ad through the grille.
>>
That corroded and broken ground strap is a bigger issue. However, there is paint that can withstand high heat.

/o/ will argue all day about the Ford Panther bodies, but what can you tell me about the Thunderbird, Cougar, and Mark series, specifically the last two generations or so? Which ones are the most common, if any? Are they as mechanically similar as the Panthers or is there variation among drivetrains? Most common things to go bad (expecting air suspension)?

doesnt look like you put even coats on. I used black on the silver trim on my car and it came out pretty good. Then again it was only a little bit of plasti dip.

Hey /lit/ here.

Writing a character who is a former bank heist getaway driver. Looking for details I can add to demonstrate how good of a driver he is so every chase scene isnt just "he drives the car faster than the other guy." Any sources on high speed driving would be appreciated too.

/o/ isn't the best place for this.

most people here are either underage w/ no car, drive an econobox, or drive "sports car" on the street.

very little actual spirited driving goes on here

you're better off asking lit

There is a statute of limitations from what I remember when the same happened to me, but either way I wouldn't worry about it.

Win or lose, you should be fine unless it was for something like drunk driving.
>>
>>17410785
I'm not really sure about any of it. I just know my insurance company called and told me they were being sued by the woman.

She waited 3 months after the accident and made sure I was at fault. She's a fucking cunt. She was fine and dandy at the scene of the accident even though I was the one who got cut up and bruised. She didn't have a single scratch and was walking around fine and her latest Facebook photos show her at celebration events all happy and smiling.

I think she is just after a pity check, but I don't know how much she is actually going to get if she wins, which she probably will considering she probably hired one of those "injury" lawyers on TV for her "back pains".

I was in Brussels for a while recently, there were Twingos absolutely everywhere.
I was disappointed in that I wanted to see cool euro sports cars and hot hatches: I think I saw one Megane RS and one Clio RS the whole time I was there. I saw more imported Mustang GTs than euro sports cars actually.

no, but

seeing as its a 2004 excursion, i assume its not a 7.3 but a 6.0?

if its a 6.0 you really messed up
>>
>>17410507
Dont try to fearmonger OP like that. The 6.0l is a bulletproof engine once you get done rebuilding the entire engine with better parts.
>>
>>17410484
I kind of feel sorry for the Excursion. It's literally just an F250 with a bed topper on, but it gets shat on all the time for being huge. The new F250 is even bigger but nobody seems to care.

Well lads I tried being a machinist and realized lifting heavy as fuck parts in and out of a machine is not something I want to do for 50yrs+ so I've decided my true passion is driving (not racing just driving,) I can drive for 12 hrs and not break a sweat and I can do it every day of the week if I needed too

So any of you lads got an idea driving job that pays more than $9.50 an hour? And I don't have to use my car and I'm home every night with my family that means no truck driving jobs
I will get a CDL if necessary but would prefer a non CDL job
Go nuts lads I'm really on the last string

Of course. The government is your friend.

Only LOLbertarians and "sovereign citizens" wouldn't consent to a search of their property.

I've learned that any video like this is by default 1000% the fault of the retarded person behind the camera and the cop is often extremely by the book and conservative with how they handle the situation. I'm not even gonna bother watching

Depends. There is nothing wrong with my car and it has no illegal mods. If I was in California or Australia though, no thanks. CARB is the dumbest shit ever, for example the 04ish Mustang GT Vortech supercharger kit is CARB legal on a Mustang, but not on a Crown Vic despite being the same fucking engine only because Vortech didn't pay the CARB jews to certify it for the Crown Vic too.

Australia requires a engineers certificate for extensive modifications like engine swaps. I don't have experience with them being a burger but I bet they're not cheap.
