Why is this type of key going extinct? Push button starts are unnecessary.
Eh, I'm a switchblade key kinda guy myself.
>>17420350
Switchblade keys are alright, I was thinking of the ones that are just a small remote with a chip in it. No metal part that you insert.
>next generation of cars, even the cheapest econobox, will be push-button start standard
>millions of people will be locked out of their cars when their battery dies
The used car market in the ~10 years is going to suck so hard.
This kills the 3 series
I feel like I'd get bored in there pretty fast, doesn't look very inviting.

Even then 997 GT2 RS was faster then the GT-R so why should the 2017 GT2 RS be slower?

are tranny fluid flushes a meme? I've heard people say that if the transmission is working fine, doing a flush MIGHT fuck it up because reasons, while others say that full flushes are a must do preventive measure
tl;dr: transmission fluid flushes y/n?
>>17419333
If it's a beat to shit transmission that's on it's last leg anyway, don't flush it, the gunky juice is probably the only thing holding it goether.
but if it's a well kept transmission and you plan to keep it that way, you should probably at least do a bi-annual flush/pan drop/filter change
>>17419343
how do I know if the transmission on an old vehicle its on its last legs?
>truck that was used for occasional towing
>shifts v. smooth, no hiccups
>tranny fluid smells clean (although it was treated with fluid conditioner by the guy who sold it to me)
and sadly no maintenance records
Flush it. If a fluid flush ruins it, it was dead to begin with, and was not "working fine".
Your service interval may vary. Even if your manufacturer claims that the fluid is good for the life of the part, fuck them they are trying to meme you. Do it AT LEAST every 100k miles, even if you hate your car.
I suggest 75k
I watched some american TV shows about cars and they really called dragsters a racecar. How pathetic are you guys? These shitcans only drive in a straight line. By this logic a railway is also a racecar.
>Prove me wrong amerifats
Hmm. A car used for racing...
Why do they call it a race car?
Really good question. Let me look into this one.
>By this logic a railway is also a racecar.
You mean to tell me it isnt?

Scenario for /o /
You're driving down the highway, it seems empty except for your wife sitting beside you in the passenger seat. All of a sudden you hear the rumble of a v8 behind you. To your utter shock it's Cleetus, who's traveled 600 kilometers North of buttfucknowheredownsouth to fuck up your day. He pulls In front of you and does a burnout, kicking up gravel and hot rubber into your windshield. He then laughes and pulls beside you and challenges you to a shitty Cleetus style highway pull. Sadly you are a poorfag and only have $15k to spend on a car and mods. If you win the highway pull, Cleetus will leave you alone forever and wallow in self pitty for a year. If Cleetus wins he fucks your wife and continues the harassment.
What car do you use with only 15k at your disposal /o/?
>2016 cbr1000rr
>full exhaust
>power commander
>get it tuned
All for less than $15k ez

Either a EG or EK Civic and turbo the shit out of it until the engine blows (should still be enough to shame him) or a Neon SRT with the same deal.
Fox bodies also sound like a good idea but i can't find really any of those in my area. not for cheap enough that would leave me room for mods.
Cheap C4 Corvette with Callaway turbo kit could work too.
>>17418658
>only have $15k to spend on a car

oh look two other cars with this fucking SHIT color
why the FUCK did they ever paint cars in this bullshit color

no I wont see it
So we all know about the pitfalls of strip mining and using rare earth elements for electric batteries - producing one battery for one electric car creates more pollution and environmental destruction than burning 250,000 miles worth (10,000 gallons) of gasoline, since gas burns cleanly and doesn't produce much in the way of pollution anymore.
But my question is, why hasn't anyone thought of a car fuel solution that doesn't require any resources at all? If you could have a car fuels that didn't need to be made out of fossil fuels or made out of minerals, you would be able to actually save the environment while also saving tons of gas, without having to strip mine the earth for super rare battery material. Why hasn't anyone tried this yet?
>>17415469
Hydrogen may be the next thing.
Yeah why haven't any of these idiots just thought of making wind and water powered cars
>producing one battery for one electric car creates more pollution and environmental destruction than burning 250,000 miles worth (10,000 gallons) of gasoline, since gas burns cleanly and doesn't produce much in the way of pollution anymore
Where the hell did you pull this comparison from?
Do you guys use your seat belt?
Yes, because I'm not suicidal.
Yeah, I'd rather not get a face full of steering wheel/dashboard/windshield in the event of a crash.
You ever see those russian dashcams of those people getting thrown out of their cars
