This may be a really dumb question, but is it possible to replace/modify the windows in a car so they have a flush mounting?

Or barring that a thinner, smaller piece of rubber weather stripping?

Cars from the 80s especially could look a lot sleeker without the thick stripping around the windows.

>Rent car so I don't wear my car out on 900 mile trip
>Sign papers ect.
>Get keys and get in car
>Go to step on clutch
>404 clutch not found
>Every fucking time because there's no rental company that provides manuals because most people couldn't drive them
I would pay an extra 20 dollars to have the option for a manual in a rental car, but of course we have the "I don't want to take the day and a half it takes to learn stick" people

It's bad enough retards abuse automatic cars like they're takumi
>>
>>17365642
Also another compelling argument against rental companies having manuals.
You'd have people who think they were hot shit and rip through clutches like there's no tomorrow
I just honestly want just want manuals to be great again but unfortunately that'll never come. I know I should get with the times but manual is pretty much the only thing i've driven since I was 15.

Autist. You just spent more money than you'd have wiped off the value of your car.

Why keep spamming this car?

According to /o/ right now the best cars are the Nissan Sentra, Lincoln Navigator and Tesla Model 3. This can't be right.

Post pictures, stories, ideas about box flares, no round stancefaggot flares allowed. for those who can't tell the difference, boxed flares have a flat/very very low angle on the top of the flare

i'd even own a supra mk3 despite the price of maintaining it and it being a heavy brick as long as it'd have flares like this.

I would never do open wheel stuff.
I'll race my SM Mazda in a run group of 50 cars with no fear but these FV/FF/FJ cars scare the shit out of me.

None of the automakers will allow a third-party system to control their cars.

Apple needs to make their own car if they want to do this. They can still afford to buy Tesla outright at least 50 times over. You just know they're salivating over that Model 3 interior. One iPad Pro cengral-mounted to the dash to control all functions is very Apple.

Hey /o/. I have never driven a car in my life (21) due to shitty financial situations in my family. Anyway I am making decent money now and am looking to purchase a car. I have no idea what I'm doing so I would appreciate the help of you /o/tists. Is this car any good? Easy to drive? Where can I go to get a good used one that will last me for as long as possible?

3k civic, unironically
>>
>>17364919
All the civics I'm finding are over 10k. Where do you people find 3k ones? Show me your ways.
>>
1. buy ~$3k car (private party) with probable low running cost, and get what you actually need, not "nice to have". remember, it's just temporary. you don't need to have the sunroof, or the silky smooth 6 cylinder option
2. follow scheduled maintenance
3. save several hundred dollars a month as if it were a car payment
4. a year later, or whenever, sell car, losing next to no money out side of gas, insurance, maintenance), buy newer car outright.
5. be happy

Alternatively, Put off step 4 until the cost of maintenance/repairs of your car (+ value of car prior to maintaince/repair) could buy something better, or no longer like the car.

Accord parts for same year also

/o/zfags, I'm looking for a new
4wd ute. Will be used for work (onsite building) and taking the family up the beach and camping out back.
Tossing up between an SR5, ranger or something around the price range 50-60k.
Needs to be twin cab.

What would you recommend? I'm leaning towards an SR5 at this stage.

I'd choose the nissan navara, it has more power and superior ride quality.

Can someone recommend a good tire pen? I drive Pirelli P Zero but Pirelli didn't make the letters white which looks kinda boring.

I found Tire Penz, they seem to be somewhat popular - but here in Germany, one pen is like $25 with shipping. Any alternatives? Experiences?

Oh and it's gotta be as permanent as possible, obviously. So these tire shop "let's mark summer and winter tires"-pens obviosuly aren't enough

Pass. My experience with paint and plastics/rubber would be to give the surface in question a date with some 200-400 sandpaper and give the paint somewhere to bleed into.

>>17364634
Yea I agree, I would defo rub this shit for a while to give it some better ground. What paint have you used?
