RadioLeMans admits that hybrids are a fail

Even the winning #2 had an entire hybrid system that failed.

I used to have that problem all the time with my CB7.
I switched to a CM5 and I've never had to replace either axel.

Hey /o/ my car's gearbox was really tight a few months ago. But suddenly my gearbox suddenly feels normal again.
What is wrong with my car (I suspect I might need to replace the transmission fluid or lubricate the gearbox)
its probably time to change the clutch oil and the oil inside the gearbox.
no its not filled for life. you need to change it just like brake fluid
>>17391984
There's nothing wrong with the clutch, it still feels almost brand new
>>17392007
not the clutch itself, the clutch fluid. you know its next to the brake fluid when you open the hood bro
So, chevy fags on suicide watch?
yes, what a gigantic blunder

I love how non-pretentious monster trucks are. It's all about the roaring V8s and huge wheels and crazy stunts and entertaining children and overgrown children.
With the judging of freestyle being how well you impress a random selection of children.

WATCH GM GET BTFO AGAIN!!!
Redpill me on silver cars, /o/. I fucking hate them.
Was this really worth a thread OP?

Fuck them.
This actually makes the le mans threads actually look worthwhile
So what exactly is a BMW trying to be?

that's really it. they stopped trying a while ago
I dunno but sometimes they are fucking retarded and kinda smart at the same time.
Okay /o/,
I'm trying to decide between a beater '96-'98 XJ or Lexus SC400 to progressively fix up to a very capable DD. The XJs seem cheaper overall, I like the Americana of it, storage space is nice. The SC has the comfort, V8, looks (IMO).
American I6 bulletproof moddable SUV or Japanese V8 bulletproof luxury bubble coupe also moddable?
>>17391286
I have a 95 XJ. I used to own a Soarer with a 1JZ.
The Soarer was a great car to drive but the XJ offers me a lot of utility and stands out a lot here as there aren't many of them.
I would choose the Soarer if you're doing a lot of distance, but the XJ if you have dogs or a trailer. Ideally get both.
>>17391286
Why 96-98 XJ? The 99 is better than the 97-98 and the 94-95 are better than the 96.
>>17391493
Both is the goal! But for the interim the one which would be the better daily will probably win for me. Did you notice any reliability difference between the two? I'm in a big southern city but also do a good amount of traveling down older country roads.
>>17392014
Aren't the '99-'01 notorious for head gasket issues or do I have the years wrong? I started with '96 because of the redesign
AMAROCK IS A GOOD 4WD REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Whether it's American, Asian, or European; we all love cars for one reason or another.
Even though we give each other shit sometimes, we can atleast agree that we enjoy the hobby we share.
The downside of our enthusiasm for the automotive world is that cars are machines that will eventually break down, rust out, get in accidents, or eventually just won't be worth fixing.
So, this is a thread dedicated to the vehicles that we care for and either succeeded in keeping alive or failed.
What do you think is the tipping point of a vehicles work vs worth? Share examples cars that you brought back from the brink of death, or let slip away.
92 Accord
Everything was perfect except the AC being broken making it almost impossible to drive as its hot as fuck here all year long.
>>17391294
you scrapped a car because AC went bust?
you are pretty hardcore
I had a 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS coupe. The previous owner told me that it needed a lot of work. It had been sitting in a field for 2 years. Rust city.
So, I towed it to my place. Grinded off all the rust and sealed it with paint (there honestly wasnt much rocker paner or quarter panel left).
I went about changing the plugs, wires, fuel pump, fuel filter, all sorts of valves. Actually got it started... until I heard this loud scraping noise from the engine... oh no... the motor came to a halt, and never started again. It was toast. Previous owner didn't tell me that the motor had a spun rid bearing. Checked the cylinder walls and there was so much corrosion.
New motor needed, the interior was basically rotted, there was barely any body left because of the rust everywhere. I just couldn't justify it anymore.
Parted it out, sold the new parts for cheap. Only thing left was a rotten interior, rotting shell, the bits and pieces no one else wanted, and a waste of time and money.
Sent it to the scrap yard in the sky. I almost broke even with the $300 the scrap guys gave me.
