So how many of you do amateur rallying with a shitbox in the backwoods?
Even though I'm driving just a shitbox, it's really fun to set up a time trial and shave off time with repeated tries as you go over light gravel, dirt and bumps.
But as fun as it is, I am having concerns on just how much the car can handle(bumps being harsh on the suspension, gravel being harsh on the chassis), and ultimately how safe it is(while it's a road in a forest far away form any town, what if there is some hiker going down the road as I round the corner at high speed).
Any stories to share and advise to give guys?

Do want you want man but eventually you're gonna end up breaking something. Your typical shitbox was never meant to traverse anything rougher than a gravel driveway
>light gravel, dirt and bumps
Try dirt, sand and tabletops instead

A typical shitbox can take a lot of abuse, but I wouldn't do it with a daily driver.

Car or bike?

Car, a very slow but loud car, making it as obnoxious as possible.
Best case scenario, an old diesel Volvo.
For shits an giggles, could anyone make this into a "Dorifto" logo? The ones on google images are shit, and theres not even a high res version.

Only the most ancient of OC for you, anon.
What went wrong? Did Merc outsource this one? Who builds this shitheap?
Do you really expect a CLA to be any good.
Only a moron would buy it over a v6 accord.
i fucking love mercedes wagons, and european wagons in general
but this one is a little questionable. I don't like that rear hatch.

>who buys this shitheap
american moms who dont want to buy a GL, but still want a ""family"" mercedes
is it that hard, just look at the driver. its the target demo.

600 bucks kid, needs nothing but a new driver and someone else to repair it. All different color panels and a huge muffler the chicks dig. You'll be pulling tail from (insert home here) to the border where the wall starts. What do ya say all ya gotta do is sign.
Now that the dust has settled, can we all agree that cheap, smol, and light hot hatches >>> big fat rwd """sport""" cars?

Hey /o/ I need some advice
It's a 1988 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. The car is in good condition except it has the fuse ripped out because of the radio antenna motor burn out and just kept running. It has started to chip paint on the top but no rust. The engine is a V8 with 87000 Miles even. It's my grandpa and he's asking $2000 for it. It's also my grandpa that's the seller. He also kept it in the garage for most of its life until 2013. Is this car good for the price?
The car is a piece of shit, buy it if you want to make your grandpa happy, otherwise literally anything is nearly better than a FWD caddy powered by a HT
>>17401402
Would it be better if I got him down to $1,500?
slam it on some retarded 13 inch steelies on spacers and make a bosozoku caddy

>Spend the last week trying to figure out why my fucking mower engine keeps flooding (like, to the point where I have to remove the spark plug and drain out the gas because it locks the engine up)
>Finally track it down to the governor not moving except barely a little when at full throttle
>Figure the springs have gotten weak, decide to tighten them up and then go order new ones
>Proceed to tighten both springs a bit
>No difference
>Tighten both springs as much as is possible
>Still no difference
What in the actual fuck? I can push on the linkage with my finger and it moves easily, but the tight as fuck springs won't do shit?
Just?????
What the fuck?
>>17401134
>except barely a little when at full throttle
Just keep the throttle open lol
You tend to get more (you)s when you don't post a spongebob picture.

Sounds like you shouldn't be tinkering.
Go buy another mower, they're cheap.

What is the difference between the two viscosity readings at the bottom of the report? Is the cSt reading comparable to the viscosity rating given on the containers (i.e. 5W-30)? The report comments are comparing this oil to a 5W-20 at the mileage on the oil, but I'm not really seeing where in the report it's suggesting this. If it's the viscosity, why is it not closer to 20 instead of 8?
