I got car fax for a 1997 blue Toyota corolla, the odometer was messed up and it says in the advert 64 thousand miles. The price is 3995. The true milage is 265k miles. How low should I go on pricing? Its at a dealership.
>>17414880
No more than 1800 dollery doos.
>>17414888
Thanks I'm printing it out to take to the dealership.
Don't corollas at that point still have 5 digit odometers?
>his car isn't push start

Yeah I remember being 16 with baby's first shitmobile also
In reality, it turns out most people with luxury cars are actually poorfags who rely on credit, and richfags are more likely to pick the used subie or new prius.

This. Where I live people in the ghetto either drive shitboxes or Camaros. Middle class drives SUVs and every other car is a Lexus or Merc and the only thing you see around the rich neightborhoods are current year Toyotas.

This isn't even a luxury car. This shit is all in my Civic EX
how bad of an ecobox commuter would this be to own? and what would be a fair price in california?
140k miles

You'll probably find it to be underpowered even for a commuter. A late 90s Corolla would be a better choice unless you need the 4WD, in which case I'd recommend a Subaru.
Why aren't you a Gromlet? Aren't you aware that Gromlets attract the most women? Aren't you aware that Gromlets own the streets now? When will you realize becoming a Gromlet is the new standard in mobilization? Gromlets result in decrease of traffic, autism, accidents, and an increase in relationships, marriages, and getting to work faster.
Hello /o/
I just bought a 2006 Seat Cordoba and it came with a supremely shitty car radio that I want to replace (mainly because the anti-theft face plate keeps coming loose and is a huge bitch to put back in again). The car also came equipped with some decent audio speakers, so I'm looking to replace it with something nice.
Now my country's pretty well-covered when it comes to DAB service, there are reports of some spotty reception here and there, but you get more stations if you go digital, and the sound quality is obviously going to be better than FM.
On the other hand, I don't spend huge amounts of time listening to the radio in my car, and am probably going to default to streaming my playlist over Bluetooth or USB anyway even if I do get DAB.
Another thing I'm looking at dealing with is the antenna. Most DAB radios come with a free DAB antenna that you glue to your window or something, seeing as you (apparently) can't connect them to a normal FM antenna. Unfortunately I understand these window antennas are 1) hideous and 2) get poor reception. So I would consider investing in an actual DAB antenna that would replace my stock antenna as well.
What do you think? Is it worth the investment, or should I just default to an FM radio with the options I need? And if I get DAB, should I get the proper antenna or just use the free one?

no not that type of dab gawd
I need some advice on buying a beater for under 5k usd
I just need a beater, it doest have to be nice or anything. Just something that is going to take a lot of miles without shitting itself.
I was looking at some base model lancers, and they are pretty cheap. Do you guys have any experiece with these?
I know old Mitsubishis are shit, but idk about these newer ones.
Ps: Car needs to be fwd or awd since it snows here, and i already have a rwd car

How to get at the rear 3 spark plugs on a 1995 Buick Riviera with a series 1 supercharged engine?
>inb4 anything with the dog bones... it doesn't have them.
>pic releted
You reach back there and grab them dude, there's no magic to it.

Loosen the rear motor mounts.
Use a strap to pull it forward just enough for a long socket to get back there.
Don't forget to re bolt the mounts or you're in for a bad time.
>transverse mounted v6
Never again.
Why the fuck do people advertise crate engines and leave the amount of power the engines make out of their advertising?

Isn't that the most important thing to know?
But it's got vtec bro
/o/ I'm in serious need of help right now.
Long story short, I scratched the bumper of the loaner car the dealership gave me while they were repairing mine. Before they gave me the car I signed a paper saying my insurance was responsible for any damage the car got. So I took it back and explained to them how it happened and all and told me that I'd be paying cash for the repairs and ask them to not make a claim on my insurance, the guy said his boss was on vacation and that he'd be coming back monday and that he'll be calling me to let me know what they'll do. Well it's thursday and no one has called me. If they would've made a claim on my insurance my insurance would've called me right? It's been 4 days already. I'll go tomorrow to see what's up, I doubt the repair would be a lot since it was only a scratch, maybe $500 max
>>17413823
maybe be more careful next time with something thats specifically important you dont fuck up, man some people are fucking DUMB. But thats how you learn i guess.
"just a scratch" means a lot of different things to different people. It might have been something they wouldn't have even noticed if you hadn't pointed it out, it might be something that actually damaged the bumper cover and the dealership will want to replace it. There's no way for us even to guess with no picture and even if you hadone it's ultimately up to whoever at the dealership makes decisions like that and 4 days is nothing to wait for that busy dude to get to something like this which is trivial to him but matters a lot to you.
>>17413823
Fear + time is a killer.
Feel bad just thinking about what you're going through.
I wouldn't depend on "stranger law" but you did make contact? Called in you cell phone? But if you beg them to be nice they may take advantage of you.
If I could help I would.
Best of luck buddy. Update later please? Use the same pic.
Peng engine swap senpai

Interested in getting a station wagon
what are some recommended Japanese ones?
>>17413787
your own pic, any toyota desu. Mazda 323f BJ if u consider that a wagon
>>17413787
Civic Shuttle (you -might- be able to find an AWD model), Accord/Camry wagon if you want a bigger one.
There was a Geo Metro 5 door as well, it's not as common but it does exist and isn't inherently more expensive than a regular 3 door model.
>underpowered
>unstable
>relatively expensive
>stupid oil consumption
>transmission problems
>overheating

Aesthetics. People who buy these cars don't even know or care to what you are talking about.
