Considering buying a Z3 with the 2.8l straight 6 for a first car. The one I found has about 20k miles, one owner, and it's listed for 9.5k

Opinions?

Buy a real Miata instead.
>>
If you think the looks aren't butt ugly then it'll make a nice cruiser.

They don't drive like sports cars though, they compete with SLKs not Miatas or boxsters.

Roof replacement and repair is going to be ludicrously costly as well as all the z3 specific parts, the engine parts shouldn't be much more than regular BMW pricing but remember these motors need regular maintainence so run from anything that hasn't been well kept and get ready to get your hands dirty. May also help to have a backup car.

Too much weight and volume for what you get from them. Medium to large wagons do the same thing better and more efficiently.

You guys realize there's more to life than stats right?

1/4 Mile
Lap times
0-60
Power to Weight
Lateral Gs

We cling to these but have you ever took a corner in a muscle car?
Or whipped a hot hatch around a track?
Or
Driven a slow car at its limits on a curvy road?

Stop living life according to stats and go out and drive!

Is anyone here in a circle of peers who feel that at a certain age or point in your career that you "should" be driving certain cars.... ie. Euro brand cars

I'm starting to see it amongst my friends now that we are getting older and I am especially seeing it within my family.

I've always liked my sensible Japanese shitboxes and always told myself that my "responsible adult" car was going to be a Honda Fit.

My mother has started commenting on how nice Mercedes and BMW's are and that sort of stuff. And asking me when I'm ever going to get one. All this because I noticed my aunty (her sister) likes to post stuff on Facebook about her kids achievements (my cousin's) and how over the past couple of years they have been buying euro cars since they have graduated college.

Now me and my cousin's were never really into the whole keeping up with the Jones's thing that our parents generation were into. Like it's never them bragging about their car. It's more my aunties and uncles and my parents who brag about the cars their kids bought.

Anyone have anything similar dynamics or is this just an Asian thing?

driving a German car usually corelates with life achievements, there is a reason why so many people are working their asses off just to be able to lease a brand new 3 series

Wouldn't worry about it.

Women, including your mother, are vapid badgewhores who will spread their legs for any faggot in a C-Class with fake AMG emblems from eBay.

Faggots and try-hard normies drive middle class euro sedans. Every time I see one I immediately know it's some office working 9 to 5 failure of a human being with two kids and a boring wife.

>>17438658
What this guy said too.
Don't be that guy who buys a $30k merc with $10k in optional AMG trim just to try and come off like you're somebody in life, instead buy what you like and want to drive.

So I just bought a rust bucket 85 Celica Supra. Its my goal to restore it, Im quite aware that its going to cost me about 20 grand overall to get it in perfect, condition.

Right now my main problem is the engine. Its bleeding oil. Its gonna cost me about 5 thousand to "fix" it assuming more problems dont arise. So I wanted to get a new engine. Ive found dozens of nice supra engines close enough to my model year (I want to be as close to stock as possible) but they are all imported from Japan. They are cheap, low millage and come with valve covers, mamifold etc. I also have a mechanic thatll do it for a decent price

Tldr; What exactly will I need in order to put this right hand drive engine into my car. I cant find any US engine thats worth the money. Its gonna need mounts etc and where can I possibly find parts like this.

Should I get a 2016 GTR Black edition for 63.9 or a 2017 F250?

Newish driver as well, so babbys first vehicle. I'm 23 and just now got my license since my mother passed away I don't have anyone to drive me around to places anymore (Long story, cancer, never left home)

Anyways Its either those two or a (((cheap))) Audi R8

I want to start my life out right, and I want it to be able to attract some tail since i'm a social autist.

The 2016 GTR Black for 63 on Autotrader is the one I'm looking at right now and leaning to.

save the $. girls aren't impressed by cars. work on your social skills. get a basic car that'll get you to improv comedy classes, classes at community college, etc.

basically buy a Toyota Camry and lrn 2 social skills instead

An absolutely immaculate MR2 SW20 Turbo.

However, this is a very niche interest. People who are spending 20k usually don't buy nearly 25/over 25 year old cars for that much.

Buy a used BRZ or something if you are a nigger
