Once the Suzuki Jimny gets discontinued small basic SUVs with good offroad abilities will fade away into obscurity. And the age of non cocked cars will be no more.
Goodbye my friend, you will be missed.
Even though it's bigger there's still the Duster.
>make the same thread a while ago

>tfw we will never have body on frame small SUVs again

there are so many jimnies (?) around where I live (rural northern england), I would be very surprised if they stop selling any time soon and/or are not replaced
i know that there are other places in the world but 90s justy/10's swift 4x4s are very popular around here too, i doubt that suzuki would give a market like this up or that everyone will just go out and buy fiesta's instead

other than the RAV 4 the video is fine
>Fiat for the 70's
>Not a giant luxo-barge personal luxury car
that's an odd choice, but i'll let it go
>911 for any era
Shit don't change. Get a delorean, an 86, a countasch or a Starion. No car was more 80's than a starion.
>1990's
>Golden age of japanese sportscars
>Fucking rav 4
I don't give a fuck if the production assistant has a good condition(for what purpose) Rav 4, Go to a fucking car show and find someone with an FD. All of them are spotless on the outside before being wrapped around a pole.
>Pruis for the 00's
now i know exactly who made this video.
goddamn fucking nu-males.

dont forget the black man in a tesla at the end lmao
I'm trying to learn to drift in my automatic shitbox, and apparently to do so I need to do the following:
>Drive forward and turn the steering wheel hard into your first turn, press the clutch down (for automatic cars: shift into and then out of "N")
>yank and release the e-brake quickly
>now release the clutch, floor the gas pedal, and let go of the steering wheel just enough to cause the rear of your car to slide.
>Clutch pedal down, e-brake on then off, clutch pedal released, floor the gas. Let steering wheel naturally return toward center. Easy.
What the fuck is this shit? How many fucking hands do they think I have? I have to put the car in and out of Neutral and then immediately yank and release the e-brake?
How the FUCK am I supposed to manage that?
>e-brake drifting
are you driving a FF car?
>>17449784
FF car?
All I know is that my car's engine is where it normally should be and that it's a RWD.
>shift in and out of "N"
obvious bait is obvious unless your car is 20 years old.
i can dorifto my autotragic by using inertia/weight transfer and putting it into """""(((((manual)))))""""" mode so it doesnt change gear by itself.
2000 mitsubishi eclipse gt

Did I do good /o/?
Also diy tips and mods would be appreciated.
Cracked up dash though
Clean interior is what sold me desu. I know it's cringe to buy a car for nice seats but I did.

>buying a broken car
should've gotten a civic for 3k.
Today I was taking a corner a little faster than most drivers as usual and the car suddenly slipped and did a "mini spin out", scared the shit out of me, I got lucky I didn't hit anything.
This hurted my ego, maybe its the wake up call to stop going full dagumi? ;_;
I spun out doing a 5 mph left turn on a newly rained on road. Git wurse.

https://drivetribe.com/p/why-the-honda-f1-engines-dont-work-KoaasvPrSsSbgUo45P8ARg?iid=MOtYZhBjTsiTQ3Mos7jPBQ
F1 cars are running turbo gas engines with ignition coming from compression like a diesel. They're even adding additional oil to the mix.
Then there's some other shit that.... I'm not even sure I understand.... There's pre-ignition chambers that have the air/fuel mix already starting to ignite while entering the compression chamber. And they have them mapped to do all this shit WITH BOOST AND 15,000 RPM. WUT.
>>17449393
Great job in discovering two strokes my man.
Didn't know about that last minute change to bp oil that mclaren forced.
Seems like Honda isn't all to blame for their shit.
>>17449433
I didn't know that they were considered to be that close to success. Sounds like they just need a week of testing sessions and they'd be squared away.
I fucking love my bicycle but need to get a driver's license soon. Pondering whether or not to get a bike driver's license instead.
SO: are motorbikes like big bicycles?
What are some good starter bikes etc

I daily an enduro and it's been great. easy to learn on cause its lightweight and you don't have to worry about it if you do something dumb and fall over.

Most reliable WRX/STi years ranked?
To me from best to worst:
2000-2007
1992-2000
2015-2017
2008-2011
pretty much, yeah
Most reliable. Not the 2.5
Least reliable. Subameme 2.5 engine

Think 08-2011 had the bad tunes
The Continental may not be as good as an E class or a 5er but it is much more stately and has a presence no car in its class has

they actually dont have a lot of road presence, certainly not as much as any v8 model e class or 5 series

Do any of you use a dashcam? Which do you use and does it have good quality? Recently had an incident that proved to me I have to buy a dashcam so looking for recommendations on good models.
>>17447099
I had/have a Rexing, don't remember the model, but it was rated well and ~$100 so I just went with it without a shitton of research into the market. Ran off an SD card, recorded in ~7 minute segments or so and just overwrote the last one unless the G-sensor detected a crash or you manually saved the clip. It's either 1080 or 720 so good enough quality-wise IMO. Only reason I haven't put it up on my new car is because I need to find either a new sticky pad to put the mount up or just not be a bitch and RTV that sucker up there or something.
I remember when I got it most of my friends kind of made fun of me but I really don't see why that mentality should exist; people are more than likely shitheads anymore on the road and would totally be willing to lie to get out of a hairy situation/cash in on a nice lawsuit. There's really no excuse not to have one.
I've had a G1WH purchased from foxoffer, for 5 years now. It finally paid off January of this year.
Was driving along, lady pulls out directly in front of me and I rear end her. No witnesses stopped. Insurance was leaning towards me being the at-fault party for obvious reasons. Dash cam video proved her action of entering the roadway directly caused a collision I couldn't avoid. Got my 32 year old car fixed and my record is clean.
...but yeah, if I were buying a new cam, I would stay away from battery models. go capacitor-based, for longer lifespan, especially if your 12V socket is constant hot like mine are.
dashcamtalk is a good website to research the current hot models and there's a focus on cheap/value for money, so you can easily narrow down the options to consider.
>>17447099
I'm not a slav.
I'm in the market for a car and I'm in love with the AE86 (Corolla GT-S since American but I love the GT-S too). How hard would it be to make one into my daily driver? It's worth noting that with my current job I'm driving 450-500 miles a week (until they get me a company car at least, since my job is literally driving). Also probably important to note that I have very little mechanical experience (might as well be none) but I want to work on whatever car I buy anyway to save money and I'm ready to learn.
>>17447087
This better be some bait, if not you are retarded and should go sit in the corner and think about what you said.
>>17447087
Don't daily drive a beat to shit economy "sports" car if you aren't mechanically competent. Also don't drive a shitty car from the 80s if you HAVE to drive for work and it's your only car. My god what the fuck, this has to be bait
>>17447107
>>17447130
Okay, so I'm retarded but this is nothing I didn't already know. Is there any car that fits my requirements but is also really fun to drive?
I'd like to get into car restoration, but I have absolutely no experience and little automotive knowledge. Any tips on how to get started?
>>17446621
So you're about the same level as the average boomer. That's fine.
Just buy an old rusted jalopy, let it sit in your garage for 25 years and blame everyone around you for why it isn't finished yet, then retire and spend your failed son's college fund on a professional restoration.
Then drive around town blasting CCR out the windows at 10 miles under the speed limit, stopping at every Chip Wagon to tell strangers how she took you 25 years to complete, but you finally have your dream car. Don't forget to mention how kids are shitbrained punks and your generation is the best.
>>17446647
Basically this.
Restoring a classic muscle car is a pointless venture now. All the boomers have hoarded all the parts, any shop will charge out the ass because they're tired of seeing these things again and again. If you want a muscle car, buy one already restored. If you want to restore something, get an 80's-90's Jap car.
>>17446670
This desu
I work at a shop that does restorations
Get something with inexpensive parts
