Insurance is a killer here and ideally shouldn't be more than £1500 annually.
Get something with an old man stigma attached to it, like a Passat or Avensis.
Avoid anything with a "GTI", "Sport" or "RS" badge.

Its decent quality but considering sears is going out of business I wouldn't be buying anything craftsman right now.
>>17459939
At one point western forge was making the tools, which is the same company that makes snap on and matco. A craftsman professional grade tool was the same quality as a Snap on, but you get it much cheaper and have the very easy exchange program. Snap on tool trucks will sometimes fight you tooth and nail to swap out a warranty tool. But things might be different now.

its funny seeing people buying new civics for 23k when they could buy a luxurious e92 for close to the same price used.

I just bought a 2015 that was built 23 months ago. Saved $16k on the sticker price and it had 3,800 miles. So the previous owner lost over $4/mile just with those numbers.

The fact that luxury vehicles are unreliable and expensive to repair stands as a legitimate reason for a not loaded person to buy them.

Don't care at all about looks or speed just looking for something that is simple. The cars in the sticky are a bit older than I'm willing to go. I'm looking for something around 2006+
Any help is appreciated.

Cobalts are actually pretty soild little cars if you dont mind the cheap interior, I own a 5spd LS and it gets about 32 mpg average, but I do a lot of mixed driving. Toyotas are always a good idea, Hondas are too.
18 year old anon here, just unloaded my online business/crypto earnings on an '08 mustang, pic related. I know next to nothing about cars but I took it to a family friend who's also a mechanic and he said it was good, plus it looks really nice and only had just over 60k miles on it. This is my second car and a 10000x improvement over my first car.
Did I make a good investment? With regular usage do you think it'll last until I'm out of college/another business takes off?

Not Agora. I put almost all of my grad money in ETH, it paid off.
I also own a website with a few friends that prints custom eSports jerseys.
Also had some money saved from when I ran a YouTube subnetwork before they were taken down. Shit was an absolute scam but was easily the best way for a teenager to make a quick pile of cash.

I want to participate in a kart race that's organized in my city. I think it might be some kind of half-serious race actually, there are drivers from other cities and shit. Now, I don't have any serious ambitions: just to get there, have some fun, maybe nice battle against similarly skilled guy, and hopefully not be last. So, despite my lacking skill i don't think i'm asking too much. I'm playing sims a lot, i know how to behave in a race, the only problem is my knowledge of the track and gokart itself.
I visited the track couple weeks ago and so far i've been here five times (8 min drives), but i still haven't got time that would allow me to even quali properly (average low-not-last guy was ~23sec, i was 23.6). I'm also a poorfag, so i feel bad when i think about amount of money i'll surely spend on those karts if i'd like to ride it even couple times a week for some time to learn the track properly. I could go on a proper road trip for a price of ten 8-minute kart drives around the track.
tl;dr: Is amateur kart racing while being sure you're not really good worth it? Could anyone (anyone who's not particularly good) tell me that trying to race seriously was fun enough to justify wasting money on practice, and then more money on a session sign-up? Share your serious karting stories, make me waste my money.
Buy a used kart. Sell it for about the price you paid if you decide kart racing isn't for you.
Buy one of these. Win!
>>17458188
because lots of F1 drivers got their start by go karting including michael shumacher, lewis hamilton, arton senna just to name a few. because the phyisics are a lot simmililar weight distribution plus you can put motorcycle engine on them and that really makes them fun.

Dr. Pepper would've sealed better
Hey guys, so I've been looking at a used car for sale. It's a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0 T but I have a problem.
I took it to a pre-purchase inspector (Hyundai dealership) and they discovered a very small oil leak in the turbo. It would be $1800 to replace. The asking price of the car was $8800 so i asked the seller if he'd knock off $1800 but he can't.
The deal is, the repair is so much because the dealership wants us to replace the whole turbo, is it possible that i can get the leaky parts replaced for much less? the seller told me he'd be willing to knock off a couple hundred if it were fixable that easily.
>>17457150
>buying a Genesis
Y tho?
The leaky parts are likely not serviceable. What happen to that 10 year 100,000 mile warranty?

Don't even bother. Get literally any other FR coupe instead.
Complete retard here, I have a kind of obscure car that doesn't get any aftermarket support, and I want to upgrade it to disc brakes. Its a 60s land yacht, so I figure some modern truck brakes would be the way to go. Can I do that? Or am I oversimplifiying it and should just stay away from this idea?
Yes but since you're a complete tard, the research required to pull it off might be challenging for you

There's probably a later version of the chassis that has disc brakes available. What is it?

Can someone red pill me on Mercedes-Benz? I am looking to upgrade to my first real "luxury car" in the coming months and I have mainly been looking at BMW but I feel like BMW has ruined their brand image by flooding the market with all these certified pre-owned 3 series so it doesn't mean shit to own a beamer these days. Benz on the other hand has retained that high-society status that I am looking for. What models in the Benz line up are similar to BMW's 5 or 7 series? All bullshit aside, the AMG line looks superior in every way to anything BMW puts out.

Enjoy impossible to fix issues, paying out the ass for parts and everything and the most retarded "German engineering" you could possibly imagine. US Mercedes aren't made in Germany they're shitty amalgamations from China and even thing you wouldn't use the word "quality" with.
Real Beemer and Mercedes in Germany are top tier
