>burger luxury cars aren't just "luxury" cars in name only anymore, now they make the real deal
>meanwhile audi still makes """"""""""luxury"""""""""" cars
Does VAG have no shame?
>>17465045
>hurr hurr it's not a luxury car because it's FWD
Idiot.
>now they make the real deal
Keep telling yourself that, Cletus. Enjoy your FWD Continental that's A8 sized, A6 priced and A4 quality.
As long it's not a traverse engine it's ok. It's a luxury car not a sportcar so it's ok if it litteraly can't turn.
Is this the memest car/brand to ever exist?

Yes

No. Nissan USED to be good.

So is a bullet
I need a comfortable, dependable vehicle that can tow. I'm drawn to the Land Cruiser, particularly the J100, but i can probably only afford one with 150k miles.
Is this a bad idea? Will it be a money pit or will it last me another 150k?
>>17460285
Miata
>>17460285
If all your gonna do is tow and wanna be comfy doing it, why not a Tahoe or Suburban? You can pick up a 1992 to 1999 model for pretty cheap. Buy one from a decent white person and it should be well taken care of and half the purchase and maintenence price. Not to mention it will get alot better gas mileage than the LC. The Cruiser will be a killer offroader, but if thats not your intended use than save the money.
I bought a 94 4x4 Suburban with 164k miles from the original owner for $2000. Loaded and everything worked. They are stupid simple to work on as well.
>>17460358
Most American cars from the 90s are rusted out shitboxes, especially in the midwest. I'm looking for something that will last me another decade and i know Land Cruisers have a reputation for durability.
About to spend ~$30,000 on an american car. Living the dream
Sweet brah. Post a pic.
I just purchased this fine machine.
>>17460270
>spend ~$30,000
or finance?
>>17460270
Why don't you buy domestic and get a nice Mercedes, BMW, Audi, or Porsche?
If you had a time machine and could send only one modern car back to 1987, what would it be?
Your choice have the potential do impact the whole automotive industry forever.
Pic related. My choice.

Renault Raccoon
the bose suspension was deemed too heavy to be executed commercially
but what If they started very upmarket and made an ultralight luxobarge with a full carbon fiber monocoque and many of the parts substituted with materials such as carbon fiber, carbon ceramic, magnesium and titanium where each would be most optimal and then installed a modified version of the suspension that now is made with the materials I listed above
I predict a full luxury car with all amenities just without the suspension could be made to weigh around 3400lbs which still leaves an extra 2700 to work with and still weigh less than a Bentley mulsanne or lexus lx570
thoughts?
Sure whatever.
>>17459462
youre a shit engineer, stiff chassis are the opposite of luxury
stop posting

>bose suspension
Benz already has it, but probably proprietary device. S-class and E-class for now.

Audi also has their own version of this in their next-gen A8, which will be revealed next few weeks. .

... expensive as fuck to repair. look, when you're fucking buying a Luxury brand, you should know better...
How do I stop caring about what people think of my car?
>>17459460
let your car piss on theirs

Do you enjoy your car? or do you enjoy the idea that others enjoy your car?
No matter what car you own there will be someone somewhere that hates it.
timing chain on my audi rs4 just went bye byes. how hard is this going to be to diy?
Google it, you dumb nigger.
You can't do it with the engine in the engine bay.
it's gone
Depends if your engine is interference or not. If it's an interference engine, your engine is bricked.
I`ve always wanted an E46 M3 since they came out 15+ years ago. Recently tho I saw this badass ZHP burning rubber and it got me thinking... These things comparable to an M3 or just a 330 with slightly hotter cams?
https://youtu.be/4mR0_uiKT5s
Stay away
Valvetrain has issues. Perfect candidate for an S54 or LS swap tho
>>17458552
330 zhp is like a m3 lite it doesn't have the same performance as the m3 but if just like the looks a little bit cheaper on everything else it's pretty good
I'm thinking of doing pizza delivery through college as it has a flexible schedule and the expirience of meeting new people and getting to drive my car will keep things fresh
Inb4 I get initial d memes I don't give a fuck about being a racer or anything just have a low mileage car that would be perfect for delivery and it's easy money
Fuck off doug
>>17458525
rude
It's a good paying job for what it is.
Get a car that gets 25mpg+. I spent $5100 on gas last year.
So my old ass Volvo finally stopped running so I'm looking for a new car I know I should probably get a civic or some shitbox but this seems like a good deal for cheap and it's made in Japan so it should be reliable and cheap to fix right? https://grandrapids.craigslist.org/cto/6194104191.html
>has a CAI
Don't get it bro. Only buy G35s from non ricers. You're in for a bad time otherwise.
I think that one is from the oil burning years
>>17458337
G35's are rattleboxes and they all burn oil. Most of them are beat to shit but its an automatic so you might be ok.
>862kg, lighter than any Miata ever
>190HP of fury
>extremely safe in a crash
>1g skidpad on garbage 1980's tires
>built from Kevlar like a bullet-proof vest
>luxuries like electric windows, cruise control, aircon, sunroof, sound system
>banned by IMSA in every single racing series for being too fast
Let's hear your excuse.
top 10 ugliest cars ever made
>>17457996
That's one of the things that hurt it unfortunately. it needed super car styling and it would've been the Alfa 4C before the 4C existed. Shame such a man with brilliant ideas got either ignored or shit on because the press didn't think cars like it should be let on the road.
>>17457958
Why does it look French?
I know infotainment is complete bullshit, but how come Hyundai of all people are the ones who actually get it right?
My cousin just bought a Volvo s90 and the infotainment on it is god awful, I've seen lexus, Mercedes, Ford and Honda infotainment and they are also complete garbage.
I get into an elantra and its worlds better, why does everyone else fucking suck at it?
koreans own the smartphone/tablet market so they probably got some neat kickers or some shit to let samsung design it.
idk what the real reason is, but i keep hearing that hyundai is really fuckin bringing it recently
