soo what is your opinion on lada niva for me and my family is the best offroad veichle for our terrain in Slovenia. it's also a good veichle on our farm and light and small but can go pretty fast on dirt/rocky roads.
breaks down constantly, cheap parts don't really help much when you have to replace them every two weeks or so
Also you'll get buffed up arms while steering, chugs gasoline like a motherfucker
but yeah for that price, you can't get better offroad car
Most of the people who are into those swap out the engine for something that actually runs, I think
>>17550711
Whats that video where a russian guy talking about some car with his western friend.
>looks like a lada
>car breaks down/doesnt start
>just like a lada
Australian moving to the US as a residency here
Looking to buy a reliable van as a daily, however I dont know whats cheap in the US (under $10,000usd or even cheaper?)
if I were buying here it would be a secondhand Ford Transit or Hiace (pic related)
Looking for midsize (again pic related) and idealy no Windows incase I use it for camping/ loose women
Besides reliability i dont mind too much
>>17550709
Ford Transit Connect. Or get pic related.
You should be able to get either one for less than 10k.
>>17550709
I know you want the Hiace but that van ain't sold here. However you could find older 1990 ones.
>>17550715
I'd pick Savana because this one is just too reliable.

Back for when real men (and bikes) smoked,
Been thinking about selling my Harley for something faster, more nimble, and just all around more fun on the twisties where I'm from. I'll be using the bike for small commutes and occasional 2-4 hour rides on the back roads. I love the looks of the fz09 but I like the increased performance of the fz10. I want something relatively comfortable. I'm 6'3" and 235 pounds. Just looking to see if anyone here had experience with either of these and what your thoughts are on them
>>17549846
How about losing some weight, fatass

I've seen that video and that guy shreds. I used to have an 08 Dyna fxd that was easy to ride fast like that but I switched to a 15 road glide and it's loads different. Heavier and slower by a lot. It's not as much fun to ride. Thought I'd use it more for trips but that never happened. This time around I wanna mix it up and go with something more sportbike oriented but that's a little more comfortable for commuting to work/school
I have respect for donks.
Even though I dislike the way these cars look they are still more interesting than 99 percent of cars on the road.
It's cool when someone is keeping an old monte carlo on the road.
It sucks when someone is buying a brand new carmy and putting another ugly shit heap on the road.
>>17549115
>I have respect for donks.
No.
>It's cool when someone is keeping an old monte carlo on the road.
Not when it looks like nigger trash it isnt.
I have more respect for donks than dropped trucks.

Waaa stop doing what I don't like !!!!
Would it be possible to put an overspeed chime in a car that never had one?
If so, how would you do it, and where would you get the chime?
It's possible, but why on Earth would you want that

Why didn't GM bring this stateside as a new Pontiac Fiero?
Yes, I know they were built by Lotus.
They already had the Solstice
>>17547015
This and it probably would have cost too much to bring it up to US standards.
Its why the quit selling the Elise here.
>>17547015
No. The Sky/GT replaced them in the European market. From 2002 to 2006, there was no US equivalent.
>>17547041
>Vauxhall VX220/Opel Speedster were sister cars to Lotus Elise and the Tesla Roadster
>2.2L Ecotec i4 variant already met US emissions
>Use 2.0L turbo version from US market Saab 9-3 in place of the European 2.0L turbo variant in order to meet US emission on the turbo model cheaply
Bringing it to US standards is NOT why Lotus stopped selling the Elise stateside. It's because Toyota refused to make the 2ZZ-GE engine for them anymore and Lotus couldn't afford to homologate an engine themselves. They are selling in the US again using a supercharged version of the 2ZR-FE from the Corolla though.
So I the rice from you guys is making me want to buy a JDM for a DD.
Looking at Silvias and R32s.
One thing I've noticed is that buying one from an importer in Japan seems to be a few grand cheaper than buying one from an importer who has stock stateside.
Is there a reason for this, and is it a good idea to buy like this?
The R32 GTR seems much cheaper having it shipped yourself.
Also whats with US importers listing cars newer than 1992?
noone has experience with imports/importing?
Driving an R32 daily is monumentally stupid.
You are a fucking idiot for asking the questions you are. Go slink back into whatever corner you came out of, nobody wants to deal with your retardation.

What's it like to buy a car and never use it?
What went wrong?
>>17545412
what didn't go wrong.
>>17545412
Engine is in the front.
>>17545412
Nothing.
I am unsure what to do. I recently found out that a regular customer from our shop used to compete very high level karting and is a good mechanic. He also had several sponsors and contacts that helped him out. It's my childhood dream to put on a racing suit and race other people but I knew nobody and I'm not that knowlegeable about mechanic.
The other option is that his friend is selling a 1987 Monte Carli SS like pic related for 6.5k$ but the customer guy said he would rather ask 4k.
What do? Is a racing season worth it? Or should I just settle for the Monte Carlo?
>>17545331
Is that the Monte Carlo? With that blower on it and that paint? I'd go for that definitely. You'll get more recognition and you can still compete with it at drag racing if you still have that itch
>>17545347
>blower
>>17545360
Classic cars have blowers, especially if they're top mounted centrifugal with intakes sticking out of the hood like that. You can call your Roush whatever you want.
Hey /o/ can you redpill me on the z4?
I'm looking at getting a 2015 35is
I can feel my bank account getting sucked dry just by looking at the picture
>>17545162
Actually these don't hold their value very well esp. since they're coming out with the z5 soon. They're not as expensive as you might think.
>>17545450
I meant by maintenance cost standards
Why does /o/ hate scooters when these are the ultimate city vehicle?
>cheap
>easy to ride
>saves a lot of gas compared to cars and motorcycles
>can park anywhere
>light
>50cc engines can reach inner city speed limits without a problem
>125cc engines can reach up to 110 kmh.
Compared to motorcycles in the city the scooter wins hands down.
So why do you hate them?
>inb4 not knowing the difference between a moped and a scooter
>inb4 looks gay
Because they're electronically or mechanically limited to 45 kph (as if 50 or 55 kph would've been too dangerous) in half the fucking continent, meaning they still hold up traffic. And they're loud and smoggy. What we need are buyer incentives for electric scooters instead of richfag Teslas.
>>17544270
Didn't I write:
>inb4 not knowing the difference between moped and a scooter.
>>17544291
Moped technically is entirely the wrong term because it refers to a motor assisted pedal vehicle. Whenever scooters are discussed it's automatically assumed that the 50cc models are meant because you need a light motorcycle license for scooters above 50cc meaning there's nobody to fucking buy 125cc scooters. The only country I know of where scooters above 50cc are moderately successful is Japan.
Why hasn't GM responded to this?
>>17543541

>>17543615
