Any idea what this yellow stuff is around the drain plug on my oil pan? It has the plug seized up on it and I'd rather not risk stripping the pan or the bolt?
Last fucking time I ever pay someone to change my oil.

would it be illegal if i got a vinyl wrap made and installed onto my car that was just a print of a pattern of license plates and attached my real license plate onto my car so that it fit perfectly in the pattern? technically im still displaying my legal, unaltered plate.

About to sign on a 2014 ford focus with 33k miles on it. Dealer is selling it for 9500 dollars, and this is after processing and taxes.
Its a manual transmission cuz i am not a pleb, but similarily specced automatic transmission cars are selling for 14k to 16k.
Do so few people know how to drive manual now?

This VW engine doesn't have a traditional valve cover, but instead a "camshaft housing".
What's this hose for? It's not the PCV-valve.

pcv means "positive crankcase ventilation", it's that hose that redirects blowby-gasses from the crankcase into the intake manifold.
it's unknown to me why the camshaft(s) would need a ventilation, hence my question.
what's funny as well is the lack of a filter, which means there would be oil (-vapor) sucked into the airbox BEHIND the air filter.

What else is there for 80k lightly used in the sports luxury market? BMW has the M4, which isn't as quick or agile , and to my eyes looks fairly bland. Mercedes has the AMG Gt, but it's really in a different price bracket.

I've test driven a Corvette, and though it was fast in a straight line, the interior felt cheap, the car had a shit transmission and it could handle corners nearly as fast as the Carrera s i drove. Braking wasn't as good and unlike the Carrera the car felt very heavy.
Am I missing any other models?

Although the Golf 7 has only recently been facelifted and very much remains the most popular C-segment hatchback around, work is progressing swiftly on its replacement. Here’s what we know thus far.
The eight-generation Volkswagen Golf will be unveiled in 2019 before going on sale worldwide (including South Africa) in 2020, with hot GTI versions following soon after. According to VW insiders, the Golf will remain its most important product, at least for another generation, as the German marque develops and rolls out its entire new series of I.D. electric vehicles.
Lighter, more practical and more efficient
VW's new I.D. range of electric vehicles will not share a platform with the Golf 8.
While Volkswagen has recovered well from the Diesel Gate scandal, the impact on product development has not been limited to the heightened importance attached to bringing electric vehicles to market. The Golf Mk8 line-up will be affected by the scandal, too, with especially more focus likely to be placed on the petrol engine and hybrid derivatives.
Volkswagen will be introducing a sophisticated 48V electrical system on Golf 8, which allows for the fitment of a wide range of efficiency measures. Indeed, efficiency is a strong focus overall, with a weight saving of up to 70 kg suggested on some models. Golf 8 will use an evolution of the acclaimed MQB platform that has given current VW products such excellent ride/handling characteristics. The new electric vehicle line-up will get its own platform, dubbed MEB.
Sharper design, more tech
Cabin will feature even more top-end materials and tech integration.
