weekly RCR car discussion thread, featuring not skyline wagon
>>17508854
Holy shit did you see the comment section?
>is literally a Skyline wagon
>doesn't have the GTR engine
>ameritards don't understand that GTR=/=Skyline
>"Not a Skyline wagon!"
He seems to know a lot about random old American crap like Buicks or whatever but gets so much about JDM stuff wrong.
>liking rcr on /o/
Oh my sweet summer boys
You're so precious
Does /o/ /simrace/?
Do you think it's a valid way to practice driving at high speeds or just dorky?
Also what's the most accurate racing game? What the most fun racing game?
Post your rigs if you got 'em
>>17508785
SHiT Rally
iRacing and Assetto Corsa.
iRacing for serious racing. Assetto Corsa for fun driving.
>>17508785
depends on which game
Project cars and Rfactor are the most realistic ones, but still, not quite as realistic as trying it yourself
Where the fuckin' meets at? Recently stationed here and I know AZ's got a real nice car scene.
>>17508694
What up nig? Scottsdale here. Scottdale has a big scene, but its sometimes soul crushing. You got a lot of richfags in the area that will show up to a meet and then your LS1 swapped Miata doesn't look so hot anymore.
>>17508694
Look up one of the old archived arizona meet threads from 2016. One of them listed a bunch of other auto meets and attractions in that area. I guess people were trying to plan out what to do for their /o/ meet.
Its 110 f nigga.

Should I learn about motorbikes before buying one or just get whatever one seems cool that the internet says is cheap to maintain?
>>17508493
Yeah, that doesn't really tell me your opinion or anything but thanks.

Do everyone a favor, get a Turbo Busa and take yourself out of the gene pool.
going in for my first bike. was riding my brothers 1000 f hurricane for a while and it was fast as shit but uncomfortable. dont need to go 140 on the highway but iwould like to be able to get around cars. i doubt ill go off road with it much but knowing i can is a definite plus. mainly want to ride around town and at highway speeds so i can occasionally visit my sister whos 3 hours away or my parents who are 6 hourse away. i figure sport bike is out because of comfort issues. i like the rebel 500 and the vulcan s. not huge bikes but still has enough engine to keep me from getting bored. what about adventure bikes though? someone sell me on either or because i cant make my decision. also i have like a 5k budget.
>>17508388
Adventure bike if those are the only 2 options. How much did your brother give for the hurricane?
>>17508388
also ive seen some vstroms and klrs in my price range. im looking for something fun and agile. i know most cruisers arent but fuck they are comfortable
>>17508393
he bought it for 2k but its shot. has so many problems and leaks like a siv. still runs though.
I don't know who that animu is but I can tell you pintos are basically explosive diarrhea: the car.

Someone shopped their favorite car next to their favorite waifu?
>>17508374
She's a mage who loves explosions.
Let's pretend his passion was Nascar driving...
Christopher McCandless sets off, from California in an old car he rebuilt himself (he replaced the fenders and painted it), on a trip to the Daytona 500. He only gets across the state line when he runs out of fuel because he forgot to fill it up. Instead of simply walking to the nearest gas station or flagging down help he decides to push his car over an embankment and set it on fire. He then proceeds to walk on foot to the nearest car lot (which happens to be in Mexico for some reason, mostly because he burned up his map in the car and he's been taking backroads.) He finds an old bicycle in a garbage dump and uses that.
He finally gets to the car lot and buys a fixer-upper for $50. Before leaving the car lot he has to change a tire, which he replaces with the solid rubber donut. He buys fuel and heads off to the Daytona 500 again. Only he's heading deeper into Mexico and eventually ends up broken down in front of, "Autodromo Internacional de la Jolla" due to no water in the radiator. The engine block has seized up. Luckily, there's a race about to start. Christopher...er "Alexander Superspeeder", who changed his name, pays the $125 entry fee for the race.
Unfortunately, Alexander Superspeeder doesn't have a race car. He does however have an old bicycle still. He uses the bicycle to race. He makes it only 3 laps before he is too tired to steer straight and veers off into a race car and is killed.
Some Jew picks up his story and writes a book about his life and how he followed his dreams. Another Jew makes a movie about it. Armchair racers around the world adore him.
The End.

here's a (you) for a genuinely good analogy, made me chuckle slightly, any actual automotive underdog stories thoughm
On a scale of 1 to shitbox?
>>17508208
1. just get a 3k civic.
Shitbox if automatic, 5 if manual.
This will never stop being funny.

>wearing seatbelts
is there anything more cucked?
>Derek Kieper was a smart, funny, intense young man who relished a good debate and would do anything for his friends.
>Didn't wear a seatbelt
>Smart
>>17508168
How would you know? You wear your seatbelt, too, baitmaster flex.
>>17508175
I do, but this thread was made for shitposts
So I did a oil change on my shit box and used 5 quarts of Mobil 1 and one quart of mobile super, did I goof?
Unless it's a different viscosity it doesn't matter. Even then you wouldn't have a huge issue if they're close
>Six whole quarts
Is it a container ship?
You now have "synthetic blend". No big deal.
ITT: World record holders, I'll start with the GTR, fastest volume production car around the ring

"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""volume"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
im probably a dumbo for asking this but hear me out.
My friend brought his dad's Blue S30
Friend is a huge Wangan fan and is hoping to go 330km/h. What mods should we install to his car?
completely redo the suspension
RB30DET
beeg turbo
buy a better car
nissan is shit
>>17507538
Probably swap out a full skyline gtr drivetrain, get a 6 speed GETRAG and a high enough final gearing. Tough for 330 kph the rb26 and diffs are going to need some major upgrades. The rest is lowering the center of gravity and aeromods that shit
Either way it's gonna be really expensive to break 330kph in an almost 40 y o car

Thoughts on the BMW e34 530i? Reliability and feel for the car
Change head gasket every 100k miles. Don't over heat. Internal fan blower is some weird tubular design that goes bad every few years and pain in the ass to replace.
M60 or M30?
Auto or manual?
M60 is nice because MUH VEE AYTE while blowing the fuck out of american V8 engines
M30 is legendary in its reliability and has some decent power for the E34
Both are plenty reliable engines if you take care of them
doesnt get more reliable if you dont treat it like a nigger, keep in mind theres a v8 and a i6 variant of the 530, make sure to get the v8
