The 458 speciale was my favourite, I wonder if they will do a 488 speciale?
Anyone familiar with this headunit? I know it's pretty common as I've seen it in Nissans and Volkswagens from the same era and maybe Volvos?
Anyway, my question is whether this has a line level output? I am replacing the speakers in my car and I already have a nice a/d/s amp I want to use. I'm not stuffed about having aux and bluetooth etc, so if this one has a line out I'll use that, otherwise I'll buy a different headunit.

how much does a major service cost if the timing belt is due soon?
>>17515521
If you can't do it your self Simply doing something like changing head gaskets can be 900 dollars in parts and labor.
I wouldn't buy this car because it's from the era of head gasket failures. All memes aside this is where the meme originated
Out of rally-/autocross, 1/4th / street racing, which is the easiest/most possible to get in at a relatively low budget with a shitbox?
Illegal street racing or local events of any kind.
Hillclimbs, rallies and track races.
Where I live rallies are very popular.
But still all cars range from 10k-200k second hand even if they're shitboxes.
Depends a bit on where you live
>>17515550
Eastern europe, everything is popular a bit, 1/4th and street racing the most I think

An STI, because if you get an Impreza you'll always wish you bought a WRX. And if you buy a WRX you'll always wish you bought an STI.

Why are Harley riders such attention-seeking faggots?
I've been around car culture my whole life, and not even the stancevapenationHondafags are this fucking desperate to be heard.
Pic related. The typical reaction to a Harley passing by.

Most harleyfags are closeted homosexuals who are over-overcompensating

it's just part of the personality
do harleys even come with tolerably quiet exhausts?
any books that /o/ can recommend to a newbie who wants to learn about repairing, maintaining, adding/removing parts in a car.
Anything to help me to buy a shitbox and fix it up.
oh also about quality tools

There should be a thread on /t/ with lots of relevant information.
I Have the opportunity to aquire a very clean 88 accord dx 2door hatch with 75k miles on it.
I also have the opportunity to get a gen 2 integra (pre 4 headlights) 2door hatch with Gsr motor/granny + Coilovers. The integra is in good shape as well from the photos. Seller claiming 100k miles on the swap.
My concern about the accord is A: carburetor because i do a lot of cold weather driving and B: it's kinda slow.
My worry is when I actually look at the integra it will be a hack job swap or riced out/abused. It looks clean from the photos however. The accord will be 500 less than the integra. Thoughts on these cars? Thanks /o/
The accord is going to have a reeeal basic and old interior and is gonna be fucking slow, you wont be able to make it even normie level of speed without big $$$
The integra is a Integra, every halfwit islander has one cos they work and they can afford them with their benefit payments
The integra will likely give you more problems cos prev owner probably fucked it but will be alot more fun than the (90hp?) accord
>>17515393
My thoughts are pretty much that. The accord, while a real gem is a bit overpriced and that carb is gonna suck dick in the winter (co)
Integra I think is the better choice once I get under the hood and check the Coilovers and the swap. If he actually had it done by a professional or he didn't fuck it up well be in business. Other annoyin thing is the a.c. compressor is out of the car. He said he has the parts but that's an annoying day long project plus I'll have to recharge it.
>>17515271
if you're worried about cold weather driving, why not catch the MFI system from the same engine series? More power, economy should be about the same but you might have less problems.
Also, it shouldnt hve much problems if you make sure to keep your fuel lines and carb cleaned.
as for the slowness, a better exhaust header and a carb ramp should do the trick.
can someone explain the physics/logic behind this ?
>>17515101
Stiffening up the rear/loosening up the front allows the front end to load up more during weight transfer. Since the front end is "heavier" during maneuvers, the front tires have more grip. Likewise, the back end is "lighter" and will break traction sooner, providing oversteer.
Same logic applies in reverse.
>>17515106
Thx anon
>>17515101
Also consider that a suspension system generates more negative camber when compressed. In a corner, more negative camber more-or-less equals more grip. In a car that is very stiff up front, the camber will not change as much and less grip will be available when the weight is shifted to the front. A car that has a looser front end will gain mechanical grip as the negative camber increases.
Ok so I'm thinking about buing a 240 and putting a v8 in it. How much of a pain in the ass is it and is it worth it?
>>17515077
Much bigger pain than its worth.
They have swap kits that are around 2-4K and come with pretty much everything required including shit like the driveshaft
>>17515077
y tho
What the fuck was their problem?
Are either of us going to buy it?
Next question.
>>17515063
Is THE MARKET going to buy it?
It could have been a nice car to see around but I think their inability to price it reasonably will kill it. Also the interior has come really nice touches like the gauges but the general design is ugly af, worse than a truck.
>>17515060
Maybe the problem is that you're an autistic poorfag with shit taste.
