Hi all, looking to buy a classic van. Any suggestions on make and model? Cheers
Not a mailvan, they're uninsulated loud rattlecans that were meant to spend 90% of their lives below 30 mph.
What country are you in? If it's America, you should consider getting an old 70s - 80s Econoline. Those things are the epitome of comfy.
https://vid.me/OJLnJ My cars cylinder top won't come off. Do I need to take of that one wheel and see if there is something that is keeping it down? The car is Renault Laguna 2, 1.8l, 2001

Does anyone have a .pdf of a repair manual for Mk5 Jettas? Pic related, just bought a 2010 2.5L and I'd like to have a repair manual just in case, but I don't wanna drop $100 on one.

>>17538103
I googled it, but tons of trash results. Can you link to one if you found one?

didn't read the specific pdfs but it looks pretty complete to me
Can /o/ tell me something about Honda Legends (Acura RL for the Americans)? Is a Legend in good condition a better pick than a Lexus LS in mediocre condition for a similar price?
Modest selfbump.
>>17538068
The Legend is a solid car. Condition always matters most. A shitty LS400 will have a lot of painful expensive problems from neglect.

no idea
Yes for that price.
Occasional /o/ lurker, first time poster.
I'm moving a few states away from where I currently live, WA to AZ, and am looking for a reliable sedan or truck (manual preferably) that would be able to make a trip of about 1500 miles. I have a price range of about 3000 max that i'm willing to spend.
Any legitimate recommendations would be appreciated.
>>17537899
What do you drive now? Use that.
>>17537899
Sticky. Any 1990s SUV or truck in existence would make it. Stay away from Pathfinders though, history of transmission issues. The Panther platform cars would also get you there. Assuming you're not hauling anything, corolla, civic, etc.

Am poor and been saving, I "drive" a mountain bike.
What does Jaguar mean by this?
>>17537885
because of pooinaloos
>>17537885
They created another spaghetti-lined jellybean. They could have sharpened the belt line, and made the rear less bubbly, but the "art school" faggots who designed this thought otherwise. Also, the rear window didn't have to end in a cheese wedge shape. If they un fuck the c pillar angle with the rear window, it will look a little less like a rav4.

This car looks like it came from the mind of a fucking Toyota designer.

Is that the new Ford Windstar EcoBoost
1993 Nissan 240sx 5-speed
~285k Miles on Body
Still clean, many mods with brand names not Chinese bullshit. Was my Daily. KA24DE was rebuilt after I got the car ~150k miles ago, and lasted 13 years. R.I.P old friend.
It's my first car and I love it, so selling it isn't really a option. I'm more torn between mothballing the 240sx in lieu of a new car. Or taking the down payment money and replacing the engine/trans (trans is original and tired).
Even before pic related happened, the whole car was starting to get "tired," body flex and electrical gremlins are starting to become more prevalent. AC hasn't worked in 10 years. Cool HUD dash took a shit on me last year, had to swap dull analog gauges in :-/ Nissan no longer provides any parts for the S13, after 20 years they are no longer mandated to build spare parts. I've always avoided re-produced parts after too many pre-mature failures. This is now proving expensive and sometimes impossible to do now that I can't get true OEM parts.
So I'm pressed into a corner here with this sudden failure. I was planing on milking it about another 12 months so I could continue saving for my massive down payment. The engine burned oil, but not bad, I would say a quart every 2500miles of hard driving. The bottom end appears ok, but cylinder walls on #2 and 3 are roached. This KA24DE had heart and served me well, fuck.
So in terms of a new car, I spent the past 13 years turning my 240sx into the car I wanted. I would say with the latest addition of wilwood brakes I was getting quite close to satisfaction. So if I'm going to buy a new car I want to be able to sit in it and not immediately begin to think of what things I can add or change to make it more close to my personal preferences.
So I've narrowed it down to the Civic Si or Civic Type R. Hopefully not too many groaned reading that, but like I said, I'm not selling my 240, so RWD will stay in my life. I can fix the KA24DE on the cheap later.

Swap a SR20 and keep dailying the 240. Get spare parts from wreckers or aftermarket places. you dont need OEM shit nigga
I know a site that has oem parts, like legit oem parts but they ship it from Japan, bought knee pads, the no smoking ash tray and the parking pole, it is expensive but that's the price u pay for oem
>>17537825
SR20 is indeed a tempting option, but any used engine will need new gaskets and seals before I could trust it.
>>17537838
There are still parts out there, but literally the day that the 20 year rule expired all Nissan dealer parts sites de-listed almost everything, and anything still in stock literally triple in price. I watched in horror F5-ing.
No cock'n around, no ralliart evo, what car is this?
I thought it was an NB MX-5 but it looked a tad too long, not an S2000 either.
So what's this?
That's a Toyota Sienna
