Why doesn't your car have a carbon fiber roof?
having a roof
>>17581892
Cause its a cheap, 700 dollar beater, you fuck.
Because I don't have $2k + tax and shipping + body shop labor to replace my roof
What's your reason for hating stancefags, /o/?
Appropriating Japanese culture with little cultural awareness or the history of what they are emulating.

It looks shit and it doesn't enhance the performance in any way. People who throw money away like that are retarded.

Finishing up a S13 build and thought about possibly trying stagger setup for slight oversteer gain. Right now just rocking some ZG flares. I was curious if anyone had any pictures of a S13 240SX with the Rocket Bunny v2 front flares with something similar to Origin's Lab Type 2 50mm.
Idea is like not really "Rocket Bunny" but "Bunny" setup. Thank you.
something like this?
If cafe racers look like old racing bikes
and
old racing bikes look like cafe racers
Does that mean old racing bikes look bad?
>>17581675
cafe racers look fucking rad. unfortunately the cucks that ride them ruined them
>>17581675
Cafe racers are old bikes modded to look like racing bikes in order to hit 100MPH on the M1 between cafes.
Anything else is an imitation.
>that fuck huge butchered frame
cafe racers dont look like old race bikes

Can't afford a helmet + the entrance fee.
>buy a 2000 e39 msport, lowish miles, perfect interior, perfect paint, no rust
>test drive it for 45 minutes, absolutely flawless, buy it, take it home
>next morning go to work, car won't start, error code transmission fail safe, won't even turn over because Hanz decided it would be unsafe to start a car no knowing what gear its in
>call out of work and spend all day fucking with it and researching, find out its bad neutral safety switch
>only import shop near me quotes it at $600, the part itself is $400
>fuckno.jpg
>spend all night fucking with it some get the switch to work and code to clear buy cleaning and fucking with wires
>only works for a few hours before having to fuck with I again
>throw that bitch on Craigslist as soon as I get the title, use fake number from shitty texting app, sell it same day to some kid

Gotta have dat badge, it'z so cheap.

Yeah I know, I'm just glad I learned that lesson without losing too much dosh. Just gonna stick to being a weeb from now on, desu
>>17581544
If everything else was as nice as you say why didn't you just spend the six hundred on the part? Seems like it would be worth it.
Has any seen or heard of someone putting a regenerative brake on their car? Would doing so be a worthwhile mod to increase brake life and performance (could also be used to temporarily increase torque and improve braking)?
>>17581509
As in, putting a secondary electric drivetrain into your car and recharging the batteries under braking? Good luck making that work.
>>17581509
There are already cars with regenerative braking, you're late to the party.

What are some good square body trucks like pic related? I'm wanting to purchase a 4wd V8 truck but I'm new to trucks. I haven't seen many square body but I want to find a style I really like so I can keep an eye online for when one shows up.
>>17581506
You posted literally the best one.
Honestly ALL square bodied American trucks are solid as fuck
China has LeEco, NIO, CHJ, Zhiche, Youxia, Qoros
America has Tesla, Karma, Lucid, Faraday Future, Rivian, Fisker
What does Europe have?
Cars you can actually buy.
real cars?

So I'm learning how to in a diesel ford van because that's all I have access to.
Will learning how to hill start on a dirt road make it easier on pavement? I got the hang of shifting it and starting on flat lands (it's a little jumpy). Also how can I do it in traffic without pissing anyone off?
And I smell the clutch every now and then so I am hoping it's just a symptom of learning because the van isn't mine.
And what is a cheap car that I can learn on?
I got the basics and being able to start without gas but does anyone have any other tips?
a cheap car to learn on is any japanese econobox from the 90's. civics, carolla, 626, 323, lancers etc etc.
however a good car to learn on is something that's heavy and has fuck all power. if you can learn to drive something like that and learn to hill start it, you can drive pretty much anything.
Starting without gas isn't really practical and will lead to lots of stalling and annoying other drivers when you drive a petrol car. Diesels are generally much easier to do hill starts in too.
Just give it a bit of gas then lift the clutch as quick as you can without stalling or bouncing it'll take a few goes til you work out how to use that particular clutch properly. As soon as the clutch is fully up, snap change to 2nd. The only difference for hill starts is adding more gas.
You can easily master it in a few hours.
Practice practice practice
Any reason to not get a Twin Turbo AWD Taurus SHO? They are cheap af compared to anything that could be considered similar.
>>17581409
The AWD on it is inefficient. It's a standard AWD with a transfer case on the side of the transverse mounted engine. This is unlike the GT-R or WRX AWD. It's also probably FWD until it detects slip instead of full time (not sure though). Just get a WRX m8
>>17581440
This is like the WRX's fat American uncle that's like half the priced used and hasn't been hooned by a fuccboi

>wheels literally look like flowers
Why
I have an old beat up z31 I want to murrica swap. Easiest thing would be just mate the engine to stock tranny since it can take the power ( FS5W71C good for 400+ hp) but no one makes an adapter. Second option is put in an engine and tranny but then I'd have to fab up tranny mounts as well and get a driveshaft long enough and that can mate to the diff. Finally I could go full retard and swap the diff in as well meaning the drive shaft should be ok and I would have an lsd (stock diff is open) but it would be a nightmare either adapting the stock half shafts for the diff or adapting the new ones for the suspension, but it would remove the risk of the stock ones snapping. Wat do? Try and custom make an adapter? Just go full retard and spend a year on what I want to be a shits and giggles weekend project?
