How much more can cars possibly be dumbed down?
fucking datsun should just go back to making terrible ecoboxes and mediocre sports cars
>>17584367
this is fine for the average normie.
>>17584367
This allows for more efficient regenerative braking. You still have the normal brake pedal for harder braking, and this only works when you turn on the e-pedal mode.
This is great for extending your electric range.
I need advice for a car. I've been driving a 99 Lexus ES300, great car for just driving around, pretty comfortable. Well, transmission finally gave out and I figured instead of dumping more money into it, I could just buy a different used car. I'm not looking for much, really I'm looking into cars that can get me where I need to go. I'd love for it to be a little more sporty, a little more fun to drive than the ES300.
I've been looking on Craigslist, a few 2005 - 2007 Maximas have caught my eye, there's a nice 2012 Altima on there that I think I could talk down if I wanted another cruiser. Any tips on what kind of car I should be looking for if I want something that's reliable, if not a LITTLE sporty? I'm talking sporty compared to the ES300, that thing's nice but it's not very fun to drive.
>>17584289
Fix the Lexus. Or buy a gs. Maximas are shit after 2003.
>>17584315
Why's that? I read that they have issues with the timing belt, but what else? Lower build quality?
>>17584322
Renault ruined them
Should I get a third gen trans am/camaro or an early 00s ws6? I like the speed of the latter but the style and DEM ANGLES of the third gen just looks so Eunice compared to the bathtubs on the road today. I'm just worried about maintenance. I only make $14 hour and I need to spend money on school.
How about not getting a GM shitbox?
Eunique*
Those cars attract white trash like flies to shit. Just reading you makes me never ever want to go near one, unless paid to.
>have driving lesson today because I'm 23 and still license-less, my 3rd lesson
>instructor tells me i have great ability, even better than most people he teaches who get their licenses, even did freeway driving
>still really nervous about driving in car alone without someone to help me
How do I get over the fear, /o/
drive more

familiarity leads to comfort
Just do it and keep doing it. You must be a eurofag? Or are you a basement dweller? Most people in Murica have to drive to get anywhere, do anything. Unless they live in their Mom's basement, that is.
*kills the escalade*
Those wheels killed my eyes, too.
>>17584105
The new Escalade is too ugly so given the choice id take this so i don't have to look at the Escalade.
BMW is making the X7 though which will be a V12 SUV. shit sounds cash.
>>17584105
i'm assuming it comes pre-niggered from the dealership judging by that pic

The only proper kind of SUV. Entirely hedonistic and no one else can share.
GM is a shit-tier manufacturer and americans are stupid so they get away with selling the same product at a premium price with just a different badge

They do, it's called the A3 2.0 TFSI.

I'm not an old lady, and this isn't the 80s, so I don't want a station wagon.
What's the boxiest modern (<10 years) car your can get?
Pic semi-related.

No. They need to die.
Who makes your favorite shitboxes?
ferrari shitboxes are too noisy
>>17583846
The Ferrari 488GTB sounds like a pile of nothing.
Also brandwhoring is stupid and only done by minorities.
Your Ferrari Mondial is still a piece of shit. You can pretend all you want, but it will never be a 250 GT.
Your bondo'd Lamborghini Jalpa is still a congealed rope of semen. It will never be a Miura.
Only the race of pic related disagrees.

Fiat isn't tied to Ferrari anymore right?
what mustang is this?
Oh boy, did chickenfucker lease a new car?

My new control arm for my RDX was sent poorly packed and clearly took a few whacks in shipping (the box had a bunch of holes). The ball joint was pushed all the way to one side. Won't be able to get the new part shipped until Monday and I'm getting cabin fever, am I going to die if I put this on my car?
>>17583640
>this car part that takes thousands of shocks everyday from poor roadway surfaces got bumped a few times while being shipped.
If there is no clear signs of damage it will be fine.
>>17583640
Yes. Good thing you asked such a serious and good question. Yes you will absolutely die. Thank god you asked this question and I stepped in to save your life by telling you not to put it in... because of course, you would die.
>>17583640
Are you putting this on a car that has direct injection?
Buying a new car. Do I want the 2005 E320, or the bmw 325i?

>>17583566
can you buy cars with food stamps?
The 325 is a 2006 model.

I keep on seeing this direct injection term thrown around. What does it mean and why is it something I want?
>>17583371
it is 2017 nigger, 2k17.
"The invention of direct gasoline injection was by the French inventor of the V8 engine configuration, Leon Levavasseur in 1902."
this is why the rest of the world thinks you are idiots.
>>17583386
That explained absolutely nothing important
The problem with direct injection is gas cleans the intake valves but direct injection can't do that. Intake valves get dirty because modern cars recycle exhaust through an egr.
