I need a mechanical assistance!!
My car has a 88 305 tbi and it loses oil pressure when It warms up. What could be the problem? I have replaced the oil pump because it went out then it started to do this.
Your engine is worn out. Time to throw out that awful 305 and put a 350 in there.

Buying my first used cars budget is 6.5k euro
I live in Albania which has a lot of older german cars.
Are they always bad to buy used? What if they have less than 200k km and are proven to have no problems taken care of by prev owners should I do it then or will they always break and cost a lot to repair? I can maintain them but dont want them to be unreliable.
Posting some links of cars Im considering.
Excuse the language but I guess you can understand the important stuff.

Actually curious... are there a lot of cars in Albania with VINs shaved off? If so, does it cost more to get a legit car?
Car terminology peeves.
-Porsche pronounced as "Porsh"
(People don't seem to realize Porsh is short for Porsche)
- Coupé pronounced as "coop" instead of the proper "coo-pay"
-STi as "sty" instead of "s-t-i".
What makes you guys want to eat a gun when talking to other "car enthusiaths"?

You were too good for this world.
I'm no Ford fan but it's sad to see another fun car that's financially attainable for beginners get the axe. Rest in peace you fiery little shitbox.
>Ford a couple years ago
>"we'll basically make all of our cars global!"

>"yea sorry sales were good and everything but nevermind, we cant be assed to put in the effort anymore"
What the fuck is wrong with them?
Thats what happens when you make a car manual only in America. No one will buy it
Which cars are the easiest, or at least more straight forward to fix / maintain?
I've got pic related, Mk1 Ford Focus with a TDDi, and although it's tough when you've to do something it's just a pain to work on. Plus it's a faily uncommon car (vs. the more popular TDCI sister) and searching for how to or guides is hard.

Corolla AE111 Levin / Trueno
I'm looking for any information about this car. Reliability, tech specs, typical problems, price in Japan.
I'm thinking about importing one to Europe. The steering wheel is on right side but I hope I can swap interior parts with standard Corolla.
>>17594508
i think you are underestimating the task at hand. there is more to converting a car to lhd than just "swapping a few interior parts around"
get a vtec honda and stop being a snowflake
>>17594544
Where I live there are many professionals who convert uk cars to lhd so that shouldn't be a problem.
Anyway still looking for information that will help me decide to take it or not.
Super strut suspension might be a problem area for these cars.
Why are supercars made with automatic transmissions these days?
Is America to blame for this trend?
>>17594503
America is to blame for every terrible trend in the automotive industry
>>17594503
because autos are becoming faster than manuals
>>17594503
They shift automatically but they aren't a torque converter automatic like you're thinking.
Simply said they want numbers and technology in their cars because they know they can upcharge the shit out of you.
>is america to blame for this trend
Maybe if people stopped seeing a standard, then maybe.
But it seems like most countries have reached a point where they sell more automatics than manuals
Looking for a car in the $5-10k range as a daily driver (including occassional snow). I see the advice post, but what are people's experiences? Is this a bad move? Are there better sports car picks? Should I just get a honda sedan and call it a day?
>>17594329
Just get a G35 or something. Those are under $10k.

Fine. Go do cocaine in your 80's shitbox. It's your life, sir.
Currently planning for the second weekend in August, (12-13) but the date is subject to revision
This will be a two day meet with an overnight camping stop. The current plan is to start somewhere in Granite Falls and drive the mountain loop over to Darrington. in Darrington we can pick up perishable supplies, ice, beer, w/e for the overnight stay.
Camping will be in the Sauk river valley, which is considered a primitive camping area. this means we will need to carry in either enough water or adequate water filtration for the second half of the day/following morning. the area could be quite hot and sunny, so bring pop up shades, umbrellas, sunscreen, etc, to help you keep cool. this is also an area of fairly high insect activity, so bring your favorite bug spray.
there is a shooting pit in the camp area, so feel free to bring something to plink with. please be smart with your firearm usage/storage
Day 2 will consist of following highway 530 up to highway 20, and then looping along the back side of the cascades back toward Monroe.
As of the last meet, it was decided that everyone needs to have a radio for communication. it helps a lot with general coordination as well as locating people in areas with no cell phone service. We recommend snagging a Baofeng UV-5R from amazon. they're dirt cheap, and surprisingly solid.

OP's mom.
Plus the CUBE can outlast any POS domestic ever made. Cars under the Jap brands will kill everything else in reliability.

How would one go about protecting a car stereo? I am a college anon living with my low income family and their stereos have all been stole.

what year is this?
remove the faceplate and take it with you...
People STILL steal car radios?
Ya, this isn't really a thing anymore. My truck got broke into...they left a $900 amp and a decent sub just sitting there...i know they thought about it because they ripped all the wires out...but left it in the end
