A motorcycle.
VW rabbit
CRX?
I'm going to Mad Max my Prelude.
I need ideas for how to waterproof the entire interior/electrical as I will be removing the windshield and doors. I will also be removing the carpet and seats so I don't really need to worry a whole lot about the floor and such.
Thank you in advance
>>17619795
>as I will be removing the windshield and doors
Cars in Mad Max almost all have those.
>>17619822
They don't!!
>>17619822
Op here, I'm replacing the windshield with something else. There will be no glass.
>live where twisty roads don't exist
>fell for the handling meme
Did anyone else make the mistake of buying lightweight over horsepower?
Why not both?
>>17619615
He said he doesn't need a car that turns for autocross bullshit, and why would I want the ugliest mustang?
>be me
>live in a city with no windy roads
>all highways, straight as fuck
>basically texas
>get a used 86
How do I watch full runs of stages and not the shitty recap on redbull's website?
>>17619477
>>17620549
I'm talking about the wrc stages that are taking place in Finland this weekend.
>>17620556
Oh, if you're talking live or atleast the same day I don't know. Been a while since I followed WRC. I don't think they send full stages live. The broadcasts on TV are 1-2 hours per day though
So I just had my first ever experience of oversteer
>first car, Mk3 Turbo Supra
>its wet
>coming out of roundabout onto 50mph dual carriageway
>turn the wheel and give the usual 3/4th throttle in 2nd to get up to speed
>turbo spools
>lsd locks
>rear comes out
>bam bam on the limiter
>somehow come out unscathed
>somehow also dont panic and maintain even throttle
>steering wheel basically turn itself to counter, I'm aware this should happen
>hold the slide for a good 150 feet
The whole thing was over pretty quickly and happened so fast I was only aware of it as the car was correcting, aside from the miracle that I didn't crash, I wanted to understand how I would have countersteered properly, when the car regained traction it kind of snapped back which I know is indicative of holding the oppo for too long, but there was no indication from the steering feel that I could tell that would let me know that it's time to unwind. I have the same problem with my wheel in racing sims.
>>17619467
also, where would a poor noob like me be able to spend more time getting to grips with car control?
If the front wheels don't lose traction all you do is keep a firm grip on the wheel and steadily steer to keep it on track. Let up on the throttle, not off. That will bring the rear end back on track more manageable.
>>17619467
rear end is skidding and you're steering into the direction of the skid to regain traction and all that good shit.
go to a parking lot and fuck around in the wet/snow or with just bald ass tires and figure out how your car will handle with different steering inputs and different throttle inputs
pic kind of related
what car is this?
>>17619307
Porsche 914, I think
>>17619307
Whatever could those numbers mean?
>>17619307
Pontiac Fiero with a body kit
Yesterday you guys helped me figure out a car I saw on the street.
An E20 1973 Toyota Corolla SR5 coupe was the closest I could get to the exact version of the car. It's the coupe version with the square headlights, not the rectangular ones.
I want one. Do I have to go to Japan or some shit to get one? I can't find any of craiglist on the entire west coast.
>>17619204
fucking hell. Square TAILIGHTS not headlights.
thoughts? Is this a good way to learn about auto mechanics?
>>17618880
have you read the steam reviews
>>17618889
not him but i did and it has very shitty optimization.
Stay away until patch that was said to be in the works is realeased.
>>17618880
Is watching porn going to teach you to fuck in the real world? All that game is going to do is give you autism.
Okay. Fuck this. You want something done right?! Do it yourself!
I recently took my car in for some exhaust modifications. The dude fucked up royally and still had a smile on his face when I handed over $200 of my hard earned cash.
What do I need, and how much will it cost to get every piece of equipment needed to do exhaust work? I'm talkin' welding, cutting, grinding, measuring, bending. Everything!
I want to weld on stainless steel too, so I'm imagining I'll need a TIG welder for starters. As well as some grinders, saws, pipe benders, protective gloves and helmet.
I want to make precise cuts, angles, and whatever the fuck else I need to do so that I can apply what's in my head to the real world!
Give me the range from "cheap as fuck" to "thats a nice setup"
>>17618873
How bad is the fuckup?
Could it be saved any way?
>>17618873
Dude just go to a competent exhaust shop instead of Uncle Felix
A grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't.
So what could be my best options for a used car between $1,000 and $1,800?
>>17618663
Any 1990 or above Ford Tarus SHO.
Toyota Corolla
Honda Civic
Nissan Sentra
Chevy Cavalier
Ford Focus
Dodge Neon
one of those.
>>17618666
1st and 2nd gen manual SHO, yes. The 3rd gen is ok if the cam gears have been welded.
What were they thinking?
>>17618376
*thud*
I like it. Its like a French Pontiac Aztek.
Interior's pretty neat, except for the horribly tacked on screens.
I want a used BMW. Am I a retard? I found a 2006 325i on an online repo auction for only 3.5k but it has a lot of miles on it like 140k. Would manintenance really be that bad? It's extremely clean inside and out and has no warning codes. Honestly I didn't want to get it until I sat inside it's fully loaded with a leather and walnut interior and is comfy as fuark. Plus it's got some sick 17 inch factory wheels.

> outdated, high mileage BMW owned by niggers that couldn't afford a payment on an 11 year old car
sounds good to me OP
>>17618310
The new inline 6 really isn't that outdated is it?
Say something nice to her.

How much does he pay for auto insurance?
>>17618227
He doesn't have insurance, didn't you hear him say "oh that'll be another 70,000 yen" or something after he crashed against Dagumi

WELCOME BACK BABY
TO THE DISCO FIRE
So can we all agree that Ford fucked up AGAIN?
>Only 5 extra horsepower compared to the 2016 Camaro SS
>They claim 0-60 in under 4 seconds but this is very doubtful and is likely just tied with the 2 year old camaro
>No numbers from the track meaning it did worse than the Camaro
>Costs more than the Camaro
>Has down syndrome
Can you all admit GM won?
yes
>literally faster to 60
lol. gm btfo
>>17618209
Holy shit. Defend this ford cucks
