>Hello Mr Anon, we're here to take away your vehicle and we will issue you with a state provided driverless car. The car's top speed is limited to the national speed limit and you must ask for approval of using it from us before you jump in and let it take you anywhere, so you can't use it for fun as that is bad for the environment. It is also illegal to modify it in any way. Your current vehicle will be recycled into other new driverless cars for other people to use.
What do you do?
I show them the documentation where it states that my vehicle is part of the official emergency response vehicle fleet in my area, more specifically the main vehicle for the Red Cross Search & Rescue Corps
Therefore they would be potentially hindering or outright sabotaging emergency readiness and the rescue service. If they take the car anyways that would be a quite huge case, and if they don't I'm ready to let it slip

FROM MY COLD DEAD LEFT FOOT
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-07-28/porsche-audi-bmw-and-others-acted-as-cartel-lawsuit-says
German’s major automakers were accused in a U.S. lawsuit of acting as a cartel, colluding for nearly two decades to limit the pace of technological advances in their vehicles and stifle competition -- allegations that widen the scope of the latest scandal to hit the nation’s auto industry.
>BMW AG, Daimler AG, Volkswagen AG and its Audi and Porsche brands shared competitive information about vehicle technologies with one another from 1996 through at least 2015 in violation of antitrust laws, according to a complaint filed Friday in San Francisco federal court.
Thoughts?
the krauts have become the kikes
>>17636131
This is probably the same way all these German automakers lobbied the fuck out of the 25 year ban on importing cars from other countries too
>>17636136
>cuckmerican government bending over to foreign corporations
Then again it benefitted Detroit and they couldn't be blamed for it, ideal.
thred 4 vanz && van related things
--
wanna cop a sprinter 2500 44in high roof and prices look cheap - am I bring rused? from the benz site itself
>>17636074
Well how many miles are on them. A merc Sprinter under $15k will easily have 175-350k miles on it.
>>17636074
What do you want this van for?
I have lived in a Van for a year and now use one as my work truck.
High roof is nice but unless you are living in there it is not that important and where I am (Cali) you can pick up used E350 6.0's for $7500 with around 200K miles.
>>17636228
Fully modding it into mobile HQ. I'm going to be putting massive amounts of $ into it regardless (for rail mounts/solar panels/power modules for battery ac dc etc and all living capabilities + security system, desktop cabinet, router, even more etc)
I just want to reduce the price a bit, cut corners safely without fucking myself over
Went to europe and saw so many small shitboxes like these what type of vehicle are they and are they road legal in the states, thx for reply
>>17635611
that my friend is what you call a proper car
>>17635611
Yes, if they're 25 years old
Those are 80hp 3-door hatchback shitboxes
Weigh as much as a potato but drive like a cucumber
You can't get them nowadays new since they would fail every safety test. Not really a big market for them either
Anyone here street park?
Has your car been broken into or damaged (scratches)?
>>17635477
I've never owned a garage, at least not since I moved out of my parents house. Only had my car broken into once in college and it's because I left my backpack on my passenger seat.
You'll likely take some scratches over time but break-ins probably depend on where you live.
>>17635477
No, but I've hit several cars that were street parked. Thankfully nobody was around
>>17635477
I park my car on the street and the one time it was unlocked someone went through it and took some $2 headphones. I live in a ghetto because I'm poor though
Why is this so expensive?
>>17635466
Expensiveness is a spook
Status Symbol
It's hand made
Assuming you're not into track driving (I understand why you would buy more expensive tyres if you do) do you buy the cheapest tyres if your current ones are damaged and need a replacement?
Some advice I've read say you should spend more on tyres since it's the only thing that keeps you on the road instead of going cheap but I do fine with the cheapest ones.
So do you buy more expensive tyres or the cheapest ones?
>cheaping out on the only contact patch between the 2 ton box of steel and fury and the fucking planet you live on
enjoy dying. At least go for well known mid range tyres if you can't afford the michellin jew
>>17635274
>I do fine with the cheapest ones
Because you never get close to the limits of your cheap tires. You're doing fine without your airbags and seatbelt as well, right? When you're waking up in the hospital bed and the doctor tells you you've been in a coma for 2 weeks and are paralyzed from the neck down, you're gonna wish you had tires that allowed you to stop from 60 in less than 200 feet or let you swerve in the wet.
Also in my experience decent Michelins last longer than chinkshit and end up being cheaper in the long run.
I only buy the cheapest all season tires available, even for snow. I don't get what the big deal is about "good tires".
How long will it take for all the town cars and XTS's to be phased out by the Continental and CT6?
The XTS has a larger trunk than both cars and it's cheaper.
>>17635374
And it drives smoother
>>17635205
Probably around 2030
If your car doesn't have speed holes you may as well turn in your license and take the bus.
>factory speed holes
/r/ing the picture of the guy drilling rims to save weight
Mazda has pioneered proceduraly generated speedholes, does that count?
>tfw too large to fit in a Silverado 1500
I went to my local Chevy dealership today and I my fiancee and I had a hard time trying to squeeze in a Silverado.
A while back I asked for suggestions on what vehicle would be large enough to support me and my wife, I was suggested a F450, but that was just as similar to the F150. I blame both Ford and General Motors for making vehicles too small to support my soon to be wife and I.
Please won't you help me find a good vehicle to support me until I drop this weight. I'm 538 lbs.
We will tell you the same god damned thing we told you last time.
Quit eating so much, you fat fuck.
Once you're over 400, you're not even human. You're just a blob and a parasite on society.
>>17634994
I don't even eat much thanks to my new diet, stupid fuck.
What are some modern cars that have sharp design? I mean similar to those made in 80s, like Vector V8 or Chevrolet Cavalier.
>>17634717
none since pedestrian safety standards so minorities can fling themselves onto cars for insurance fraud gibs
This car reminds me so much of artwork and concept cars of the late 80's/early 90's.
>>17634717
Aventador is the first thing that comes to mind
Stop driving gasoline powered cars
No, go away SaabKyle.
>>17634704
Go suck a dick and I'll think about it.
>I'm not going to stop
>>17634704
Stop making shitty over priced cars with shit interiors and panel gaps and I might consider it.

Should a truck have running boards? Yes, or no? Pls explain.
>>17634374
If you are a manlet, yeah.
>>17634380
Ok. So answer is "no"?
>>17634374
no

yes
Who else likes electric cars and plug-in hybrids?
Does anyone here have one?
Does plugging my phallus in your mom's vaginal orifice count as "plug-in?"
I'd like to build one or at least attach an emotor to my rear axle.
>mite_b_fun.jpg
>>17634379
What car would you use? I would like a Jeep Wrangler converted to electric.
