why haven't you ebay turbo'd your shitbox yet, /o/?
>>17647526
headgasket is 2 weak
The kits are usually the wrong size and require machining new parts. If I could machine my own parts I'd just make my own turbi instead of buying one off eBay.
Total waste of money that's why, also some meme about reliability.
>>17647526
Because I wouldn't waste money to ruin my perfectly good car with shit parts.
So I've been considering a new car, and I've narrowed it between two.
To begin, I currently drive a 2012 Civic LX. Good car, but it's not very refined and has a lot of road noise. It's cheap and reliable and I'll probably regret when I sell it.
Option 1: 2017 Civic LX coupe with the 6-speed manual. Reliable, naturally aspirated, manual trans, good car.
Option 2.: 2006 Jaguar XKR coupe. Just as reliable (minus some electrical bits), supercharged, automatic, good car too.
Which one? They're similar prices.

Can't make this shit up, get a camry

>Want a new one
Why bother? My car is 14 years old and I only want a new car for more power.

Does /o/ approve of the new Civic Si?
I like it :3 And it's not another fucking crossover either.
Honda needs to tone down all the useless black expanses of plastic on the front though.
>>17647054
I love it because of the tuning potential behind the engine! You can get a lot of power out of it.
I considered buying one as my first new car, but it became obvious Honda didn't want the Si stepping on the Type R's toes. If I'm paying Golf GTI prices, I want GTI power.
I'm now working out the financing of a Type R, but the dealerships are being cunts at the moment (5-10k markup) so I have to wait until Q1 next year to get MSRP.

The first time I bought my own car I was walking around the lot wondering what to do and this topless miata zoomed up to me on its way out and stopped to chat about what I thought I wanted.
And he zoomed back off. From that point on, I knew in my gut that's what I want. Maybe after I quit my job.

Been working at a Ford dealership for a year now, in Sales.
Give me the low down: what's your opinion of Ford? Shit-tier or good value?
Do any of you work at a dealership? Any good stories?
>grew up with a 1999 Ford Explorer - put 435,000km on it before trading it in.
>pic not where I work

It's okay, my family would occasionally switch from Ford and Chevy. We had problems with a 2007 Expedition though, stalled on us 4 times.
Other than that, they're good in my book.
I worked at a body shop that is owned by one of the biggest Ford dealerships in Maryland. we were constantly sent brand new cars with factory defects- bumpers not snapped in, dirt in the paint, warped weatherstrips that were causing excessive wind noise, loose door appliques, all kinds of shit. Ford's QA is garbage.
we had the first 3 Continentals in the state, and all 3 were handed to us to fix problems from the factory. also Lincolns are selling like shit right now.
I love my Fiesta ST but the build quality is pretty shit. Ford needs to stop making cars in Mexico. I'll buy the next gen Mustang if it loses weight, probably.
Does anyone else intentionally try to box people in when parking? I think it's hilarious. When I go for lunch there's this little plaza near my work with lots of restaurants and a hotel. I like to park as close as humanly possible to the driver side of the car I park beside. I then get my lunch and come back to watch the frustrated cuck lose his shit when he can't move his bull-prepping mobile.
i have before, but i don't care if people door or key my car either
why are you people so obsessed with cuckolding
seriously where did you all come from, the internet didn't used to be like this
>>17646117
>Does anyone else intentionally try to box people in when parking?
Yup, and I have the shitbox to back it up as well. 1994 Civic with 220k miles and it's a giant piece of shit. Outside of typical maintenance, I give no fucks what happens to the car. If I see truck assholes take up two parking spots, I will park my car right next to their drivers side door so they cannot get it open.
Just picked up a clean 2001 F350 SCLB 4x4 with the 7.3 Powerstroke for 5800
How badly did I fuck up, /o/ ?

Not bad at all OP
>>17646085
Not bad, while I don't know shit about Powerstroke diesels, you got the best cab and bed configuration. So no, you didn't fuck up.
>>17646085
>for 5800
decent truck with no payments, pretty good
unless you actually had to finance that shit, then you should go ahead and punch yourself in the nuts a few times
You will crash your car one day
>>17645678
Yes
>>17645675
First car I crashed like a year and change after I got it. Second car it only took a few months.
So far so good on the third car.
What are driving gloves for? what are supposed to be their benefits?
do you know anyone who unironically does the whole, driving gloves, dice in the mirror, 8 ball shift knob thing unironically

Sweaty hands and grip
>>17644143
They were for keeping a grip on wooden steering wheels, but have since become obsolete and are merely hand fedoras.

According to Automotive News, Ford feels the Lynk & Co name closely resembles its own Lincoln brand. As a spokesperson told the publication, "The Lincoln brand has a rich 100-year history and we intend to protect its reputation." The spokesperson added "We are taking legal actions to prevent them from using their infringing mark. Their name, as it stands, will confuse customers."

Didnt Ford try to sue a company a few years ago over something similar? I seem to remember a sketchy ass law suit.
>>17641520
They did successfully sue Porsche importers in the 50's when Porsche decided to name it's stateside 356 roadster the Continental.
>>17641442
>What's this?
>It's a Volvo
>Oh? Never seen that at the dealership.
>Well, it's a subsidiary of Volvo named Geely. In fact, it's an even smaller subsidiary of that company called Lynk & Co. This model is called the 01.
