How does Honda do it?
Probably has something to do with decades of making lightweight cars that try to utilize the most of the power they make despite the limitations of fwd.
>>17690096
But it lost on some of those? Not sure what you're getting at

MUH DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK
I hate the new "hot hatch with center exhaust" meme. Where are you supposed to mount the tow hitch on that?
Are we just going to ignore the fact, that for the first time in its history, Porsche has produced a good looking non-coupé car??
Shooting brakes/stations/estates might not be your thing but be objective. It looks sharp as fuck.
I hope estate versions of cars make a comeback in NA
They knocked it out of the park with the new Panamera in general. The old one looked fat and unattractive, but holy fuck is the new one gorgeous.
Looks like an infinifi from the back.
I've been looking at this 2016 Sonic 1.4l Turbo.
Is there a better compact sedan with more power for the money?
>>17689655
A Honda fit maybe?
the 2016 jetta with 1.8l turbo is more powerful but probably costs 6k more

She wants a good car for daily driving and occasional camping trips & maybe road trips (she loves camping. we live in San Diego so there's a lot of innadesert, innamountainwoods, & beach camping)
>I recommend the 1997-2002ish Subaru Outback
correct me if I'm wrong

>Affordable
>reliable
>Safe? (can't find much crash test info on it, but if commercials are right Subarus are & have been p safe)
>fuckton of space
>handles well...I think? I mean It's AWD so I'm assuming
she wants to be able to go offroading, and I hear when lifted they're very offroad capable, but honestly how offroad capable are they stock?
She also eventually wants to go fast, is the stock engine decent for Turboing, engine rebuild w/ forged internals or not? or is that just a waste
also do they make Manual transmission Outbacks?
>I'm still learning about cars too, so don't be too harsh

I'm looking for a sleeper car. I want something that can be fast but requires work.
Help /o/ I'm freaking out
My car just overheated really bad and shut off in the middle of me driving it. It started rattling and chattering then just froze. I tried turning it it wouldn't turn I was stuck in the middle of the road.
FUCK. I opened the hood and everything smelled burnt and awful. Turns out my radiator broke at the bottom and leaked out all the water. I'm freaking out am I gonna need a new engine? It wont start and it's been an hour and it's still not starting
car is a 2011 charger r/t
Yeah you're fucked. Did yiu seriouely not notice the temp gauge climbing?
Sounds pretty fucked to me, warped and seized.
Warped heads/block/everything else.
Source a new engine from a junkyard. Going to be the cheapest way.
I'm 25 years old and I just barely got my driver's license.
When I was 16 years old I was in a car accident, and I lost interest in cars or learning how to drive.
I was with a friend of mine who was a JDM rider and his parents bought him an old silver integra. He was going on and off freeway ramps to try to cut traffic. Light turned red before he even entered the intersection and he ran it, plowing into a minivan. I was in his passenger seat and fortunately neither of us were seriously injured by it fucked me up.
So 9 years later, after about a month of practice, I finally went to the DMV and got a driver's license. But here's the problem.
I feel like I don't know shit about cars. I lost total interest in them, so I have no idea about anything when it comes to cars. How to repair, what cars are good, or their prices.
I actually just drive a 2016 Nissan Rogue that my dad lets me use. So to get to my point...
How does a 25 year old get caught up on 9 years worth of experience when it comes to cars?
bonus: what kind of car should I make if I have a job making 85K a year in Cali?
>>17688929
>EDIT:

*what kind of car should I buy
Sorry about the typos, I'm fucked.

Fuck off newfag. Sticky is outdated.
You make 85k a year in cali? holy shit you are a rich fuck.
The thing about what car is good compared to the pricetag is that it really does depend on many more factors than how much you are into cars.
You dont need to learn how to repair them to use them.
Just buy a sub 3k shitbox from craigslist that has a running engine or little rust and you will be fine.
Will I look like a huge faggot for installing 6000k hids in my shitbox? I know that the blue color comes from the projectors, but I found some voodoo magic bulbs online that go in reflectors without blinding everybody on the road and I want some color
>>17688810
Are they projector lens?
If yes, then no you will look like a normal owner.
If no, then yes, you will look like an enormous faglord.

>>17688821
american action movies tend use american cars. we see this and think they're manly. now that we think they're manly media has no choice but to use them as the go to for action. a little bit self perpetuating. my take atleast
It hurts knowing that small diesel trucks like pic related will never come back to the states.

I hope someone comes out with small bare bones pickup and sells it at a price similar to base model economy cars.
That'll never happen though.
