I don't know what you have, but my german car has done 12 years and 220t km without any problems at all (despite a tiny exhaust problem). Opel/Vauxhall are where it's at.
The E9X series of BMW are fine aswell.
But yeah, VW is utter shit. I don't know a single person who has been spared from problems.

The only way you can not slouch in this god forsaken seat is to not have your back on the seat in the first place.

I'm deliberately trying to sit upright as much as possible. The back of the seat is as forward as I can take it, but the shape of the seat is such that my upper back has to go further back than my lower back if they're both going to be against the back of the seat.

And then the fucking headrest is tilted forward pushing my damn head down.

It's predicted that these new engines should be at least 15% more efficient(read: uses more engine provided by its fuel) than any other ICE engine available in the market, including hybrids.

The curious aspect of this, is that it uses the same cycle in diesel engines, while still having spark plugs and cables. Let's wait and see if theverything engines will be reliable in the long run.

In general, the flatter the torque curve, the better. Where both peak will tell you where you need to keep the engine at in order to get the most performance out of it. Unless you're driving an autotragic, which in that case, you don't really care about where they peak at all, you just care about how flat the torque curve is.

Horsepower has to take over when torque drops off so that's a good graph. For something that's not a V8 at least.
