Hey from the UK and looking for a good hot hatch/hatchback car thinking either golf gti, audi a3 or honda civic type r willing to spending between 3-4 grand, anyone got any other options?
Your budget is all fucked up.
I love my GTI. Easy to tinker with, quick, and a cute car. The rest of these are quite a bit more expensive.

Why don't you stick to your own kind and stop all this race-mixing?
You have just been appointed as president of a small central European country and you've been granted a budget of €100.000 for your state car.
What do you choose?
Hellcat.
Chevy SS with a pully/headers/exhaust
nb miata with complete composite/titanium armor, and an LS7 swap.

I need to find jobs that:
>pay more than 40k USD a year
>require some sort of college
>have a high demand for it or will be in demand for the next 60 years
>70% or more of the job is driving
Help me out lads
>getting into an industry that will completely die in ten years

>pays more than $40k usd
Trucking is your only option.
Parts drivers at auto shops don't get paid shit.
Insurance claims adjusters drive a lot, but not 70% of the time.
You could become a police officer, at least then you'll get to drive powerful RWD machines fast sometimes.

Cop is your best bet. Or get into nascar
Thread died right after I entered so I'm just going to remake it so I can ask this
Why the FUCK don't we get this thing in burgerland?
>>17724361
Because theres no need to have small cars when your single lane is the size of two lanes in europe.
>>17724370
what about fun
because it's the land of free but you're not really free desu
I recently passed 50k km on my 2016 silverado and im ready for some go fast bits. I have 50k sitting in my account and ive been thinking about putting a whipple charger on it for around 12k it should put me at 600-700hp and similar tq. Should i do it? I daily drive the truck. Can the 5.3L motor handle the power?
First, I wouldnt suggest modding a daily driver, especially not with something that extensive.
Second, why a whipple? A turbo could make more power and would be a lot cheaper than $12k
http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/project-cars/sucp-1203-5-3l-ls-small-block-build-part-4/
yeh you wouldn't make 700 with whipple, you just would make the psi you'd need, get a turbo if you want performance numbers, otherwise just get a wet system and call it a day
If you just use moderate boost for what the engine should be able to take then I don't see why not, even if it is daily driven or used for work if you do something like construction. But regardless, I'm sorry to say but I see no good reason why you should boost your truck. I would think that all you really need to care about is your torque if you haul, and while a charger will get you more, it seems a waste at 12 grand. Besides, you drive a truck that was already made for that type of work.
Your time is up, Cadillac
Dammit wrong pic

>one of a kind BMW 7 (E32) with a fucking V16 engine
>they kept the hood closed because they were embarrassed about the concept
>huge engines are not progressive and are backwards and environmentally harmful!
that's it, car culture is dead
BMW even stated they canned the V16 project back then because they feared an arms race with Mercedes which would be against the eco trend

Or maybe the engine's not in there.
Does anyone have that picture of the RT/10 that decapitated its driver? Also, general Snek/madman vehicle thread.

Can anyone recommend a stereo to upgrade to, and anything else I should fdo while I'm at it? I have a 2001 civic which can take either single or double DIN, and probably only want to spend about 300 bucks, but could go for more if necessary. Are there any brands that suck shit?

I just use this anon, it works fine in my Miata
Just don't be that dickhead who tries to sell their car with one of these though, keep the stock one
>Are there any brands that suck shit?
avoid BOSS and similar chink brands and you'll be fine
>$40 on a second hand quality unit
>$150 for a second hand 5 channel amp
>$60 on second hand sub
>$50 on wiring
Wala
The *ONLY* aftermarket deck in that price range that is better than your stock deck is the Pioneer DEH-80PRS.
Everything else sucks a bag of dicks in that price range, even the Alpines.

What's a good grippy tyre for the size 195/65r15?
I heard Yokohama's 740 GTX is a very good tyre, just looking for any other input.
thats very narrow, but thats not a bad choice
Don't even bother getting something that grips to pavement really well. That tire size is way too small for any type of actual performance. There's no point in dropping tons of money on your civic. What you should get is a high performance all season.
With that being said, I recommend continental Conti pro contacts. Continental makes some of the best tires money can buy.
>>17715112
Cheers mate, I bought some Chinese shit tyres from a friend's shop for $40 per, they work for what they are but I'm not trusting them when it rains or any other condition.
I'll grab a set of those when I get the money, really good reviews on them, thanks again.

Not with my suspension lel
HELLS! YEAH!
I need an SUV big enough to haul tools and piping like a 4Runner or something. I'll start with a 4Runner. I need something reliable and easy to work on, preferably two doors since I don't want
to give people rides.
>>17728860
first gen CRV
Super reliable, gas efficient, super easy to work on B20 and cheap parts
You can find them in 5 speeds too. The AWD that doesnt suck gas is nice too though it's not a great AWD system it's still better than just FWD.
If you dont want to give rides just take your back seats out. Thats what I did with mine. I do freelance handyman work and used it for transporting everything around. Bought it with (2001) 177k miles 5 speed for $2500 in 2011. Sold it last year for $3000 with 255k still running fine only ever replaced timing belt, brakes, tires, and plugs and wires. Nothing ever acutally went bad, just wear stuff. Even on the same walmart everstart battery from 2009.

I appreciate what you're saying but I simply don't like Hondas lol.
Convince me not to buy pic related.
>big
Making it comfy
>slow
It runs low 12s stock
>heavy/can't turn
I'm coming from a truck, so that doesn't really matter to me. And where I live is 90% straight roads
>Ugly
Very subjective, but it still has a lot of the classic muscle car look, which most agree is sexy
Don't buy it, broh.
I can't. I'd buy it if it made more sense where I live.
