What's the best crossover vehicle from 2013 - 2018
Pic related is a Jeep Renegade but those damn X symbols on the lights is just killer.

Most reviews of Jeeps is that they're shit. Never owned one is this true?

Infiniti G35 same model year
>3.7 L V6
>Naturally aspirated

What a shame, I always loved the v8 boxy old RWD monte carlos from the 80s, no wonder they gave up making them in 2007.
3.5 Liter I meant, my bad
>>17729572
I thought these were V8 and RWD.
>dreams shattered
>>17729594
To be fair, in 2006 and 2007 they made an SS version with a 5.3 L V8... but it only came in automatic and FWD.
So is there any reliable way to protect my shitbox from rusting to dust in winter?
What do you anons do to protect your car?
yuropoor so garaging it isnt an option
Frequent underbody cleaning and coating.
You're better off not garaging it actually. If you get a bunch of salty ice and shit all over your car and then put it in a garage it will all melt and seep into every orifice of your car. Leave the car outside and it will hopefully stay frozen. This is only something ive heard before, who knows if it really makes a difference.
Honestly there isn't much you can do. You could get the whole car undercoated but that cant really protect everything, nothing can. If you drive your car through winter on salty roads it will get rusty.
>>17728560
Sounds like broscience, you'd be better off just fucking cleaning it.
What type of shoes do you drive with?
whatcho whatcho whatchoooo baack
>tuna
>fatburger
>faggot
>i like his haircut
None, I take my shoes off whenever I drive

Thank you. I think I'm gonna just start tearing shit down. Well, first I'm gonna lap the valves on the new heads, then I'm gonna take the intake off the motor and try to tackle all the issues at the same time (misfire, coolant leak, wanting to upgrade to HO heads/cam/intake etc)
64 Falcon from last bread
Managed to get the cluster and column remounted today but snapped a cable trying to reinstall the heater controls, also have to wait on finishing the carpet and doing the seats until i get new belts delivered.
why don't you have a greasy-ass-beater whore to play in /ccg/?
Posted this in the other miata thread but wanted to make a thread to praise the ND which I feel gets overlooked alot.
Highly recommend it to anyone that doesnt need more than two seats(Just you and girlfriend no kids etc).
Car is a ton of fun and power is great in low end, decent in mid and drops off at top but the car is so well balanced and good handling that you wont miss top end power to much
Really is a 10/10 car
Pros
Looks good(way better in person than online pics)
Outstanding handling
50/50 balance
good shifting
Good torque/power in low and mid range
Lightweight
RWD
Cons
Lack of top end power far from a muscle car but lets be realistic here you wont get to safely use serious top end power in any city. One of my friends has 2016 mustang gt, has awesome power but he rarely gets to use it and its basically in short spurts
TLDR: ND is a good fucking car and you should consider buying one if you can afford it
i cant afford a ND
>>17734279
Theirs always the NA and NB, tons of good mods for it to. Avoid the NC to heavy
They're just so fucking expensive in Canada
Want one with an LSD? Get ready so drop over $40k on one
It becomes incredibly hard to justify at that price, especially when you live near Toronto and there are plenty of higher end CPO cars available with a warranty and financing
Hopefully the 124 Spyder will tank in value hard like other Fiats, that seems to be the best way to get your hands on an ND
What cars do you genuinely like but would not want to be associated with the drivers?
for me pretty much any Subaru but the Forrester and especially anything RHD
>>17734190
Anything BMW, especially from the e46 era as a whole. They are the Subarus of Eastern Europe.
>>17734190
Faggot OP, letting other losers ruin a good car for you, a damn shame
none, because i'm not a faggot who cares if a loser in a ecoboost mustang thinks my car is shit
sup /o/, this post has two parts
A. Been really captivated by the looks of the Mach 1 recently. Do any anons know how reliable the car his, if it was shitty history with anything in particular, or if have any kind of experience with it what are your overall thoughts.
B. Hypothetically lets say I get one. I live in a town where there are a shit tonne of Lancers, WRXs, BRZs, Challengers, Camaros and shitboxes. What do I need to do in order to be able to out run AND out maneuver anything I come across. Even if I need to put in a different engine, I don't care. Just fill me in. One thing I definitely want to do is get a supercharger for it even if a turbo is a better option. Have never been a fan of any kind of lag let alone in fucking cars. (reason for part B. is because inferiority complex so need to have a bitter auto dick than everyone else)
>>17733720
They're good cars. They have the best drivetrain of the big 3 cars. The weakest point is the crappy power steering, but its easily remedied.
Get good tires and shocks and you can hang with most new cars. Whatever engine you have just get some modern heads for it and you'll be looking pretty good.
>>17733735
Excellent. Would this thing look dumb with a blower?
>>17733744
that's up to you. personally I'd use a centrifugal supercharger like a paxton or procharger. roots style ones that stick through the hood heat the intake air a lot. they are better used for drag racing imo.
also here's a good guide for chassis reinforcement and modification

hnnnnnnng
that's a pretty great shoop.
Would sell kidney for.
Thinking of getting a Toyota Tundra or Toyota Tacoma. anyone got better options? what should I look out for? I'm still new with cars so I apologize if this info is not enough.
I'm buying used so (anywhere from 2010-2013)... what should be a good rough price range assuming its is in good condition.
>>17732646
>anyone got better options?
ranger
just as dependable without the meme tax
>>17732646
ALWAYS GET TOYOTA, PERIOD!
Tundra is a great half ton pickup truck with a bullet proof engine that would last you 1 million miles if you take great care of it. However, with the new domestics (Ford, GM Twins, RAM) they probably won't last no more than 250k miles even if you service them.
If you need something smaller or somewhat good on gas, get the Taco. Can kick a Chevy Recallarado's ass all day every day in reliability. (plus the Colorado is a woman's truck, you'd look like a fag driving around in one)
>>17732646
I'm in a similar predicament, anon.
I really want a ((current gen)) Taco, or a previous gen Silverado. I do a fair amount of trail riding, but nothing too crazy (no crawling or anything like that, I just like taking the trails).
Silverado is a comfortable ride, though the newest are just too big for my needs. I feel like I can get a 2013-14 Silverado with all the bells and whistles for close to 25k. If I were to go the Taco route it would be a TRD OR or Pro. That crawl control seems pretty sweet, and now they can be had with a sunroof.
I don't know what I'll do.
If i live in a bad area, should i just leave my car unlocked?
someone used a rock to smash my window about 3 years ago while i was living in a different apartment, i recently moved into a slightly worse area and im considering just leaving my car unlocked and just not ever having anything in it. im fine with them hopping in it as long as they don't fuck it up, i just dont want to pay for another window
They are going to fuck it up anyways nigger, either by removing interior panels, or stealing your steering wheel or shift knob (which is way easier than it seems).
>>17732610
If you leave car locked:
>someone MIGHT smash your window to get in
If you leave car unlocked:
>Car gets stolen
>Stereo/components get stolen
>Welfare-dweller shits/pisses in car as a joke
>Homeless person claims it as a shelter
>Windows get smashed anyway
Not to mention the unlocked ones would happen more often as basketball enthusiasts literally walk around parking lots looking for unlocked cars. So would you rather pay for a new window maybe once every 3 years or pay for a new interior and glass anyway, or possibly have to buy a new car? Best advice I can give is get a "smile you're on camera" sticker on your window to scare off the creatures of the night.
>>17732610
Just get a shitty car that looks like it'd be waste of time to break into.
You are now in charge of designing and executing the new GT.
What do you do differently? powerplant, pricing, transmission and anything else.
>>17732532
Nothing it's perfect.
>>17732546
Yeah me too. I think the whole construction apart from all the shit people say, I think overall it was a perfect car. It was purely built to race and that's it.
Replace ecoshit with a modern aluminum block 427 cammer. Supercharger or twin turbo as options. Manual only. Redesign the back a little.
The Mach 1 is perhaps the only muscle car I admire.
That is a pony car.
>>17732209
You picked the heaviest and ugliest one m8 69-70 and 03-04
>>17732222
Isn't that derived from a muscle car?
>>17732223
But you could tell it meant serious business.
There’s a photography trope that says, “the best camera is the one you have with you.” The idea is that the best photographs aren’t always the ones that are sharpest, or have the most accurate color, or the most megapixels; but rather the best photographs capture a moment that moves you, and those moments pass quickly. This flies in the face of the cargo cult that is so endemic to photography culture, but it is absolutely the truth.
I think automotive culture suffers from a similar paradox. There is so much focus on horsepower, acceleration, and lap times, that the actual enjoyment of driving gets overlooked — or at least takes a back seat in the broader context. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that these objective metrics are straightforward to measure and publish in cool infographics. Meanwhile, the way a car actually drives requires expressive language. The latter is far more challenging to write in a way that draws in audiences.
The other major contributor to this dysfunction is that most people don’t have the opportunity to drive that many cars. At 40 years old, I’ve owned eight cars, but most of them have been of the similar types (2 Rabbits, 3 GTIs, 1 MR2, and 2 BMWs). I’ve learned a lot in the course of owning these cars, and my beliefs today are 180° from the beliefs I held in my twenties. I cannot, however, blame my twenty-something self for holding those beliefs, because I didn’t have the experience required to form more nuanced feelings.
So, my message to you, young enthusiast, is this: Drive as many cars as you possibly can. Save your money and get yourself to a racing school. Learn what it feels like to balance a car on the edge of grip. Armed with that knowledge, seek out an automobile that rewards your senses, not your ego.
>>17732025
Stop being a fag and post more automatic vs manual, m3 vs mustang, corvette vs gtr
>>17732028
But grandpa, how does a not poverty tier, but still very budget minded enthusiast experience driving many different types of cars on the (relatively) cheap?
What kind of Ford is this?
>>17731517
>>17731517
Looks like a Taurus.
>>17731517
100% a Taurus 100% driven by niggers from looking at the angle of those seats.
