Now your car is sucking up super cold air since it's right next to the dry ice right?
You have to be 18 to post here.

People used to do that all the time with old cars. Not entirely sure why it's not a thing anymore
I have a 98 Maxima GLE with 229k miles that isn't starting
Leading up to the no start, the car would occasionally take up to 30 seconds of key turning to turn over. Sometimes it would start normal. Some days it would start only to stop almost immediately. Weather was not a factor. Once the car alarm went off for no reason during this time.
Now, when you turn the key, all the dash lights light up as they should, the radio and clock dim as they are supposed and there is 2 clicks from the fuse box under the dash as there always was before. Beyond this, nothing. Mechanic said that it was not the starter, as you could bridge the poles and start it that way. In the end they told me it would be $70/h to find the problem and there was no guarantee that they would be able to find or fix it. I told them to bridge the poles on the starter and I would take it home. Additionally, they had to cut the horn when they were working on it because the theft alarm went off and they couldn't get it to stop.
When I got the car home I did some brief research and decided I would swap the relay for the WIPERS with the ANTI THEFT/START. It started once like normal and then wouldn't start again after.
I plugged a code reader in and this is what I got back.
P0400 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow
P0325 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit (Bank 1)
P0440 Evaporative Emission System
P0141 02 Heater Circuit (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
A friend was with me when I did the reader and he had me try to start while he payed attention to the relay. He said there was no sound or clicking coming from the relays when I tried to start it.
What should I do next, other than invest in a voltage reader.

Pull the starter and do it like cleetus here:

>get in front and this nigga speeding behind me
>traffic light goes yellow
>turn a corner and watch him run a red light in my rearview
>do thing
>people upset
>it was epic
>sperg tries overtaking from the right while I'm in the middle lane
>speed up just a tiny bit so he misses his window by reaching the car in front of him and having to slow down 15mph to not rear end him
Who here /lawfully devilish/?
>spend $700 on a set of tyres
>they end up almost completely bald in 2 months/2500 miles
>>17685315
Did you buy Chinese tires? its also worth noting that people have been putting a thin layer of new thread on old tires to make them appear "new" then when you drive on them they wear out really quickly or explode completely under pressure.
quit driving like a mongoloid and get an alignment done
even the shittiest tires should last longer than that
>>17685315
Did you buy a set of super soft sport tires and hoon all day?
Buying a NEW car for the first time. Is the Focus RS worth it? I've been having a hard time coming to terms with spending so much on a car, but I've wanted a Stealth Gray RS with forged wheels for almost 2 years now. Any Focus RS owners here?
Is it worth it? That's on you, we can't decide that.
The interior is appalling for the price they are asking and it's pretty much a tarted up FoST.
That said it is quite fun to drive.
You need to ask yourself if it's worth it over say a mustang GT or something else in the 40k range.
>>17685260
Can you get a Civic Type R in the 40k range? get that if so.
Take it for a test drive and decide for yourself. Don't ask poorfags on /o/ who can only afford rusty shitboxes and don't even have a credit score. If you get it, know that a Ford Racing tune will bump it up to 370HP/375TRQ while retaining your factory warranty.

Count the number of hypermasculine mods on the truck, deduct 3 inches of length off his penis for each mod if there are more than 2, then complement him or quietly judge him for being an insecure shit stain.

Seriously, why don't wagons sell in the US?

Why don't they sell a lot of different cars here, or have the same engines?
I have always wondered why Canada (and others) got some higher horsepower versions of cars than we do in the US

Any 804 fags here? I never see anything about a meet/cruise in the Richmond area who'd want to set something up?
love to go on one but don't know enough about the area to ensure a nog-free corridor
No one?
The last time I went driving in Virginia I caught a ticket in a Safety Corridor for going 89 in a 75
I don't think I'm going back to Virginia any time soon
Don't fucking lie to me, who of you fags got caught starring at the Miata by 09:43min?
>the redhead nerd busrider
>the vaping civic owner
>the benchracer with the musclecar obsession
I bet my left testicle that one of them is a tripfag here. But who?

I feel ya man. A few nights ago, my gf and I went out for dinner and I just started glancing around the room. Every family there had their heads buried in their phones. Smartphones are a great invention but I can't help but feel like society is completely dependant on them now and can't seem to function without them.
>>17683497
You don't know much about music if you think the 90's wasn't the golden age for emo.
Recently was in an accident and need to replace my car. Insurance payout was $3200. Could put in a bit more money if the car was really worth it. Would prefer to save as much as possible.
Need a point A to B car, but also capable of handling itself in snow since winter's get messy where i live. Have had Subaru's and Lexus' in the past. Am scared of subarus headgasket problems and don't think i have enough money to buy another RX330 like i used to have
Open to suggestions, new to buying cars and want to make the right choice

those things can be awd
If you're not afraid of looking like a scumlord you could try buying a truck like a ford ranger or something
idk man have you read the whole entire sticky yet?
all the info may help you out somehow (excluding the motorcycle section)
I've found a lot of subaru's within my price range, are there years that are more reliable than others?
>>17683311
I wouldn't be opposed, just worried about driving in snow
Hey guys, so I have a plan to use 5 peltier cells attached to my exhaust to power my cell phone while I drive. Basically these cells can use a thermal energy difference to generate electrisity. To get this temperature difference I will be attaching one side of the cell to the exhaust and the other side to a heat sink. So I was wondering if you guys could help me decided where to place it. It needs to be under the car to get airflow to the heat sink but also on the hottest component of the exhaust. Would as close to the engine as I can get it be the best choice ? Let me know what you think. On a side note I've done the math and this has negligable benefits I'm just doing it as a fun project. Thanks
Down pipe, right at the bend where the exhaust (coming from the engine) bends to tuck under the car. Or maybe the cat if you've got one. Both spots get pretty fucken hot.
>>17683288
depends on the car famo
if your car has a turbo, exhaust temps are usually hotter when the car is in operation
although generally yes, the closer in the exhaust system to the engine, the hotter the pipes will be.
for your purposes you should definitely do some trial and error testing on this.
i have to ask though, what made you think of this
to me this seems insanely unnecessary
>>17683288
Yes it has a turbo , and like I said just doing it for fun. According to my math accounting for avg losses in the motor, belts, alternator, cableing and convertor you would need around 820 charges to the avg phone battery to equal a gallon of gas.
