Its an evil but someone's it can be the lesser of two evils
The bucket seats on my 69 baja bug are tattered and pretty rough, how much would it cost to just reupholster them? I dont really wanna put money into new bucket seats since I wanna save that for a new engine.
CPS
Crankshaft Position Sensor
>was confused with another part by NAPA
All I wanted was the right part when I pulled the old one out so I didn't have to leave the air ducting off.
On the bright side I'm a barely-changes tires noob that did most of the work on the hardest sensor to change on a Jeep GC 2004. The year they won't let you reach it from under the vehicle. (ft. another mechanic that looked at it)
Also the stupid plastic on the gear change cable thingy was breaking, I used an old wallet chain from my BMX-er days that was the same length to fix it.
I'm allowed to post here now right?
Hey Guys.
Im now owner of a 2000 Honda Prelude 2.2 VTEC 200 HP manuel.
It has
Heated leather seats
cruise control
sunroof
AC
Summer and winter tires on alloy wheels
~ 120 000 miles
i paid 5 500 €
is this a good deal or did I fucked it up?
I heard an oil change every 15 000 miles is important.
any other tips and tricks?
>>17836946
Not a bad price if it's mint. Change the oil every 5k. The factory interval was probably 10k.
>>17836968
Every 5000 ? Isn't that a bit low? I mean for me that would mean i have to make a oil change every 3 months
>>17837112
I change the oil on my SW20 every 3000, 2500 if I've been driving it often, and every 1000 if I track it.
This guy really wants to sell his truck
/o/ do you have any discout codes for Modbargains website?
Does anyone know what the grey/black rectangle at the base of the tail gate is called on second gen dodge trucks or where to get them as well as if they ever made them for the dodge dakota?
Looks like a generic stick-on rubber bumper protector.
My car has a leakage problem. I suspect that it's from the sunroof. Water is dripping from the side pillar above the window on the front passenger's side.
How can I fix this.
>>17836082
>how can i fix this.
by googling it
>>17836082
unclog the drainage tubes on your sunroof

Find out where the fucker is leaking and take a picture
What are some of the major things to look out for on this generation of preludes? Also, what is a fair price range for these things?
I found one for sale parked on the side of the road near my college. It's a 1991 Honda Prelude Si. I don't think it's a 4WS model, but it is a Manual transmission. 160,000 miles
I didn't get a chance to inspect it closely, but I did notice quite a bit of rust (and rot) on the body panels behind the rear wheels. But living on the east coast, that's kinda to be expected for a 25 year old car.
Price listed was around 2200 dollars. He says price non negotiable, but would it be a good idea to ask anyways?

It's.....a video about replacing literal pop on and pop off parts?

So what do I need to do in order to become a professional racing car driver?
Rule out the money problem

be skilled
>>17835363
Amateur and semi-pro racing circuits are a thing, and pros usually start young. Get cracking.
honestly money. even if you have the skill you will only really get noticed by winning popular races around the country and that requires money.
Where were you when Alfa Romeo came back to the BTCC?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meTYw3d0ghw
>>17835341
BTCC is not the same as it once was, but a nice addition to the grid anyway
Would love to see it in an old spice livery desu
>tfw realized i have a few old books on car mechanics and shit from my granddad
gonna be a comfy read boys
>>17835050
Same here.
>recieve old as fuck book about car maintenance from the 70's or something
>covers everything from adjusting carbs to fixing different kinds of body damage
>don't have carbs but okay
>pictures are crisp as fuck though
Cars were so mechanically simple back then even shitboxes from the 80's and 90's look complicated.
Been trying to find a new front proportioning valve for my 99 ford taurus SE, and I haven't had any luck, any advice?
>>17834970
Dealer
And what part are you talking about? Pretty sure "proportioning valve" is NOT what you are looking for
Is it just listed as a combination valve?
Some manufactures combine the functions of the proportioning valve and metering valve into one assembly. Combination is just one of the names used for this type of design
A person sent me this photo, and I'd like to know what is the model of the car. Can anyone guess? I have no more photos, just this one. Any info will be appreciated.
