Just get it replaced you poopchute.
I'm thinking of buying a used one. Hatchback. The newest gen is above my budget, the second gen seems like just the right combination of fun, practical and affordable.
Europe. Looking at the 2.0 liter petrol version.
Thoughts?
Good thing you're in Europe or else I'd throw acid on the paint

What was your worst /o/ fail?
I just scratched my rear bumper over small pole that wasn't visible in the rear mirrors. What's worse, i was sure noise was coming from bottom of my car scratching the high curb i was jumping off from, so i realized my rear bumper is scratched after i stopped in different place later.
I had other minor fails coming off from pretending wrc on gravel roads and shit, i even dug my car in mud once, but this scratching thing is making me depressed. It's kind of a fail that this smartphone girl (you know, one who always holds up the traffic because she's writing messages) in her small city car would do.
Some time in 2008 I was installing a Cobb downpipe on my STi (pictured, and yes, I had an STi at age 18). The engine was still pretty warm from last use and I completely rounded off several of the nuts or bolt heads holding the stock downpipe to the turbo.
I had to fucking dremel the bolts off, but it ended up okay.
>Or, that one time in 2009...
When I was replacing the water pump and belts on my current miata only to shear the entire head off of the single, very large, main crankshaft bolt. I had fun extracting that...
Hit black ice and wiped out into a snow bank.
That day I learned that snow tires don't make you invincible.

This happened a week or so ago.
>with mates, going for a drink somewhere
>just doing a simple maneuver to go in the opposite direction
>busy street but whatever, it was retarded simple
>back into a garage driveway
>chatting and thinking of other shit so I completely misjudge the space and forget to look at the mirror
>bump into a car that was parked
>my car had the side of the bumper all scratched, the other one was the same plus some plastic molding popped off
>somehow a guy who was passing was friends with the owner of the car I just bumped into
>he calls the guy
>the guy arrives and we fill in the insurance form
>to this day I still don't get how the fuck I did that
Are Korean cars good yet?
>>17701782
They are ok now...not good but ok
Last korean car I drove was a 2009 sonata and the mirrors didn't even fold in, battery was held in place by a small rusty screw, center console latch broke through light usage but was like a $4 fix, and just generally built shitty. Korean car makers should just rebrand themselves and start over.
They're trying real fucking hard, so that's something.
hi /o/
my mum is getting a new lease, any recs?
requirements;
-manual
-fast/sporty
-hatchback
i think it also has te be a diesel since she makes a lot of miles with it.
lease can be about 1000 eurobucks/ month
self bump
pls ;_;
>>17701752
Literally anything she likes that fots the budget. They should all come woth warranties. Prices are different and parts are with different availability so there is too much variance.
>>17701752
Golf GTI, I guess. It's fast, it's manual, it's pretty sporty (for a hatchback), and it's a hatchback. However, i prefer women don't get behind the wheel of a fast car, so do you.
My dudes, I'm in need of help, you see I am GM ASEP student - basically a paid intern for any GM dealerships. The problem is that I've had no luck with getting hired at any dealerships, is it because I have no shop experience and that I have to be gone two days in a week for school, or am I just having bad luck? Either way I'm wondering if /o/ has any ideas on how to get hired at a dealership.
Isn't that a question for your school?
>>17701358
My school didn't do shit when I asked for help, that's why I'm asking for help here.
>>17701380
You were ripped off
after looking up pics of installed transmissions, nothing i found looks like this. why am i seeing gears after this engine swap on 1500k silverado to the 350 5.7L?

That's the flywheel
apparently whoever did it forgot the flywheel cover
Don't worry, it's not a huge deal, but you should get a cover for cheap so dust and stuff dont get in and wear our your clutch
>>17701318
Why is a hot exhaust pipe under the torque converter? Also kills ground clearance. That is all kinds of fucked up.
Is budget Italian motoring the conclusive automotive redpill?
Maybe 20 years ago. Now they are total shit. Italian motor industry went to shit since lancia stopped making sport car and started making shopping-car.

Is this shit ironic?
Speaks volumes about car enthusiasts, Enthusiastic about that black dicc ofcourse.
I need explanation as to why every trap/gansta/deep house/anything "tough" guy music is paired with cars? I guarantee none of those dope ass music uploaders ride anything else than bus or low budget car. So are listeners. So why bother really?
>>17700802
Because cars as seen as manly, but you can't make a 4 minute long video of someone loading a gun. Unless you assemble and disassemble it, but that isn't seen as manly either. So the only option is cars.

Oh, you thought you couldn't... that's why Lil Ugly Mane made Throw Dem Gunz.
